  • "An excellent place to stay."

Very clean with all the home from home comforts you would need. The garden in better weather would have been used a lot. It is exceptionally quiet and being set back from the road you hardly heard infrequent passing traffic. The main bedroom has a HUGE very comfortable bed. Altogether, an exceptional find and we would not hesitate to book again,

Thank you very much for for feedback..Hope you come again and the weather is kind to you, so you can enjoy the lovely garden. Property Owner

  • "The property was clean, comfy, well-located and very quiet."

I will be booking it again for next year. On the whole it's fantastic value for money. It would have been nice to have had a BBQ. The sofas in the lounge could also do with updating as they made my back ache a little and the cushions slip off easily. As with all holiday properties, the photos were slightly deceiving (because of the lens used). I found the beds and linen were particularly comfortable.

  • "Lovely house in a great location with great country views from the main bedroom."

Just 10 minute walk to town or beach was perfect for us too. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. The bed was amazing, had brilliant sleep! We especially appreciated the blackout curtains in the main bedroom. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is due to the seagulls. They have been left to nest on the chimney of the house when they could have been sorted earlier. As the eggs had hatched then the parents were very aggressive in protecting them. In particular, they constantly swooped to attack our dog. It really spoilt our stay as we just couldn't use the garden. For anyone staying in July then it may be the same until they leave the nest. We would stay again, just not during nesting season!

Thank you for your comments. Really sorry about the seagulls, but having the house in my family for 30 years this has never happened before.. But once the chicks have left we'll sort out the chimmey so this won't be a problem again.. So next time you come you'll be able to enjoy the garden Many thanks Property Owner

  • "Our break at Number 37 was perfect: like home from home!"

Immaculately clean throughout, our accommodation was warm, comfortable and considerably equipped with everything needed for our week long stay. Ample parking to the front, the back garden has a secure space for our dog to play with a neat patio area, well furnished but sadly unused by us due to the poor weather. The games room table in the garage was a bonus with pool, table tennis and air hockey (competitively!) enjoyed by us all. Situated in a quiet residential street, the property is very close to the golf course, a Chinese takeaway and Tapas restaurant with Crooklets Beach and the town centre just a 10 minute stroll away. We hope to return to Bude in the near future and would not hesitate to book Number 37 again. Thank you!

The beds are comfy (especially the superking size bed), the house has plenty of space, including a bedroom for each of my teens (v. important), has been sympathetically modernised and is in a perfect location for a short walk to the beach and the shops in Bude centre. To top this we can bring our furry familiar member too! Can’t wait to go back.

  • "This property is spacious and in a good location, only 15/20 minutes walk into Bude town centre and Crooklets Beach."

The kitchen is nicely fitted and is well equipped. The beds are comfortable with good quality bedding. The master bedroom is lovely and with some proper curtains (instead of just over large blackout linings) it would be wonderful. The house itself inside was clean except for the windows, but the ‘games room’, ie the garage, was dirty and dingy with loads of cobwebs - such a shame as the children and the adults enjoyed the games table, which was of good quality. The garden is spacious but needs a bit of attention. Lovely rainfall shower in the downstairs bathroom but no handle on the inside to open the door when inside ( my grandson and I both locked ourselves in there - we did manage to reach over the top of the door to pull it open so did get out after a slight panic!) The house could be gorgeous if it was made a bit more cosy and homely.

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The photos don't do the property justice. It was a great size and comfortably housed my family of 4 and dog. It was clean and well presented. The games room is a great addition, but it is freezing as it is in the garage. The property is in a great location, with an easy walk to town and the beaches. It could do with a few a few improvements....blinds downstairs for privacy, simple fixes such as leaky shower, blocked outside drain. It was very wet when we were there and there was no airer to dry clothes. I did tell the caretaker and although they did look for one, did not provide us with one. Thanks goodness for radiators. All in all a lovely property and would return.

About the location

BUDE

Tintagel 17 miles.

Bude is a fabulous coastal town that once visited you will want to come back to time and time again. Bude has something for everyone, great beaches for relaxing, and building sandcastles on, rockpools for investigating at low tide and cafes to watch it all from. The rolling waves are great for surfing all year round, and the footpaths by the restored canal or on the North Cornwall coastal path offer you a superb opportunity to explore and appreciate the outstanding countryside. Bude also has a superb golf course, indoor swimming pool, bowling alley/indoor play area and Heritage Centre at Bude Castle. It also has a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, pubs, restaurants and excellent Information Centre. Within a short drive are the remains of a huge iron age hill fort at Warbstow Bury, from where panoramic views can be seen. For days out, take the coast road north to see the lonely lighthouse above the sea at Hartland Point or walk or ride a donkey down the steep and cobbled village street (no cars allowed) of beautiful Clovelly to the harbour and the pub far below. Follow the coast in the other direction and there's the little cove of Crackington Haven, Boscastle, King Arthur's castle at Tintagel, Doc Martin's Port Wenn at Port Isaac and yet more great surfing beaches at Polzeath.
