• "This home had everything we needed to celebrate a family birthday."

  Enough room to have space for all the family of 10 and the dog. We were met on the drive by the owner which is a lovely welcome. The garden was private and enclosed so great for the dog , perhaps more comfy seating to relax in the sun but a good amount of bench seating for eating outside. Excellent dining room and fun table tennis and a games room / snug . TV in every room. Parking for 5 cars. Clean and comfy home with a shop opposite and pub 5 mins away too. Well situated for touring Cornwall.

• "This was an excellent property that comfortably housed nine people."

  The house was extremely clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The showers in all the rooms were really good with ample hot water. When needed the heating was very efficient which made our stay really comfortable. The owners were really helpful and were available to assist us when we had any questions. All in all an excellent holiday home hence the five stars.

  There was everything we needed available and a nice welcome from our hosts. Would fully recommend as a perfect place to stay for a large group. We were 6 adults and 4 children and 2 dogs. We all had plenty of space, and had a fabulous week.

  Michele and Enzo have taken great care to provide everything you could need for a family or group stay. It's so comfortable with a lovely garden. We have stayed in many holiday homes and this is one of the best. Boscastle is a beautiful area of Cornwall with a spectacular coastline.

• "Orchard Lodge was a beautiful, welcoming, warm, very well presented home with on-site parking."

  It was extremely clean and had a very well equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were large with excellent en-suite facilities. The showers were powerful and hot. We were able to enjoy sitting in the garden, with a coffee, listening to the birds. We had fun playing table tennis. The lounges were comfortable with games, books and puzzles. It was a faultless rental in a beautiful part of the country. We would highly recommend. Michele, the owner was very welcoming and was on hand if we required anything. A very big thank you.

  Orchard Lodge is so well equipped that it feels like home. We had 3 generations staying together and the rooms, childrens games, table tennis, bbq and kitchen equipment ensured we had the most wonderful stay. The hosts are so helpful and the location in beautiful Boscastle with its eateries, shops and scenic coastal walks is just perfect.

  Bedrooms all well fitted out all with shower facilities. Kitchen - dining area all good. Only remark I could make is that the photos tend to make the garden look a little bigger than it is, however still comfortable.

• "A lovely well equipped cottage with plenty of space for everyone."

  The attention to detail was impeccable. The cottage is ideal for families of all ages, the table tennis table, board games and play station kept the children occupied. Located within easy distance for visiting towns I.e. Padstow, Tintagel, Bude and Widemouth Bay. I cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

  Table tennis and games room a hit with the kids giving adults freedom to enjoy their own space or join in. Superb property large comfy bedrooms all with own facilities. Had a fantastic holiday would definitely book again if holidaying in that area. Owners very friendly and helpful. Available if needed but didn’t interfere. We left an item when we returned home but Michele was very helpful in returning it to us.

  Very clean and tidy with facilities perfect for our family of nine. The en suites to every bedroom, comfortable beds and excellent living spaces made for an enjoyable holiday. So much to do and see in the surrounding area and our highlights included a Boscastle walk, Eden Project, Camel Trail, Tintagel, Lanhydrock and much more. Highly recommended!

  Every bedroom beautifully designed as was the whole house. The only worry if you went in the summer was pulling out onto the main road - don’t know if a mirror on opposite corner would be allowed by the council?

• "A really great property."

  Everything was thought about. It was perfect for our family holiday. We were 3 generations and the en-suite facilities and the layout gave us all plenty of space and privacy. All of the little things were thought of, there was hand wash by all of the sinks, shower gel, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and salt and pepper. There was also plenty of cutlery, crockery and glasses for us all. The beds and the bedding were really comfortable and good quality. It’s a bit of a walk down to the harbour and a choice of restaurants but there’s a really good one just around the corner, and a convenience store about 100m away. I would highly recommend.

  Michele and Enzo were great hosts. Boscastle is in a beautiful area and we found plenty to do. From beaches to walks and more. Would recommended to any with Children Teenagers or just Adults. We were a group of 8 Adults and teenagers most if the week with additional two for a villa of nights plenty of rooms to spread out into.

• "We had a super time in this lovely part of Cornwall, we liked Boscastle very much, and a visit to Padstow is a must."

  Lanhydrock N.T. 20 miles is a very special place to visit, breathtaking walks, and beautiful coves. A very clean and well equipped cottage with a pretty garden. Our group of 8 have stayed in many cottages over the years, and Orchard Lodge is in the top 3. Ideal for us, with the separate dining room, and large sitting room. Exceptionally well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds. En-suites and a bathroom which is one of our priorities, We will most definitely recommend it to our families and friends.

• "I know Covid has taken over, but it might be useful to advise that salt and pepper, and other condiments are currently not available."

  As these are still available in other properties people might be expecting them.

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only criticism would be the amount of fridge/freezer space. We had an online shop delivered for the week, catering for 10 people, so was a bit of a struggle, but we managed.

  Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review, we take on board all comments and make changes where necessary. We have now added an extra fridge and so now have the fridge/freezer, a good sized standard fridge and the beer and wine cooler. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and welcome you back in the future.   The 5 bedrooms are extremely comfortable, ensuites were absolutely perfect. The kitchen has a good range equipment with lots of different pots and pans. Dinning area has seating for 10 people with lots of space. The TV lounge has a good choice of chairs and settee's. Would recommend this to all of our families and friends. Orchard Lodge is in a brilliant location for exploring North Cornwall.

• "The house is very tastefully appointed."

  All of the rooms and contents are of a high standard and clearly chosen with thought and care. The fact that every bedroom has an on suite shower/toilet is very unusual and extremely convenient. The gardens (front and rear) are lovely, with apple trees at the rear, but smaller than they appear in the photos so, if children are part of the family, they will not have much room to run around or play games. This is not a criticism, just a fact. The rear patio area with large garden table and chairs is perfect for a sunny evening, as the light went one night we had two or three tawny owls calling in the nearby trees, lovely! With a location that is central for so many of the attractions and stunning scenery available in this part of north Cornwall, the house was an excellent choice for us and we would book again without hesitation. The Boscastle Farm shop, a 5 minute drive from the house into the hills above Boscastle is highly recommended, for high quality meals in the restaurant or purchasing some of their huge array of home farm reared meats or in house baked products.

• "This is a special property which helped us create many happy family memories."

  Every room is beautifully and individually decorated, and all have en-suite shower rooms. There are plenty of rooms for everyone to spread out and the garden and huge outdoor table meant we usually ate outside. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, and plenty big enough to cook for a large group. We had many evenings in the Napoleon Inn, the food was excellent and a really warm atmosphere. The spar shop at the bottom of town covered most of our needs, and wasn’t too expensive. For a bigger shop we headed to Wadebridge that has Tesco, Aldi and other supermarkets. All in all this was an amazing holiday home, and we hope to be back someday soon.

• "Always loved Boscastle, so wonderful to revisit the beautiful harbour again and surrounding area with all its history."

  My visit was made extra special by being able to share it with all my family on a very special birthday which we celebrated at Orchard Lodge. The property is amazing, beautifully kept with every facility you could wish for. Everyone had their own on-suite which is a real bonus with a large family and tiny baby. And a cream tea to start our stay was an extra special treat to begin a wonderful holiday. Would highly recommend this property to anyone.

  The kitchen was extremely well equipped, the lounge was really comfortable and the log fire was a lovely feature, although we didn’t actually need it as the property was plenty warm enough. Everything was spotlessly clean. Great to be able to walk straight from the door too.

  We had a wonderful holiday at orchard cottage, it met our expectations, was very comfortable and we had lots of extras that were appreciated The location , cleanliness and facilities were excellent for a family of 3 generations The quality of the beds were excellent and ensuites were a great asset We loved to walk across the road to local pub with good variety of meals We also like the access to nearby garage to get some extra groceries We could also walk into Boscastle and explore other pubs and restaurents We found owners helpful but unobtrusive
