  • "The cottage had all the facilities you could need."

Kitchen utensils pans trays, towels, hangers etc Was in a quiet but pleasant location. Some nice touches such as welcome pack. The thing that was our biggest concern and let down was that the cottage felt damp. When you walked in each day after being out -it smelt and felt damp. Our bedding in the main bedroom was damp and I had to tumble dry it a couple of times as wasn’t comfortable getting into bed with it feeling that way. We aired the second bedroom bedding each day also rather than make the bed to try and help this room also. We do appreciate it is an old cottage ( and have previously lived in an old cottage ourselves ) but it isn’t acceptable for us to have to wash all of our clothes when we arrive back home due to the smell and feel of them after them being in the cottage. My husband and son have asthma, so we tried to spend as much time out of the cottage as possible to avoid this affecting them. Would definitely recommend someone checks this out and quite importantly remedies this issue for other guests. Unfortunately we would not recommend this cottage.

.we unable to locate the normal channels on the tv until you signed in to digital TV .when we did do some cooking there was . no baking tray or pizza cutter.. the local pub was great.. it was just a shame we didn’t have great weather.

  • "We.as a couple found Pendeen to be a lovely area."

The locals were very friendly and we had some great evenings in the local pub which served some amazing food. Having said this we found Blue Reef Cottage very disappointing. The moment we entered the cottage all we could smell was soot,in fact if the doors were closed it would get to the back of your throat. The staircase was positively dangerous having to go up and down on your hands and knees which is not what you expect in this day and age. Pendeen was a perfect base to explore Cornwall but I would avoid this cottage again

We found it a great location to use for exploring the area. It was quite and a 20 minute drive in any direction lead to all sorts of adventures. Thanks a million for letting us stay with you!

  • "The view from the kitchen window and back garden are beautiful and the cottage is handy for the local shop, pub and bus stops."

Sadly the chip shop and tapas restaurant have closed which was disappointing. The cottage is cozy and clean and a slight problem we had on arrival was speedily sorted by the delightful Tessa along with the handyman. We did find the stairs a challenge as the head height is very low, and the downstairs bathroom is not ideal, but of course we knew this when we booked . Sadly we didn’t have the best weather but the wood burning stove was great and kept us warm. I would have liked a little more in the way of reading lamps, books, throws, and maybe a small radio for the kitchen but overall the cottage was very well equipped with beautiful towels, bedding, kitchen wear etc. The complimentary wine, toiletries etc was a lovely touch and very much appreciated.

  • "This was a great holiday location base for us in Cornwall."

The property was comfortable, clean, and had great facilities. Only two small recommendations - the shower/shower head is not very powerful, our suggestion would be to look if anything could be changed/improved? Also the written text about the rubbish bin collections - the day seems to be incorrect. I think it said Wednesday night, and we did put everything out, but it didn't get picked up. But I do think I heard the rubbish men coming very early on Monday morning?

  • "Delightful cottage."

Superb views and location. Very clean and lots of information posters. Only two things would have improved our stay. Very minor details and possible we may have missed these items. 1. I would have appreciated a hairdryer in the cottage. 2. I couldn’t find any instructions on how to use the television . Overall an excellent cottage with every facility within walking distance I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

We felt extremely welcome. The only possible improvements would be a larger teapot and an electric towel rail in the bathroom so that we didn't need to run the central heating just to dry towels. A fantastic location for walking the coastal path. We'd be more than happy to return. Thank you!

The location is fantastic for us to explore Penwith and a couple of great places to eat within walking distance (North Inn, Trewellard Arms). Internet is good too and parkinv right outside . Beautiful area. We had a wonderful family holiday with our toddler. We recommend to visit St.Ives, Sennen Coves/Land's end, Polperro, Looe,... and also to go to the lighthouse in Pendeen, there's a nice walk from the cottage till the lighthouse. Also great pubs in Pendeen, lovely town. Cornwall is really beautiful. We recommend both the cottage and the area. Just take care with the low roof in the stairs that go upstairs :) The fireplace is lovely. The kitchen is perfect.
