No issues! Easy walk to fistral beach.

  • "Such a lovely house, absolutely a home ftom home and more than enough space for 7 people."

The rooms were large, the beds were very comfortable with quality furniture and bedding. The kitchen was very well laid out it had everything we needed, again good quality units, dishwasher, washing machine and superb outside space. Just a short walk to the beach and centre, we were very happy with this property and would recommend it to anyone. I could go on but safe to say there was everything we needed and more. Thank you to the owners for our stay. The only issue we had was getting in the gates, as did everyone we spoke to on the secure gated site.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay. Very kind. Thank you Property Owner

  • "The property was in a good position to both Newquay town and Fistral Beach and was clean on arrival."

However the property felt sterile and was devoid of any character - inside and out. Outdoors, the grass was in need of cutting and the gate would not bolt/line up (only latched) making it insecure for boards etc. There was no hose to rinse off with, only a tap (despite signs asking for sand not to be taken into the house/shower) and not one plant/pot in sight. The house is top heavy - whilst the property sleeps 7 there is only one bathroom/shower with very little room downstairs. The 2 x two-seater sofas need to be replaced by a large corner sofa for comfort and the TV needs upgrading to a smart TV offering guests the opportunity to sign into Prime, Netflix etc. Laminated signs are dotted around the house with 'do's and don'ts' which could be covered easily in the welcome folder, some family games would have been appreciated as would an individual welcome pack. Not for us.

  • "On arrival we had been given the wrong code to gain access through the security gate."

Not a good start! Rang the number on paperwork and was given the new code saying number had been changed. Thankfully we arrived at a reasonable time and not late in the evening. The accommodation was very spacious and in a great location to walk to the beach, coastal path and Newquay. Great to have a supermarket nearby too. We were disappointed to find the grass was really long and it made picking up the dog poo difficult. I imagine the grass hadn’t been cut in weeks. The terms and conditions stated the garden must be cleared on departure. All very well provided you could find it before you stepped in it! I made a request the following morning and was advised it would be cut the following day (Monday). Grass cutters arrived Thursday! I made contact with Sykes before leaving my review but they haven’t responded. We didn’t let this spoil our holiday but feel maintenance of the garden should not be overlooked. It’s not exactly a big garden that’s hard to manage!

sorry about the long grass, it grows crazy fast in the springtime and can be hard to keep on top of. We wonder if a patio would be a better option, but then that's not so nice for the pets. Glad that in general you had a nice holiday. Property Owner

A few issues with the parking permit which were dealt with immediately and so helpful to us. We love the alleyway leading straight to Fistral Beach, perfect for surfers and dogs and the Thai takeaway van just outside the complex does wonderful food! Perfect position to get to everything in Newquay without having to use the car!

Thanks so much for your feedback, and for comming back to stay for a third time ! Glad you enjoyed. Property Owner

  • "The property was much bigger than expected and was well laid out and had everything we needed."

The compact garden was lovely (the strong winds dislodged the gate lock so we left feedback with the agent). The oven door was broken but a note had been left for us and the agent arranged for it to be fixed while we were out and none of this spoiled the stay. The location is perfect for Fistral Beach and having secure parking was brilliant. We've stayed in the Bredon Crt apartments previously but being able to stay in this house was so much easier with our dog. The photos really do not show how good this property is and the reviews from others say similar.

The only negatives that I would mention are the freezer is quite frozen and needs defrosting, the garden could do with a bit of TLC as grass is about a foot high and there was a lot of dog hairs on one of the settees.

Sorry that the freezer needed a defrost, and the long grass ! Both were addressed shortly after your feedback and helped us to improve for other guests. Property Owner

The property is in a superb location, close to all amenities and beaches. Secure parking (for one car), and visitor spaces too (48hr with 72hr gap). The property is nice and clean and has pretty much everything you would need too. The bedrooms are huge, one a king size, another with 2x singles, and the 3rd with 3x singles. (Hard mattresses though imo). Communication throughout was great too from the owner/Syresham. Would definitely recommend and return again.

Quiet private location, good facilities and plenty of room. Garden small but enough to socialise and for the dogs. FANTASTIC location!! Walk out the back of the court 5 mins down the path and you are on Fistral beach and Pentire Headland overlooking Crantock beach is a further 20 mins walk to the left. Walk out the front of the court straight down the hill and you are at the high street with food and shops. If you keep walking down the hill 10 mins from the court is the harbour and all the town beaches. All dog friendly. I will definitely be returning still got things to do and see.

  • "We booked this cottage that was really well located in Newquay for 6 people which meant taking 2 cars."

We were not happy when the visitors parking pass was not supplied as it stated on the booking form that there would be especially as when I called to ask about this pass I was asked to explain in a few words our issues and somebody would email me back (not a great way to have a response) which didn’t materialise anyway. This actually cast our daughter £8.20 per day which when your on a tight budget was a bit of a kick in the teeth. The house though was great location and very tidy and would definitely stay there again

Thank you for your feed back. We are very sorry you did not have a permit for the visitor's parking bay. Unfortunately there was a problem with the parking permits being misplaced before you arrived at the property. We requested new permits but these took a while to be prepared and sent to the property. The new visitor's permit is now at the property and can be used in the visitor's parking bay. Property Owner

We could walk from the house to Fistral and to Towan with our surfboards. Great lounge and kitchen space with large bedrooms. Very clean. Got a parking ticket on first day as didn't read the information pack on arrival and was too busy looking at parking space numbers to notice the signs. PUT PARKING TICKET IN CAR WINDOW IMMEDIATELY!! Downstairs toilet had some issues with flushing, water would keep running but just had to wiggle the top of the flushing compartment. No hairdryer in any of the rooms. Would definitely stay again at 4 Bredon Court, really enjoyed our holiday despite the parking ticket and other niggles. Just a pre warning for future guests.

Not enough pots, pans, glasses or mugs for everyone to eat or drink together. Make sure you note that there is only parking for one car. You may have visitors park outside but only for a limited time. The boiler was not working when we booked it but they didn't tell us this and we had to call them out as the noise was very worrying. We had to call many times, this is not suitable for a holiday let in its current state, I like my holidays to be relaxing and fun, it was not. I would not recommend this at this price, nor for 7 people!

TV and dishwasher were working properly, they are repaired. Only disadvantage was the unability to open the front-windows. We had best sunny weather, so it was hot in two of the sleeping rooms, fan couldn't help much. I hope the windows are replaced now. We liked the little garden, shadow in the evening to relax. Unfortunately the former renter didn't put the keys in the keysafe, left the keys inside the house :( So we had to wait nearly an hour for the housekeeper to let us inside.

We would happily stay here again as it suited the dogs and nice little garden but maybe a few things need fixing. Downstairs toilet also constantly runs unless you flush it for a 2nd time!

, reworked the aerial cable but only worked for a day, Jenny who was very helpful supplied a new lead but still no good, she suggested borrowing a tv from another flat this worked but not very well until a new tv was installed and all was fine, also the downstairs toilet sistern constantly ran day and night after flushing, we decided to leave day early due to the heat and no air and lack of sleep, fans were supplied but noise kept us awake,

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise for the windows not being able to open. We recently purchased the property, and only became aware of this issue after the purchase. We have ordered new windows, and we are now waiting for the installation. We were alerted to the TV not working, and purchased a new one immediately, which was delivered the next day. Property Owner
