"32 Trevithick is a superbly presented rental cottage, with everything supplied to make your stay thoroughly enjoyable."
General décor is very good and the lighting offers many differing schemes that cover everything you might need. Furniture and beds in 32 are really comfortable, and the under floor heating adds that special touch when you get up in the morning and take a shower, but equally keeps the ambient temperature just right. All of the essentials elements, the hob, the oven, the washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, bathing and showering facilities are like new and kept spotless by the owners and cleaning staff. Lots of wardrobes and drawer space lets you space out your clothes across all three bedrooms. Bathrooms are light, airy and well maintained, with an upstairs bath/toilet, whilst the downstairs bathroom has a really lovely shower room and toilet. Externally, the décor at 32 is kept to a high standard and offers chairs to sit outside at the front, and picnic style benches to the rear. The grassy area's are kept neat and tidy which adds to the overall look and appeal at the complex. The owner/s are attentive to any issues and are really lovely... nothing seems too much trouble. 32 Trevithick was a rare find, and can be summed up as a fantastic place to spend R&R time, whilst exploring Cornwall, or for just chilling and letting the world go by. A BIG Thank You to Gareth and Family!

The property
Situated on Tolroy Manor Holiday Park, in the hillside just above Hayle, in west Cornwall, is this charming lodge, 32 Trevithick.
Surrounded by nature and wildlife and offering access to a plethora of on-site facilities, 32 Trevithick is a fantastic base for a family or group wanting to enjoy a coastal getaway in Cornwall, within easy reach of St Ives Bay and north Cornwall's Atlantic coast.
Enter this contemporary, stylish property into an open-plan living room, with oak flooring and underfloor heating, with the sitting room offering a large, L-shaped, reclining sofa, big enough to seat the whole group, where you can enjoy a movie night on the Smart TV beside the warming electric fire.
The dining area has a dining table that can seat up to eight, in front of the patio doors, which open up onto the garden area, and offers an ideal spot for enjoying meals together, prepared in the newly fitted kitchen, equipped with all the appliances you could need to prepare delicious home-cooked meals.
There is a tiled, ground-floor shower room with cosy underfloor heating and towel rail, while up the glass-framed staircase, the family bathroom with partial wood panelling, a bath with handheld shower and a heated towel rail can be found.
The three bedrooms are on the first floor; a master king-size double, which has French doors onto a private balcony, along with a flatscreen TV and wardrobes for clothes storage, a double room and a triple room with a set of bunk beds and a single bed, which would be an ideal space for younger guests.
Outside there is off-road parking available, a patio area to the rear with picnic benches, where you can enjoy an alfresco lunch, along with a patio area at the front with outdoor furniture, where you can bask in sunshine.
There are many on-site facilities you can take advantage of, with an outdoor and indoor pool, a squash/tennis court and a bar/restaurant, as well as an RSPB estuary flowing close by, which you can enjoy scenic strolls along and observe fascinating wildlife.
The centre of Hayle is less than a mile from the property, where the estuary flows into St Ives Bay, which offers a two-mile stretch of sandy beach at The Towans, which ends at Godrevy Point, where you will find the lighthouse that stands alone on an island out to sea, as well as Gwithian Beach, which is popular with surfers, while surfing and kayak lessons are available locally, should you wish to brush up on your skills.
Hayle is a walker's paradise, with 'walkers are welcome' status and a plethora of footpaths and trails to follow, as well as attractions to visit like the heritage centre and Paradise Park and Jungle Barn Cornwall, a family-friendly day out where you'll see a variety of birds and animals, as well as offering a children's play area, where the little ones can let off some steam.
St Ives is further along the coast, where you can admire art galleries, sub-tropical gardens, museums and an idyllic harbour, providing boat trips to Seal Island, to observe the seal colonies, as well as trying your hand at mackerel fishing.
Hayle is well-positioned for exploring a wide area of Cornwall with ease, and attractions such as the Minack Theatre, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Eden Project and St. Michael’s Mount are all a short drive away.
32 Trevithick is a fantastic base for a seaside escape in Cornwall with your loved ones.
Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
Where you’ll be staying
HAYLE
St Ives 6.3 miles; Penzance 7.4 miles.
Hayle is in the far-flung south western corner of Cornwall and sits on an important RSPB wildlife estuary flowing out to the beautiful St Ives Bay, where visitors can enjoy three miles of golden sandy beaches, walks, history and wildlife. Hayle has plenty of activities out of the water too; Paradise Park is a wildlife park, home to some spectacular parrots, otters, and red pandas. Hayle has a range of shops, restaurants and bars scattered around the estuary and harbour area. There are skittles and karting for the family, and for golfers, one of the best links golf courses in Cornwall is at Lelant, a mile out of Hayle. But the jewel of Hayle is the three miles of golden sandy beach, with fantastic surfing at Gwithian where there is a surf shop, lessons and hire of equipment. For the less energetic there are beach cafés where you can take in the views and watch the children play. As Hayle is centrally located you can easily access many other places by either public transport (there is a train station at Hayle) or driving. St. Ives is a short drive away where you can wander through the narrow streets, visit the art galleries, or admire the colourful sub-tropical gardens. St Ives harbour has its own small fishing fleet and there are plentiful boat trips skippered by locals keen to showcase the best that Cornwall has to offer, whether it be seal watching at Seal Island, a couple of hours' mackerel fishing or a relaxing trip to Godrevy Lighthouse. Within easy reach of Hayle is the Minack Theatre, Falmouth Maritime Museum, Eden Project, St. Michael’s Mount and many other fantastic tourist attractions for dry or wet days.
