  • "Thank you for letting us stay in your great holiday cottage."

Loved the vibrant 60’s carpets on living room and bedroom floors! Haha. Always really appreciate when there are some kitchen staples in the cupboards. A really efficient washing machine and dryer. Great views and a good walk up the hill from the beach to burn off the pasties!

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay and had the perfect base to explore the local area from. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We had a fantastic week at Hillview."

The house was perfect for us, plenty of space, comfortable and only five minutes walk to the beach. The only thing we struggled with was hot water for the shower didn’t last long so if we all wanted to shower after the beach, half the family had cold showers. The views from the house are great… brace yourselves for the steep walk up to the house, def a workout!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit. We wonder if the hot water setting was set incorrectly. We will take a look to sort it. We wish you informed us during your stay! We hope to welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "We enjoyed our stay here."

The location is great: just uphill from the beach, with the ability to check the surf from the main bedroom and living room. Sofas were comfy and the shower was good. The outside tap and garage were useful for beach gear and we loved the bunnies on the lawn each day. There was no washing up liquid. Not a problem for us as we brought our own, but it seemed like the previous visitors had not left some kitchen items that clean as a result. A few things would benefit from some updating but for the price we paid we didn't mind.

Thank you for your kind comments, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "Property was nice, facilities were brilliant, spare batteries for the TV remote were much needed on day 3 as remote became stubborn."

The back Bedroom Wardrobe RH Hinge was broken upon arrival, so didn't use that door during our stay. Having an additional fridge / Freezer in the garage was super useful, as was the exercise bike. Ran out out Black Bin Bags it appeared, so had to buy some. Beds were soft and no complaints. Front Windows were grubby which spoiled the nice view, but the wife give them a once over. One lounger chair has a Nut missing on the Bolt, just needed to make sure the bolt was in the hole as we used these most evenings. Everything else was found to be above standards and we enjoyed our stay. The games in the footstools were a surprise to find and the grandkids used them a few times.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. We have reported the issues raised to our maintenance team so thank you for making us aware! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage very well equipped and fabulous location."

Gorgeous views. Comfortable. A little tricky to find as we hadn’t realised it was tucked back down its own drive (and didn’t look as blue as in the photos). Like many holiday cottages, no curtains and the blinds barely block out any light so it’s lucky we always take extra blackouts with us. We loved the rabbits on the front lawn!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cottage, and that it suited your needs. Thank you for your comments, all feedback is shared with the owner - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Just waiting to receive our deposit back in full as we cleaned it very thoroughly.

  • "Very comfortable stay at Hillview."

Marvellous beach for families. Our grandchildren loved the rock pools and sea. However very expensive take away food and long queues due to the huge number of visitors. Also find having to put recycling in the general landfill outrageous due to there not being any provision for recycling collections from holiday homes in North Cornwall.

A spacious kitchen with breakfast bar seating for two guests provides a relaxed space for families to enjoy some holiday cooking, or simply plate up freshly baked pasties from the local bakery in the village, followed by a delectable Cornish cream tea.

Making the most of the beautiful sea view, the master double bedroom boasts a large window to perfectly frame the local coastline, as well as nautical décor, whilst a further bunk room and twin bedroom provide a peaceful oasis where guests can relax and unwind, following a day exploring Polzeath.

The contemporary family bathroom features both a bath and shower, so you can rinse off sand and salt before soaking tired limbs - bubbles at the ready. Head outside and enjoy the use of the terrace and sloping garden, where you can revel in the fresh sea breeze and play fun-filled garden games.

If you’re a keen cyclist or you’re hoping to catch a wave whilst on holiday, the garage can be used to store away your beach supplies and more, and it also boasts a washing machine.

Cycle or enjoy a five-minute downhill stroll to Polzeath beach, a popular surfing spot where you can also find cafés, restaurants, a beach shop, bakery and more.

To discover the nearby North Cornwall coastline, travel slightly further afield to Rock, either by car or via a 3.5 mile hike along the South West Coast Path which boasts beautiful views over the Camel Estuary.
