Ideal location; very quiet rural area with reasonable nearby access to Godrevy and Gwithian beaches, very comfortable (particularly needed this year when storm Betty thundered through!) and delightful and welcoming hosts; not forgetting Bobby, the Eurasian-eagle owl! Highly recommend and hoping to return next year.

Thank you! It’s our pleasure to host you.! Kind regards Belinda & Alan Property Owner

Alan and Belinda were so friendly and welcoming and the fresh flowers and cream tea were a lovely surprise! The Roost is well placed to visit all of southern Cornwall and there was lots of useful info provided for places to visit and eating out. It was a nice comfortable base to return to after a day out and we enjoyed relaxing on the terrace in the evenings. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely holiday cottage definitely 5*. On arrival a Cornish cream tea was waiting for us with beautiful roses and homemade jam. Our hosts were so nice and helpful. • "Always slightly pot luck when booking a holiday cottage."

Are the pictures current? Is it really a quiet spot? Is it a good base for exploring the area? In this case the answers are all yes. We visited the north and south coasts and Lands End easily and enjoyed our journeys. If you're not a National Trust member it may be worth joining especially if you enjoy visiting gardens. We were also happy that the owners were always available to answer questions but never knocking on the door, perfect. Finally if we were to visit the area again we would happily stay here again and thoroughly recommend The Roost to anyone looking to holiday in Cornwall.
