Honestly can't find a fault with any of it. Comfy bed, nice shower, good kitchen comfy lounge area. A beautiful view of both the sea and surrounding countryside from the seating area on the veranda. Meticulously clean on arrival not just the bits you see, attention to detail the little things. We were even greeted with a cream tea for two and a keepsake for our holiday. Truly a little gem.

The hideaway is both modern and warm with plenty of utensils, a powerful shower and everything you need for a holiday stay. We had a very relaxing and lovely stay and enjoyed breakfast on the terrace each morning with far reaching views of fields. We appreciated the scones, cream and biscuits on arrival and the gift tea towel. If you are tall you might want a slightly longer bath towel. A good location - close to a park and ride to get into Newquay or just travelling by car. Overall, I highly recommend the hideaway as a place to stay - we had a great time and wanted to stay longer!

The property is extremely clean, beautifully furnished and well kitted out. It is in a quiet location with views over the surrounding countryside towards the sea. Whilst the property is compact there is still plenty of room for a couple and the decked area with a table and chairs is a beautiful location to sit and relax. The gifts of a cream tea, biscuits, tea towel and handwritten card were a pleasant surprise and were really appreciated. Thank you Andrea and Dave for a wonderful week at the little hideaway.

We have stayed at the owner's other property before so we knew we were expecting quality. The welcome gift of cream teas, a Cornish tea towel and a hand written welcome card was just the start. The property was compact and bijou but very well appointed. It was perfectly clean and very well maintained. The furniture was clean and comfortable as was the bedroom. The toilet and shower room was spotless. Faultless! All in all The Little Hideaway is the perfect cottage and Andrea is the perfect host. We enjoyed a perfect holiday made possible, in no small part, by The Little Hideaway.

The bedding and towels were so fresh and clean I meant to ask what detergent they used! The welcome gifts were so appreciated and Andrea in particular was such a kind host, giving local recommendations. As a single traveller I felt comfortable but also safe here, and it was centrally located for most of Cornwall's main attractions. The deck catches the evening sun so is a lovely spot for a pre-dinner drink after a long day. The only potential downside would be the sloping ceilings if you are fairly tall, especially in the bedroom but wasn't an issue for me!

Perfect location for getting out and about with Newquay nearby. The property was very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Perfect for a couple who wanted a peaceful holiday. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk all provided (which was great as we’d forgotten to pack that). Complimentary cream tea on arrival. Comfy bed, nice shower. The only problem was that we couldn’t get the wifi to work, even after asking. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Andrea and Dave!

The owners live onsite and are caring and helpful, but unobtrusive. There is parking directly outside and a wonderful private decked area to relax on, with beautiful views. The location is an excellent base for exploring the area. My husband walked 84 miles of the South West Coast path which is close by. I would note that the property may not be suitable for those with severe back problems, as there is restricted height in some areas, however, it gets 10/10 from us.

  • "The photographs do not indicate the small size of the flat."

Anyone over 4.5 foot tall will bang their head in the premises. The sloping ceilings reduce the effective size of the rooms. I am 6 foot and could not get close enough to the kitchen sink to wash up. To do this I needed to twist my body so my head fitted into the roof light well. The same situation exists in the WC. I had to sit on the toilet to pee because of the slope of the roof. The bathroom sloping ceiling means the shower is almost un-usable. the shower curtain does nothing to stop the water soaking the floor. There are no views from the premises via windows only roof lights. Good for me on tip toe but no good for my wife. There is no patio garden! there are 2 rusty chairs at the top of the stairs with not enough room to use them and some pot plants on the roof of the adjacent building. The alleged patio area is in shade and breezy in the evening. We felt uncomfortable because the flat overlooks the owners pool and hot tub. The owner uses the ground floor as a workshop and starts DIY at 08:00 which was a rude awakening at the time. All in all not up to the standard we have come to expect from your description and definitely not worth the money paid. We will not use this premises again and will look a lot more closely at your descriptions before booking. I suggest you send a representative along to check out the premises and experience it before writing another description.

The only minor niggle, and it is minor, is that slightly more comfort in the sitting area of the kitchen diner would be good. The couch provided was adequate but not the most comfortable for long term evening relaxation of tv viewing .A pouffe to put ones feet up may have tipped the balance .However overall the accommodatione was very pleasing and we would definitely go again. The owners /hosts were very friendly and gave us a very warm welcome and were also very helpful beyond the call of duty during our stay.We would however recommend that they invest in a visitors book because I’m sure it would provide them with a history of pleasing comments.
