  • "Sat 07 Sept 24 - Thurs 12th Sept 24 We are very disappointed in our stay at this apartment as primarily our reason for choosing it and what we paid for fell short in the following areas."

Firstly I’d like to address what was advertised in the description which we simply didn’t have. (I have screenshots of the apartment description if u need to see them) A Smart TV. There was no tv in this property whatsoever and we wouldn’t have booked if we knew this. We have a small child with us and on rainy days we could have used a smart tv to watch a movie, also it would have been nice to have the morning news on everyday. A Microwave, there was no microwave which made it very difficult to warm our babies milk in the morning and night and also warm up baby food throughout the day. The large extractor fan above the kitchen island doesn’t work and created lots of smoke when cooking. The extractor on the wall isn’t fit for purpose and is the opposite side of the kitchen. The garden is half finished. Not very nice to look at, and should feature in the photos as we were under the impression we’d have a recently refurbished garden as advertised. There wasn’t enough warm water for 4 people to have a quick shower each morning. This meant our son had a cold shower most mornings and there was no warm water throughout the day until 2pm. This again wasn’t advertised. The WiFi is incredibly slow as well. This combined with no tv meant we couldn’t even stream movies on our phones very well. I look forward to seeing what compensation u can offer based on the simple fact that what was advertised and paid for wasn’t provided. As a business owner myself, if I advertise a product and don’t deliver on what I advertised, I cannot in good faith charge for something that is essentially false advertisement. Kind Regards, Tony

  • "Average - Cornwall and Falmouth in sun make up for lacking at accommodation."

James’ Place has potential if garden was finished/safe, damp was sorted and description updated to make it clear there is no provision to ‘settle in the lounge and watch a movie’ We knew there was no TV but if it had rained all week the lack of useable speed internet, no TV, no radio, no entertainment (there were some antique books and games) would be a problem. Would stay somewhere else next time before considering here.

  • "Just back from a lovely week at Jamie's Place."

The property is beautifully presented with modern kitchen and stylish furniture. Excellent en suite and shower. Kitchen opens onto the large decking area and the outside is completely enclosed and very secure for dogs which we appreciated with our escape artist. It was a shame that the garden area wasn't finished (covered with black weed membrane) so not very attractive. Also no garden furniture for the decking area except fold up camping chairs. Also be aware that there is no TV or music/speakers at the property which came as a bit of a surprise to us.

  • "The property was well situated ,tidy, clean and a good size."

The small garden area needs to be finished off and there was no outside furniture. There was also confusion over a smart tv that is no longer there but is mentioned in the details in the Sykes app which I had downloaded. We initially had a problem with the keys but it was quickly resolved which was partly our fault. Parking on the street was fine but I could see that being a big problem during the main summer months especially at weekends so this would put us off coming back at peak times in the season. It is a good place for dogs as garden is small but secure. It was nice and close to the beaches for taking the dog for a walk and everywhere is dog friendly which is great
