  • "We loved Upper Gren, the view from the house is stunning and it was comfortable and well equipped."

It is in a wonderful location close to the coast path and the beaches. The odd light bulb was out but no major issues at all. We would love to come back one day. Thank you!

Thank you so much for your comments. We love hearing just how much you enjoyed your stay! Hopefully we can welcome you back again in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The cottage is in an absolutely fabulous location, with amazing views, is well equipped and we loved our stay."

The bag of goodies on arrival was a really nice touch. Just a few minor things, which didn't affect our holiday, but as feedback has been asked for I thought worth mentioning. Quite a few of the light bulbs had blown - I found a box of bulbs in one of the cupboards so replaced them no problem, but was surprised this wasn't checked by the letting agent. Cleaning was so, so (in particular the smeary glass kitchen cupboards and shower) - we stayed at the very beginning of easter, and it looked like the house hadn't been given the once over prior to arrival. Again minor point, which is maybe the agents fault? There were also inconsistent house instructions; we were sent some info by the agent, and there were 2 files in the house, with differing info eg on bin days (I braved the storms on Monday night as one file said bin collection was Tuesday, only to find it was actually on Friday). Doesn't take much to check that kind of thing, which again is surely the agents responsibility? And probably doing itself disservice not to show photos of the games room in the garage (which is fab) and to promote the lovely welcome food bag. So positives: fab cottage, amazing location, would definitely want to stay again, the online info doesn't do it justice! Negatives: would benefit from more attention to detail in terms of cleaning, and consistent correct cottage information would add to the overall experience. Maybe is it because it's under Sykes management?

  • "We spent a lovely week in your house ."

It was comfortable and had such a beautiful outlook with views of the sea and the comfy patio. we will be booking again. Despite a problem with the hob needing replacing John Bray organised a replacement fairly swiftly so we weren’t disadvantaged for too long. The kitchen was well stocked and we wanted for nothing . Thankyou. Cary Sinclair- Kemp

  • "Your policy on no car electric car charging is a little backward."

We no longer have a combustion engine car in our family and we love it as we can plug our car at the bottom of our driveway and never go to a petrol station! We stopped at the Lifton supercharger to avoid charging at your property as per your restrictions. Normally we wouldn’t have to charge enroute given the distance as we could have plugged a 3 pin plug in your property. I appreciate electricity costs money but I would argue you could charge a premium for the convenience. Our battery is 70kwh so from empty to full at 50p/kWh is £35. No one turns up empty! You could round up to £50 for each car someone wanted to charge. I agree having a rule of only charging 1 car at a time to avoid overloading the socket circuits. An approach like this would be a value add service and further differentiate your property. Thank you, Peter.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. Our policy is that if there is no EV charging point at a property then you will unfortunately not be able to charge your car there due to health and safety risks. We are sorry for any incontinence this causes and do appreciate your feedback. We hope to welcome you back in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We love staying at Upper Gren; it’s surprisingly spacious and we always get at least one glorious sunset view!"

Love the outside areas too. We’ve stayed several times and noticed this time the property was not as clean: crockery with residues, old socks behind curtain, general floor cleanliness etc

Thank you for your lovely feedback, The sunsets here are amazing. Thank you for your comments about the cleanliness, this will be looked into. We look forward to welcoming you back to Upper Gren very soon. John Brays on behalf of the owner Property Owner
