  • "It has been difficult to find words to sum up the holiday."

The cottage was lovely, clean and in an excellent location. The one issue ( apart from way too many scatter cushions) was the hot water, or lack of it. Luke warm in the morning and despite using boost we had to fill kettles to have a shallow bath. The power shower wasn’t working either. The lack of a relaxing bath after a long day walking out a shadow on an otherwise excellent holiday. I emailed at the start of our stay but had no response. I used the shower in the nearby gym. I wasn’t going to write a review but keep getting reminders. We really did love the cottage, just needs the hot water sorting. That’s the only reason I would not recommend it.

Thank you for your feedback and glad that you found the cottage lovely and clean. We were very sorry to hear that you had problems with the lack of hot water during your stay and apologise for this but unfortunately we not made aware of this issue. The guests who arrived after yourselves on the 17th May made us aware upon arrival of this same issue and we immediately contacted an emergency plumber who came out straight away and the problem was resolved. The guests were pleased with our extremely quick response. Unfortunately I am not sure who you emailed but I contacted Sykes upon receiving this feedback after your stay who stated that they hadn't received an email from yourself. We are sorry once again that you had this issue but can only reiterate that if we had known it would have been quickly sorted and resolved. We do hope that it didn't spoil your holiday too much. Kind regards. Property Owner

  • "The holiday cottage was very comfortable and well equipped but there was some ..."

The holiday cottage was very comfortable and well equipped but there was some maintenance and cleasiness issues the furniture needed cleaning behind beds and television very dusty the second bedroom door latch was broken and the toilet door lock on ground floor wouldn’t lock which caused some embarrassment but overall the property was in a good location and close to the beach

Thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves in trying to offer a great holiday experience and as such send all our guests our personal email prior to arrival and state that if there are any issues, no matter how small, then to please contact us. We have a wonderful cleaner , Kay and a great onsite handyman , Keith who would have tried their best to remedy these issues immediately if we had known. As soon as we were aware of these issues we contacted them both straight away and as such the cleaning/repairs are being resolved. However we do hope that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for saying that our cottage was very comfortable and well equipped as this means a lot to us. Property Owner

  • "Very disappointing stay."

On arrival there was no heating on and the main source of heating in the lounge/diner was a storage heater which meant we didn't have any heat until the next morning. Could not contact local office as we had no phone signal. We were in for Christmas week so it was unlikely the cottage hadn't been occupied for some time and with inclement weather during this period the place was very cold. My wife and I have stayed in many cottages throughout the uk over the years but this was the first time there were no seasonal decorations and welcome pack The place was nicely furnished and decorated well and sure it's quite pleasant in the summer but for us it was a very cold stay

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback which is always welcome and it is important to us that the issues you have raised are addressed. We are surprised to hear that there was no welcome pack in the property and we will follow this up with the housekeeper to ensure it doesn't happen again. We were sorry to hear that you felt cold upon arrival but there are clear instructions in the property cottage manual on how the heating works which can be easily and quickly turned up at any time. Thank you for your comments about Christmas decorations but guests normally call before booking to enquire as we don't decorate due to guests varying beliefs. The issue with no mobile signal is new to us and previous guests have been able to get a signal in the property or use wi-fi calling without any problem. However we do hope that you still managed a lovely and relaxing break in our cottage and thank you again for all your comments. Property Owner

  • "This property was lovely."

Had everything. One and only problem was the two chairs for garden they were faulty,(dowel at back of one chair kept coming out, quite wobbly) They need to invest in two recliner beds

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are so pleased you had a lovely stay at our cottage but was sorry to hear about the problem with the two outside chairs. We have now had them repaired but will be investing in new recliners in the near future. Thank you for letting us know. Property Owner

  • "Property clean and nicely decorated."

Would have benefitted from hand towels for washing hands in wash basins and kitchen could do with a bit of an update with hob looking a bit tired and no dishwasher. Welcome basket was a nice touch and board games. Living area was bigger than expected and accommodation was well situated for those with a car to travel in easy distance to local beaches and Falmouth town.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback as this is important to us. We are continually strving to improve our Cottage so that it meets customers expectations. We will follow up your comment about the lack of hand towels with the cleaning agency and we are currently in the process of upgrading kitchen appliances. We are glad you enjoyed the welcome pack and board games! Glad you enjoyed the welcome basket and also the board games. Property Owner
