• "The place was full of cobwebs, mummified spider on toaster."

  Rugs full of hair ( not ours). No cleaning products left. Under and behind sofa were full of cobwebs. Just unclean period.

  Hi thank you for feedback I went down to the villa with the cleaner to see what was being said And looked throughout all the rooms and it was in a very clean and tidy condition me and the cleaner were very shock with the comments that were said Autumn is a season when bugs try to get in all property's its something we all have to deal with at home or on hoilday if you had rang me we would have come down straight away and sorted any issues out It wouldn't been a problem it's my pleasure to make your stay a pleasant one Thanks again villa owner Property Owner

• "On arrival we noticed a strong musty smell."

  We opened up the windows to let some fresh air in. A strong musty smell also emanated from the towels, the couch, the bed and the pillows. We called the owner who contacted the cleaner. She came over at 10pm and changed the nylon bedsheets and pillow coverings to cotton ones, but the smell was in the pillows themselves. The next morning she did her best to make us comfortable. She went and purchased new pillows, and new cotton bedding. This made our stay acceptable for the next five days. I would recommend that the owner reviews the condition of the cottage and bring it up to standard. Pillows should have washable pillow protectors. The towels should be supplied by a linnen service. We also own a holiday unit in Broome and that has a 5 star rating.

• "It was at least clean , forget wifi unless you are close to number 34 there is none , forget using the hotel and it facilities as it is closed and has been for a while The pool had just closed as had the club bar , the games room was open but it was a real mess ."

  Now the most worrying part , there was a dehumidifier in the back room this gathered over a pint of water in five days , this room with the bunk bed is where your children will sleep. In short if you have children are asthmatic have COPD. I would avoid ,

  The swimming pool is open 1st May to beginning of September I've made that clear on website and is separate you booked the villa not the hotel Anything from the hotel facilities is free games rooms and tennis court and squash court and wfi I have always advised guest staying in a holiday property to open windows for ventilation some people don't do that .   The villa was spotless and had all that we needed but very disappointed that the hotel was closed and locked abandoned also looked like only about 4 villas out of 50 being used would have liked to see more people about we used it as a base but would have liked the odd meal in the hotel and also a drink in the bar meeting up with other people

  My problem was with Sykes not the villa owner twice I contacted them before arrival to ask about facilities being open especially the hotel restaurant and never contacted with an answer then to arrive and find both bar and restaurant closed was very disappointing

• "A great place from which to explore the north coast of Cornwall."

  Small villa, but with all the necessary facilities. Just a shame the weather wasn't warm enough to enjoy the swimming pool more than just the once.
