  • "The property is stunning: it was perfect for our family, lots of space to have your own space as well as having a large social space."

Idea to walk to the beach. We had a problem with the dining chairs, legs falling off, the maintence team took 2 of the chairs away to repair, unfortunately they didnt return them. Overall all though, a great and enjoyable house for a large family.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are so pleased to hear that The Beach Hut suited you and your family's needs, and that you all enjoyed your stay. However, we are sorry that you encountered this maintenance issue which we were unable to resolve during your time at the property. We hope to welcome you back again in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Great location but would not stay in the property again - Cleanliness was very poor."

Disappointing that upon arrival there were no basics such as loo roll (I wouldn’t expect this to be provided for the entire stay but some would have been nice!) The window in the master bedroom wouldn’t close so the bedroom was freezing cold at night. The shower controls constantly came off the walls - Not great when you are bathing a new born baby and it nearly falls on their head. Mattress in the downstairs bedroom is incredibly uncomfortable. Paint in the bathrooms is flaking off all of the walls and the skirting is warped/mouldy and coming off the walls. Garden is very unloved and wouldn’t be somewhere pleasant to sit and eat outside.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Lovely house in a great location with free-off street parking near the beach."

I’d assumed this had a sea view based on the pictures and location but, alas not. Given the price, the outside space could also do with some attention - it’s bare, could do with a clean and maybe some new furniture. It doesn’t provide a particularly welcoming environment or one where you’d want to spend much time, but otherwise the house is great.

Thank you so much for your comments. We love hearing just how much you enjoyed your stay! Hopefully we can welcome you back anytime in the future. • "Property was fine but service from John Bray was poor."

It would have been nice to have had a cream tea upon arrival as is provided by most holiday cottages. The key safe was very hard to find and better instructions are needed. A phone call to John Bray was not answered similarly an email asking for assistance remains unanswered. Finally you need to provide information about what to do with glass recycling. When people are on holiday they like a glass of wine and having now way of recycling or disposing of bottles is poor for the guests and the environment.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit. As self catering properties it will depend on each respective owner if there are starter provisions. We have not had issues with guests struggling to find the keysafe or the recycling instructions before so this comes as a surprise to us but we will review the instructions we leave. We hope we can welcome you back to north Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Latitude 50 do this and are generous with what they leave. Responding to messages woukd have been polite which you didn't do to a voice message I left when we arrived.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We offer self catering holidays so these type of items are not left for our guests. We are afraid we did not receive a voice message. • "Really good holiday accommodation, but rather expensive compared to some other properties."

Only minor complaint: the tumble dryer is very inefficient, other wise everything was perfect.

Many thanks for your feedback on the property The Beach Hut. We are delighted to hear you had a lovely holiday. We appreciate you bring to our attention about the tumble dryer, we will look into this promptly. We hope to invite you back to North Cornwall very soon. • "Loved the property."

Had everything you could wish for. Will be back. For some reason I thought there was a bedroom on living room level. I couldn’t shut a bedroom window and panicked, but you were v helpful. Maybe point out there’s a button to press to close it. Also, it wasn’t clear to go up the stairs from the car park to the rear of the property, so I’d update those details to stop people bothering you.

  • "We accessed the property about 40 mins after the time we were supposed to as the cleaners were still there."

I thought this might be a good thing as it would ensure it would be nice and clean. There had clearly been a guest with a pet and there was animal hair EVERYWHERE. We stayed for 2 weeks and swept daily and the hair was still coming up. That was disappointing. The stairway the way you enter the property is the first impression of the house. The carpet is very worn and dirty - I don't think it reflects the rest of the property at all and must admit, I was a little concerned until I got upstairs to the main living area and saw how nice it was. I would recommend the owners consider an investment to improve. The chairs at the table were very cheap and the back legs were damaged on many of them - splayed out, giving a very unsteady feeling when sitting at the table. There were fairy lights on the balcony which did not work - they are very old and rusted and seem like they haven't worked for some time - consider removing ? The communal area at the property is clearly not maintained by anyone. It's hugely overgrown with weeds which block the walkways through to various properties. We had to break down 2 enormous weeds to get through to the Beach Hut - that seems a shame given the properties that are holiday lets are clearly fully booked. Consider a small investment to have that area maintained ? On a more positive note - we had a broken blind which was reported and fixed within 24 hours. We also had a broken catch on the oven door which was also reported and fixed while we were there. I found all John Bray staff to be pleasant, helpful and professional in my interactions.

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on your stay. We are so sorry for the inconvenience and frustration caused by these issues but thank you for bringing them to our attention, as a result of your comments the property is now undergoing renovations such as new carpets and dining chairs. We hope you still managed to enjoy your stay despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner.
