  • "Great facilities especially for families."

Very spacious with everything you need. The building, however could do with a bit of tlc and cleaning could be improved. We had a great stay and would stay again. Addressed the points with owners who were very receptive and will strive to improve.

Great to talk with you about your stay - and thank you for the pictures. Glad you enjoyed your visit, despite the issues we discussed. While it has been a long season and a thorough refresh is due, you should not have the cleaning issues. Many thanks for your comments - definitely helps our way forward. Best regards Peter Property Owner

  • "We all had a fantastic time."

The cottage was great a bit of work needed, but we would definitely stay again. Some of the neighbours were extremely loud, which wore thin when it kept going until late in the night. The facilities were great, the pool and pub get a huge thumbs up.

Glad you enjoyed your visit - despite the neighbours! After a long season the cottage does indeed need refurbishment. Your comments will push us on our way - thank you. Hope you come to stay again. Best regards Peter Property Owner

  • "The chest of drawers in one of the first floor bedrooms wouldn’t open and the knobs were loose."

The bolt to lock the bathroom door was broken. In the main loft room there was the front off of one drawer, the knob off of another, filthy carpets, a pair of someone’s pants clearly visible next to a set of drawers, someone’s makeup next to the dresser, and some packaging from someone’s poncho under the foldout bed. That to me says the most that was done in that room was the bedding was changed (hopefully). Generally cleanliness was pretty non existent and disappointing. There were cobwebs everywhere that clearly had been there for quite some time. We stayed in this cottage last year and we didn't experience this. I would say this needs addressing fast... cleaners have let you down massively.

Dear Michelle I am so sorry for your experience this year. Thank you for telling us about it. We will certainly take up with our cleaning contractor. I do hope you had a good holiday apart from these issues. Best wishes Peter Property Owner

PENZANCE

St Ives 8 miles. Helicopter to Isles of Scilly - 30 minutes

Penzance hosts Golowan, the Midsummer Carnival, and The Literary Festival. There are also The Exchange, Newlyn and Penlee Art Galleries. One of Cornwall’s most popular holiday areas is the spectacular sweep of Mount’s Bay, from the cliffside fishing village of Mousehole through Penzance and around to beautiful Marazion, the coastline hides a wealth of sandy beaches, rocky coves as well as winding village streets and other places to visit and explore. Connected by a causeway to the shore at Marazion is the National Trust’s stunningly beautiful St Michael’s Mount with its hilltop castle and Mediterranean gardens. Walk across at low water and take one of the ferry boats back when the tide is up. Penzance with its winding streets, shops, clubs, restaurants and harbour is a must as it is the jumping-off point for day trips to the Isles of Scilly as well as being the harbor. The South West Coast Path passing through Penzance winds its way along the clifftops towards Land’s End. On the way, stop off for a coffee and a rest at beautiful Lamorna Cove, explore the open air Minack Theatre and marvel at the cliffs as you approach Gwennap Head. A stunning walk for those seeking solitude, exercise and some of the UK’s best coastal scenery. Penzance is the perfect holiday base. Ideally placed for exploring this land of Celtic myth and legend and with enough to do and see in the immediate area to keep all the family occupied.
