  • "This is the second time I've stayed here and I really enjoyed the tranquility again."

The house was immaculately clean when I arrived and it has everything I need for a lovely relaxing stay near the coast. The house up the road has even just opened up a little cafe so you can hang out there and meet people too!

  • "Lovely well kept cottage and suitable for 3 or 4 people."

We'll equipped with good size fridge freezer for a week but no cupboard space for storage of dry goods such at cereals, sugar, coffee, biscuits, pasta or sauces etc. First thing we did was clear a shelf of glass bowls to store these items. Also found the double bed mattress a little uncomfortable as it was so different our own at home and took some getting used too. Other that loved the modern presentation of an old cottage. Thank you.

Thankyou for your comments which we will endeavour to address going forward. We are very glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was perfect."

It had everything you need to enjoy a peaceful week in Cornwall. With the beach a short (yet steep) walk away, it easy to enjoy and never crowded. The garden was bathed in sun until late evening. Loved hearing about the history of the house and the link to its owners. Thank you and we hope to stay again.

  • "Had a lovely holiday at Rose Cottage, it was quiet, comfortable and clean with a garden and parking space which is a bonus, we loved it."

For walkers it is in an ideal spot for the National Trust coastal walks. You do need a car, for shopping and getting out and about down the narrow lanes. Thank you for a great holiday.

Very clean and tidy and attention to detail.

  • "Rose Cottage is practically faultless."

Only very minor gripes is the heating system, in which the radiators come on at night making you hot. The fire in the front room does a very good job, however. There is limited storage for food also, but the kitchen facilities are excellent. - but note, no tumble drier or dishwasher. Apart from the above, the cottage was brilliant! Very clean and welcoming! Happy to recommend to anyone.

  • "A pleasant and comfortable little cottage."

Ideal to use as a base for travelling around the south Cornish coast. Lansallos beach is worth walking to, with the walk down being scenic and beautiful. Just bear in mind that being a small property, there is limited kitchen cupboard space for storing food. Personally, I would remove some of the inventory to free up a bit more space. But this is nit picking really and just my opinion.

  • "The property was comfortable and clean and a good base to explore the area."

For us it was a little remote and the local beach was quite inaccessible if you have walking difficulties.

  • "Relatively clean and comfortable cottage but I had to clean all the downstairs windows as they were so dirty!"

Only three quarters of one toilet roll was provided and no hand wash in the bathroom. This is not what we have experienced in other Sykes cottages or holiday homes. To be informed of this prior to arrival would have been beneficial. No hairdryer, batteries flat in kitchen wall clock and shower head very mouldy! It’s the little things that make all the difference

Thankyou for your comments. We are sorry that your enjoyment was spoilt because of the points you made. Our window cleaner comes once a month and with the bad weather around that time this may have been the reason the windows were dirty. We have taken on board your comments and will endeavour to make sure they are addressed. Thankyou. Property Owner

Loved the cottage, the garden, the location to the beach and we were super blessed with great weather to top it off! We would absolutely book again! Thank you so much

  • "The cottage is much cozier than the pictures suggest!"

Everything was very clean and well equipped. The narrow road and the thrill of not having a tractor or truck coming your way were totally worth it. The setting is beautiful and the walk to the magnificent bay is romantic.

  • "It was a lovely cottage in a very quiet spot."

Just a little to much of a walk to the very close by beach, (due to the footpath through the woodland) which was a real shame. Didn’t find the chairs very comfortable with one of them beginning to come apart at the joints on the back. Other than this no complaints xx

There were good facilities provided for cooking and we enjoyed the garden space. We liked the included history of the cottages and the local church. There is a quiet beach within reasonable walking distance. The property is as stated - and was a reasonable price for a simple, basic base to stay in.

  • "Hi, we really liked the cottage."

Everything was great. Fantastic location, quiet area, close to the sea, walking distance, that everything what we wanted. Only check out time is a bit to early. 9am when you are on holidays and you don't want to rush, needs to leave the cottage in a good condition that a bit of work... I think 10am will be much more comfortably for guest. Thank you.

  • "We thought that 3 Rose Cottages was a delightful holiday cottage."

The cottage itself was very pretty and cosy with a lovely secluded garden. The walk down to Lansallos cove was achievable and well worth the effort as it is so scenic. We had misread the description and were a bit disappointed that there was no dishwasher. The imposing parish church is literally a few metres down the road, with some very interesting gravestones and local history. With resorts such as Polperro and Looe close by and others such as Lands End and St Michaels Mount within easy distance, we had a really enjoyable week and can recommend 3 Rose Cottages as a peaceful retreat.
