  • "The location worked well for us, 10 minute walk from the train station and down the hill to Copperhouse Pool and shops."

Most of the facilities/equipment were fine. Like other Reviewers we'd have appreciated an additional comfy seat in the lounge. Also an occasional table for the settee area. Main concern was the dangerous toilet seats! All three were loose and slid side to side. Your Cleaner MUST have known about this so it was totally irresponsible to allow guests in to use the property with them like that, resulting in a finger injury to my right hand, and lucky you that no more serious injuries resulted, especially with an 80 year old in our party. To your credit, the seats were rectified the following day, but only after the stress of my having to contact you, through your emergency number....and an email. It is also a fact that by the time guests have occupied the properties you manage, often on a Friday, and discovered problems, your office is closed....for the weekend! It was a nice touch to find various spices & condiments in the kitchen cupboard & the makings for a cream tea. Nice.

Hi, Many thanks for the feedback and apologies for the unfortunate accident, rest assured this has been fedback to the housekeeping team as well so this would be looked at in future cleans. Regarding seating it has now been added in my recent visit to the property along with garden furniture for 4. A few more little things are planned over the winter to maintain and refresh the property. Again apologies for not being able to keep as close monitoring to the property as I wish because I'm hours away but please be assured like your experience the emergency team are on hand if any things need fixing. • "The property is well placed to explore this part of Cornwall It was very clean inside with ample amounts of toilet rolls and towels provided but sadly a large amount of dog poo had to be picked up from the garden The scones and tea bags were a lovely touch The living room would benefit from another armchair and a bistro set on the patio would be lovely as the garden is very private All in all a good stay !"

thanks for your feedback, I'll make sure the response is passed onto the maintainence team about the dog poo. Unfortunately I would imagine that's from other guest's pets and it should've been cleaned up by the pet owners although I would make this aware to the maintainence people. More seating and garden furniture are in the plans to be added over this coming winter so we look forward to your return next time! Property Owner

  • "The holiday property was clean, practical and in a good location for exploring Cornwall."

It could be improved with a rug and coffee table in the lounge area and a few pictures on the walls. The garden was a little unkept and would benefit from a few plants. However, overall it suited our needs very well. The milk, tea and Cornish Fairings were much appreciated.

  • "Property was located in a very convenient position for all pubs and shops, leas than an 8 minute walk."

Also very convenient short walk to railway station. House was very clean on entry, beds very comfy. Good showers in bathrooms. House was pretty well equipped but would benefit from a washing line in garden. Description stated garden furniture but only 2 foldaway camping chairs. Has full size dishwashers but more needed as need to put dishwasher on half full. Also a coffee table/ side table would be beneficial. Tea, coffee, biscuits, milk dishwashers tablets, tea towels etc were good. Would have preferred a blind on kitchen window for added privacy. All in all a good property in an excellent position.

Hi Alison, Many thanks for your feedback! I'm glad that you had a comfy stay at ours. Apologies for the lack of bits that you mentioned in the feedback. I've got plans to add some more bits to the property over this winter, which would definitely include more garden furnitures and some more indoor seating, the blind for the kitchen window is also on the list to be done as well. I hope it was still a good experience and look forward to you staying with us again in the future! Property Owner

  • "The cleanliness of the cottage was amazing."

May I suggest a few additions that would have made our stay just a little bit more special and easier after a long day visiting the surrounding areas. Garden furniture for sitting outside to enjoy breakfast in the sun at the end of the day. More cutlery. Extra knives for buttering bread for example. A better setup of furniture in the living room maybe an easy chair so four adults could have sat comfortably chatting about the days adventures. Small things, but these things do make a difference to staying in cottage. Having said all that, with these few changes, we would have no problem recommending this cottage.

Hi Chirs! Thanks for your feedback! The extra seating and a few other bits are on the list to be done over this coming winter, I agree with your saying that it's the little things that makes a difference after a great day. Love the little recommendations from you and I hope you will come back to stay with us in the coming years! Property Owner

About the location

HAYLE

St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.

Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters, and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafés where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries, or admire the colourful sub-tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Eden Project, St. Michael’s Mount and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
