• "One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in for comfort, facilities and location."

  A real home from home. Very dog friendly and the dog bed in the window for our family security consultant was a very welcome addition. The local walks were wonderful and the river views and the sounds of the birds every morning were very relaxing. Really can't praise this place highly enough. If you want somewhere with a peaceful location and a lovely pub but close to the main road for easy access to everywhere then this is the cottage for you.

• "A lovely property,possibly the best- equipped we have ever stayed in."

  Even provided lint eye-pads to remove make- up!Two TVs ( although we never did fathom out how to direct the cursor on the main set) , plenty of crockery,cutlery,cookware.My! Our bed was ginormous and so comfortable! Lovely showers/WCs. The poor weather meant it was not possible to enjoy the decking to full potential. Everything was clean . We did not meet the owners but Keith sounded very nice and wrote sympstheticallywhen we had to go home a day early due to a sudden health problem! We would most certainly recommend Armandos to anybody and would stay again. It may be my poor parking skills but I found it complicated trying to parallel park outside the front door without banging into the flowerbed behind!

• "This was our third stay at Armando, and it was as lovely as ever."

  A fabulous base to explore Cornwall, and a beautiful house with every attention to detail. You feel really looked after by the owners, who on this occasion had kindly left a gift of some chocolates and a birthday card for our daughter who had a birthday during the stay, which was a lovely suprise. We will definitely be back again.

• "This was our third stay, and just as wonderful as our first."

  The property is very well maintained, very comfortable and furnished to a high standard, it's very much a home from home. There is everything provided there you could ask for and more. The location is very central for visiting all areas of Cornwall, Devoran is a very pretty village and our dog's loved their daily walk down to the creek.We find for us this is the perfect place to stay and hope to be able to stay for many more holidays. • "We booked a 2 week stay at "Armando" based on it's location and how good it looked on the Sykes website."

  We were so pleased with our choice. "Armando" is set in a lovely, quiet location but only a couple of minutes off the A39. The house is high spec and was really well presented. Easy off road parking with simple entry and exit to the house. We had no problems during our stay but Keith & Linda , the owners, were only a text away in the event of any issues. We also received a very informative email from Keith a few days in advance. Location is second to none. Falmouth and Truro are only around 15 minutes away. Other favourites of ours, Padstow, Fowey, Mevagissey and Looe are all within easy reach. Very dog friendly, with some nice local walks, our Cockerpoo, Barney, found it to be a home from home. We definitely recommend "Armando" and would readily return in the future. We give "Armando" a well deserved 10/10. It was the best holiday rental we have stayed in. • "We had a wonderful week in this pretty village, a perfect location for exploring Cornwall."

  This upstairs living cottage is very comfortable and clean, had everything we needed during our stay, and the garden terrace was a lovely area to enjoy the unexpected sunshine. The hosts, Keith and Linda, provided a comprehensive and informative arrival email and there were lots of lovely little touches for our dog. We would definitely recommend this property.

• "Beautiful, beautiful place to stay and very well equipped."

  Easily found off the main road, but a really quiet location. There is a wonderful pub at the end of the road and lovely walks down to the quayside which are great for the dogs. So l would highly recommend this house; you can really see the owners have spent a lot of time renovating and looking after the house. Thank you so much Keith and Linda. We all loved staying here.

  Luckily the property offered some compensation for the inconvenience to allow us to book Armando. Keith and Linda were the perfect hosts providing a lovely clean home in a great location and provided lots of helpful information of where to go and what to see.   The historic village of Devoran is in a great position for exploring the county and is close to a variety of good eating places. The owners gave us comprehensive information about the property's facilities and their welcome gift was much appreciated. If we come back to Cornwall we would certainly like to stay here again.

• "We have just returned from a week's stay at Armando in Devoran."

  The cottage is very spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing break. On this occasion we had brought my mum along so she could visit a childhood friend who resides in Falmouth. She also has early onset Dementia and at first found the topsy-turvy layout a bit confusing but soon got used to it. The two of us loved sitting out on the terrace and listening to the birds. My mum commented on how quiet it was as there wasn't a lot of traffic noise. Our little dog Maisie especially enjoyed the trips to the creek which I have to say is such a beautiful place when the tide is in. Our son joined us for the last five days and he found getting around on public transport was easy with local buses and the train station not too far away. Overall, we all had a very enjoyable stay and would definitely like to return at some point again in the future. Many thanks Neil & Debbie Dawson

  Loved that there was even a dog bed. Very clean on arrival and very comfy stay. Devoran is a lovely village with some great places to walk the dog. Location is perfect for exploring, nowhere was more that an hours drive away. Will be back one day!

• "Wow, wow and wow."

  The pictures do not do Armando justice at all it is truly amazing and we all loved it. The house was really clean when we arrived and Armando has everything you need. The upside down living is genius with the L shaped open plan kitchen dining area and sneaky views to the creak. The old Quay in pub is just a 2 minute walk away serving good pub food and good beer and cider. The Quay just down the road is beautiful, especially at high tide with all the birds. Thank you to Keith and Linda for letting us stay in this beautiful house and I think we have found a new favorite part of Cornwall.

• "We had a fabulous 2 week stay at Armando in charming Devoran."

  The house is extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The owners (Keith and Linda ) have really thought about those special touches that make a good holiday into a great holiday and checking by email to make sure everything’s ok was a nice touch too. As for location, it’s a two minute stroll to the most magical stretch of water, great for paddle boarding and kayaking - you can store them in the garage so no need to deflate the board each time. In the evening you can watch the sun go down and hear the curlews calling … just wonderful! It never got too busy and we stayed in mid August and the weather was scorching! The local pub is a joy too, great food and friendly people. By car, Truro is just a few miles just up the road and Falmouth is just a few miles further in the opposite direction. Easy access to the great beaches, gardens and restaurants. Hope to return next year.

• "Armando will not disappoint if your looking for beautiful home to explore Cornwall from."

  That’s if you can get out of the so comfy bed, peaceful location makes motivation nigh impossible. Wether you choose the kitchen,sun terrace or the lounge to plan your day’s adventure, you probably find yourself still there daydreaming. The host Kieth always on hand any emergencies.. Maybe turn left short walk to the tranquil estuary around 3:00pm watch the tide come in, locals love chat, few are proper characters. Pub the Old Quay Inn just up the hill, staff always warm welcome & the food amazing..Enjoy your holiday at Armando.

• "Wonderful property, beautifully decorated and furnished."

  Lacked for nothing. Keith and Linda were very attentive - thank you. The location is perfect for a relaxing holiday with flat walks along the waterfront or hillier ones inland if that’s more your thing. Local pub (1/4mile) serves great food and drink. No shops in Devoran itself but there is a Spar in Carnon Downs just over a mile away. <10mins drive to Truro and 20mins to Falmouth if you need more. Would we return to Armando? Definitely.

  Thank you so much - we really do try hard to make sure the cottage is presented well. We generally have self catering holidays ourselves and have often been appalled at the lack of cleanliness and quality of things like knives and utensils. We hope to see you again. • "We really enjoyed our stay at Armando, it was very well equipped, extremely clean and the décor was really lovely (well done Linda."

  ) There was plenty of room for all 6 of us adults and the owners, Keith and Linda left a lovely box of chocolates which were enjoyed by everyone! There was plenty parking for 2 cars, our 3rd car was parked at the end of the road by the creek. The Old Quay Inn just around the corner was really quaint with a lovely atmosphere and the creek was lovely to walk along. Armando is also very well situated to access all parts of Cornwall.

• "This house was the very best one we have stayed in, the owners were amazing, leaving wine for us then, one for us to celebrate our ruby anniversary, the house is five star with top quality china, bedding, towels and white goods ,was also was lovely and warm and heating was only put on one night and it was mid October, the out side space was very well kept and was lovely to sit and have coffee in the sun two very happy customers."

• "We really enjoyed our stay at Armando!"

  The home is beautifully decorated and has all of the comforts of home. There is even a glimpse of Devoran Creek from the kitchen! The local pub is very near and serves nice food in a friendly atmosphere. There's a lot to see and do within a short drive. Would highly recommend this cottage.

• "This is a great property, well furnished and the owners have thought of everything, even down to detergent for the washing machine."

  We would definitely recommend and would love to return. The location is beautiful, a few minutes from the creek which is a lovely walk in the evening then on to the Quay Inn for dinner. It is easy to get to most places and park and ride is the best way to get into most of the towns, especially St Ives and Newquay. The owners kept in touch with us and left a bottle of wine on our arrival. Great holiday, thank you,.

• "Our stay in Armando was perfect, just what was needed after a manic year."

  The cottage it's self is beautiful with not a penny spared from decor to plates and cutlery. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet, and when the weather permitted, the decking outside was where we spent most afternoons. We did a little sightseeing, paddle boarding and kayaking but most of our time was spent just relaxing at either the cottage or the local pub. I would definitely recommend staying at armando and we de5be back.
