  • "We had a great holiday in Mowzel and in chapel Place."

Parking is right at the door and my estate car fitted in the space no problem. Just a small space, but worth its weight in gold in Mousehole. Did not use garden, as it was too cold in November. Used woodburner, took logs and kindling with us, but Tesco petrol station in Penzance sells these. Great cottage for access to Tremenheere and the Cape. St just was great. We visited St Ives, 30 mins away, but wouldn’t bother again….Very very steep hills. The no.1 deli is fab in Mousehole, just round the bend from The Ship. We had amazing and delicious meals on the front, both at no.1 and also in Deli Kitchen. In fact the food all week has been incredible. Back to the cottage. The downstairs shower room, I’d off the sitting room, so we only used the downstairs loo. Upstairs there was a Hypnos mattress. With a white company quilt in the main bedroom. Although the bed is smaller than were used to, a 5’ double we both slept through each night. I loved the small en-suite. However, I’m 5’ and a sized 10. My husband could not fit in there. The main shower room, which services the other 2 bedrooms was his to use. So in all 2 doubles, one twin. One en-suite and 2 shower rooms, it’s like the tardis! The kitchen/diner was small, but perfectly fitted out. Everything we needed was there for leisure’s breakfasts, whilst we planned our day. Dishwasher, great microwave, oven and a washer (did not use washing machine). We took our own dishwasher tabs, but some were provided. Plenty of loo rolls too! We’ve stayed in some cottages, where the basics were not there whem]n we arrived, but in 2 chapel place…tea/coffee/milk, biscuits and plenty of loo rolls/fairy liquid and dishwasher tabs. We had a great holiday in Mousehole and were lucky to be there on bonfire night. The fireworks over the harbour were spectacular and I will never forget that feeling of being joyful and reminiscent of childhood days, just magical. People with sparklers in the beach, gathered round harbour wall to watch 30 mins of oooohhh’s and aaaarrrgh’s. Soon be Christmas lights and I only wish we were heading back to chapel place for what would be another memorable holiday. Thank you to the owners of Chapel Place, it was lovely and you’ve got a really nice home in Mousehole. The only thing that would be nice…A Radio in the kitchen.

We love everything about this cottage and such a bonus to have a parking space. We will be back next year!

  • "We have stayed at Chapel Place many times before when it was with a different owner so holds lots of precious memories."

We haven’t been for a few years, still love the space and parking but feel the cottage is in need of some TLC. The window frame in the main bedroom, the one with the en-suite, needs a good clean. The garden is a big plus and location is perfect. Would highly recommend a family to stay here.

  • "Wonderful location in Mousehole with parking which is rare (small/medium sized car) Lovely old cottage updated with all the facilities you require especially a downstairs toilet handy for those who struggle up the stairs and an outside courtyard to enjoy a meal outside when the weather is good."

Easy walk to the harbour. If you don’t mind not having a see view then this cottage is perfect.

  • "Loved it. Perfect for five of us and dog."

Parking space was a bonus! Nicely presented and we found everything we needed easily. Lashings of hot water. The only thing to pass on to the owners was that the extractor fan/light above induction hob didn't work and needs fixing.

Listing was spot on - and the provision of tea, coffee and milk etc was very welcome. The house was clean, well located and comfortable. Mousehole was lovely, nice pubs and restaurants to eat in. A great stay, thank you for having us.

  • "The cottage was really nice, clean & beautifully furnished & kitted out."

Lovely sun trap garden & bonus parking space. Nice not to be right on the seafront, occupies a very quiet & picturesque location. Great walks from the doorstep & walking distance of the fab Ship Inn, Old Coastguard & No 2 fish restaurant. We had brilliant sunny weather over our 4 day stay. Definitely want to return. Thanks for a great stay!

Central in the lovely Mousehole and perfectly quiet and relaxing. We would definitely return. 5 minute walk to The Ship Inn, a friendly pub, fabulous food and pleasant staff.

  • "Location was beautiful."

Accommodation was clean & tidy. It offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. However the en-suite isn’t really fit for purpose for anyone taller than 4’8” In close proximity to watering holes, cafes and Deli’s.

  • "All in all a lovely cottage , I found the facilities and cleanliness fantastic every need was catered for ."

Mousehole itself is a lovely little village although quite awkward to navigate definitely worth visiting . The only reason I marked down in the rating was due to my liking for soft mattresses of which I realise is not to everyone’s taste so can’t be altered , also a couple of cosmetic damages to the house and furnishings but nothing major or anything hat you wouldn’t expect from a holiday rental . Would recommend to anyone with a family ( including dogs ) or people looking for a quiet holiday in a picturesque place with a good standard of accommodation .
