  • "We enjoyed our stay and found it relaxing, our hosts Peter and Liz were very welcoming, we found it a little stressful having to keep an eye out for the cock who for no reason would attack!"

for that reason I don't think we will be returning.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Liz and Pete's place for our anniversary week."

The Cabin is cosy, well-equipped and beautifully clean - a real home from home. The location is great for staying locally or exploring the North Coast - we did a bit of both visiting Tintagel and Port Isaac, but also enjoyed relaxing at the Cabin as it is so quiet and peaceful, a fantastic place to relax and unwind. As animal lovers, we throughly enjoyed spending time with the alpacas and helping out with feeding time, watching the chickens' antics (whilst keeping an eye out for the handsome rogue, Douglas the cockrel!) and the company and friendship of Bryn and Mag who greeted us each morning and on our return to the cabin after our days out. Liz and Pete are so lovely and friendly, and our welcome pack of Pete's fresh baked bread (the best bread you'll ever taste!), Cornish butter, milk and bacon, along with eggs from their hens was such a thoughtful gesture. We cannot recommend a stay at The Cabin enough - a little slice of heaven nestled away in the Cornish countryside.

  • "Lovely cabin with everything you need to hand."

Very comfortable. We had a wonderful week relaxing amongst the tranquil surroundings. Peter and Liz - our hosts were lovely. They went above and beyond what one might expect from one’s accommodation. A freshly baked loaf, a pack of Cornish butter, fresh eggs (from their own hens) and some lovely local farm shop bacon. What a treat

  • "If you are looking for peace and quiet in lovely surroundings The Cabin is for you."

However you can help out as much or as little as you like with jobs around the "farm" including feeding the alpacas. There are also two lovely dogs, Bryn and Mag who are always willing to play catch. Peter and Liz were perfect hosts, on hand when needed but not intrusive. The cabin is comfortable with everything you need plus a bit more. The only downside (if there is one) was the narrow road from main road to the property but by the end of the week it does not seem so bad. Good location for seeing the area. We were very lucky with the weather which as usual made all the difference to a very good holiday.

  • "Loved our break in the cabin, all as described on site."

Our hosts, Peter and Liz were very welcoming, gave us a tour of the cabin explaining about water supply and some do's and don't regarding the property. Peter and Liz had left us a fresh baked loaf of bread, some bacon from the local farm shop, eggs from their hens and milk and butter, we have never been to a property where the hosts are so generous with a welcome pack. The cabin was comfortable, a relaxed atmosphere although we only use as a base, out all day. Two very friendly dogs, Mag and Bryn, who welcome you every day, they love a treat, a good fuss and chasing balls. A good location for walkers, and anyone who likes a bit of solitude, apart from Douglas the Cockerell and an owl, it's exceptionally quiet. The alpacas are mesmerising, you could watch them for hours. Would definitely visit again, highly recommended location.

  • "We had a lovely week at the cabin, set in beautiful countryside."

We were met by our fantastic hosts, Peter and Liz, who made us very welcome, as did their dogs, Bryn and Mag who were a joy to have around. They provided us with all the basics for cooking, as well as bacon, eggs, butter and Peter's home made bread. The cabin is in a great location, and very quiet and peaceful. So whether you want to go sightseeing further afield, or just chill out, playing with the dogs and feeding the alpacas, it's a perfect spot. I would definitely recommend the cabin for a quiet escape.

  • "We had a lovely stay at The cabin at Lowley Farm."

The hosts Peter and Liz are lovely and were there to greet us and show us the cabin. Their information folder was full of good places to eat drink and visit. They left us fresh eggs from their lovely hens, Cornish bacon, milk and butter in the fridge for our arrival, which included a home made loaf of bread all of which was greatfully received and consumed for breakfast! The alpacas, boarder collies and chickens were delightful and became our friends for the week we stayed. The cabin itself is very well furnished and spotlessly clean, I would highly recommend this holiday lodge for a romantic stay in the Cornish country side surrounded by local wildlife. Lin and Mark

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Lowley Brook Farm."

Peter and Liz are great hosts. The cabin was spotless and had all the amenities that one would need for a comfortable stay. Peter had baked fresh bread for us and also provided us with their hen's fresh eggs, local fresh milk and Bacon from the local farm shop Tre Pol and Pen. Butter, cooking oil, sugar, coffee and tea as well as assorted fruits were also kept for our consumption. Therefore we did not need to buy anything on arrival. Peter and Liz greeted us on arrival and offered suggestions about local things. We managed to feed the alpacas with Peter which was a unique experience for us. Their dogs Bryn and Magg are very gentle and were very keen to involve us in throwing their ball. What can one say about most majestic Douglas and his harem which he guards diligently . You wake up to his crowing and he is very keen to come to your doorstep to make his presence felt. My wife bribed him with breadcrumbs, he quickly became her devoted fan. Peter uses water from their brook (lowley brook) for everything. The water is filtered to 4 microns and tastes very good indeed. During our stay it rained quite a lot which made the brook water minimally cloudy, but Peter kindly provided us with big bottles of drinking water, much appreciated. In spite of inclement weather we had a good time at Lowley Brook Farm. We would recommend this place for any couple wanting peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Thank you peter and Liz

It was very clean and had everything we needed for our two week stay. It was central to touring around Cornwall, we managed to see a lot of exciting places. Liz and Peter were very welcoming and friendly. We were met with a loaf of bread straight out of the oven, plus bacon and eggs. We got to feed the alpacas and see the newborns, it was really lovely. Their two dogs Mags and Bryn were also very friendly and loved us to play ball with them. They have chickens and a very lively cockerel called Douglas. All in all it was a very happy holiday and we would recommend it to anyone. We hope to holiday with them again very soon

  • "A great week."

We only chose the cabin because of its convenient location for places and people we wanted to see. The added bonus was the lovely animals we could experience such as playing with the collies and feeding the alpacas. The feisty cockerel (Douglas) gave an extra edge - water pistols provided to repel attacks! You need to like animals to stay here. Fortunately we do.
