  • "The property was clean and as we have stayed at this building before , although not at this property !"

We had to smile at the unusual lighting in the bedrooms not a criticism just unusual , and the colour scheme . Negatives , nothing to do with the property although we had to hunt for the paperwork to use the oven , paperwork now in cuboard above fridge , some mould in the bathroom near to the floor ? .we also had a maintance engineer working on apartment above which meant quite a lot on noise at times , however I would recommend this property as it is generally clean and perfect for a holiday stay !

Thank you for your feedback, we have never had a comment on the lighting and colour scheme so it was a surprise to see your thoughts but we appreciate that everyone has their own tastes. The owner is looking into the mould issue asap so thankyou for bringing this to our attention. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. • "Had a really lovely time staying in westward 8 and everything met standards however there where a few little things we think would improve the stay there."

We only had one toilet roll, so had to go and buy more. The sofa was slightly annoying as the cushions would never stay on the bottom, they would just slide off as soon as you sat down so maybe so velcro would be a good idea on the bottom of the cushions . And we were also expecting abit more of a sea view so maybe mention that the windows don’t face the sea. Also the lights in the bedrooms where great for lighting however they where I but low for taller people as my fiancé kept hitting his head on them.so maybe adjusting them slightly would help prevent and broken lights x

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We are pleased to hear that everything met your standards at the property. We appreciate the comments that you have made about the property and will look into seeing if any of the items can be improved for future bookings. We hope to be able to welcome you back to North Cornwall again. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We had a good week with beautiful weather."

Polzeath by the sea was beautiful and there is a lovely circular walk along the coast with a stop for coffee on the way back which we enjoyed . The apartment was very comfortable and well furnished with high quality furnishings . It was near the centre down a very steep hill which was easy going down but difficult coming up so not for anyone who finds walking difficult although you could park half way down if necessary. In Polzeath there are a few cafe/ restaurants but we found all of them full even before we went and couldn’t book anything even in September. Most were full until the end of September which spoilt our holiday as we enjoy good food and were limited to take away fish and chip or pizza takeaways or The Oystercatcher was sometime available which was pub grub. We could drive inland to try and find a restaurant but the roads are very tiny and hard work at night in the dark . I think the apartment lacked an outside space to sit in but we knew that when we booked. Next time an outside space would be a must and somewhere with more available places to eat and drink and without a steep hill would be good. The apartment itself was a great place to sleep and beautifully furnished.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay at Westward 8 and found it to be the perfect base to explore the local area from. Polzeath is home to some lovely eateries and such a shame that you were unable to experience them, due to covid restrictions and staff shortages a lot of the restaurants were booked up well in advance. Hopefully in the future if you are to return to the area you will get the opportunity to try out the relevant restaurants. The apartment does have a small amount of communal outside space but regrettably doesn't have any private space. We hope to be able to welcome you back to North Cornwall - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment and great location in Polzeath."

Only downside was lack of private outside space to use (there is quite a bit of communal space but no where to sit other than a low wall). We made use of the beach and various lovely walks with amazing views. Try walking from Daymer to Rock when the tide is out or if you like running you can run along the coastal path to Rock. Oystercatcher pub is very close for beers on the terrace.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay at Westward 8 and found it to be the perfect base to explore the local area from.
