  • "Parking space is very difficult to access - suitable for a small vehicle only at best."

Space also had overgrown grass and roof tiles, wood etc laying around - not a welcoming start to any holiday. Unpleasant smell of damp on ground level. Free view does not work on the tv. Could not use shower as temperature control did not appear to work - either cold or too hot. Positives - great location for visiting this region of Cornwall. Bottle of wine, milk and cookies was a welcome touch. Upper floors are nice with great views.

Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback and bring these issues to our attention. We feel very lucky to have a parking space in Marazion - the space can accommodate most normal sized vehicles. We are attending to the outside of the property and rectifying the other issues you mentioned with our housekeepers and plumber. A new TV ariel has been installed and the TV is now working fine. Thanks too for your positive comments, always well received. Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed staying at the cottage."

It was a great base for us to explore the surrounding area. It was lovely to come back from a chilly walk and have a bath and light the wood burner . The general cleanliness was good, but we did find mould in the coffee pot. We also had to wash various kitchen utensils and dishes before use because of grease and bits of food left on them. A few plates were chipped and a dish cracked, which means germs can ingress. We choose self catering because we do actually cook our own food when away and often find cutlery, plates and dishes are grubby and chipped/ cracked. It would be great if cleaners could look through kitchen drawers and cupboards and clean and replace where necessary. The shower seal was brown and mouldy and the toilet brush was dirty. It wouldn't have cost much to replace these two items.

Hi Martin, I always value feedback and look to address any issues highlighted. I have asked my cleaning team to look at the issues you have raised and I will replace the shower seal. As you are aware, guests that book the cottage are also agreeing to leave the cottage how they find it but as to have experienced is not always the case As Property Owner

The cottage was lovely. The parking space, while tight, was a godsend. The bed is a standard double which we found too small. That is personal preference. All in all, we were very happy. Thank you.

The kitchen is very well equipped and the bedroom and bathroom are roomy and relaxing. We especially valued having a parking space (accessed from the road behind the cottage) which, though small, was big enough for our Audi A1. We recommend The Fire Engine pub which is less than 50 yds up the road from the cottage.

I loved the whole cottage but I found myself gravitating to the snug most. A perfect retreat to destress. The only downside is the lack of shops to buy basic items, however, just organize a home delivery from a supermarket to arrive after you get to Marazion.

The kitchen facilities were great for what we needed, the knives were sharp and there was everything we needed to cater for ourselves for a week. The log burner was the best feature by far. We used it in the evening to top up the electric storage heaters. The owner very kindly left us fuel to start it off and get us going. Very much appreciated. The location just outside of the centre of the village made it perfect as it was only a short walk into the main area. We even had a parking space which a lot of cottages there don't have. We went in February, it was very peaceful. Thoroughly recommended and would definitely go back.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. My team and myself are always looking to improve our guests experience and try to make your stay in this beautiful part of Cornwall a truly memorable one. Property Owner

The views from the bedroom, overlooking St Michaels Mount are particularly lovely. The cottage itself was perfect for us, it was tastefully furnished, warm and comfortable and a high standard of cleanliness was apparent. Everything you may need for a self catering holiday was provided for and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine, biscuit treats, tea, coffee and sugar and fresh milk. The WiFi was great. There was an instruction booklet for all appliances which was useful. Jenny the housekeeper lives a few doors away, she is very friendly and gave us some great tips on places to visit. We would have loved to have lit the wood burner to enjoy that romantic feel to the cottage on our evenings in but the nights were just too warm. Whilst the inside of the cottage was lovely, it is fair to say that the 4 levels to the garden area need some attention in order for couples to really enjoy the experience of sitting out during the good weather if they so wish. The car parking space to the rear of the property is narrow, but it is not the size of the space that gave us a problem but the poor quality and unevenness of it, with a low down car this became quite stressful in trying to get into the road without scraping the car valance. There is no alternative parking anywhere in Marazion.

Outside area would benefit from some attention to make it a more pleasant area to relax in. A few minor improvements in the accommodation such as better lighting over the dining area and a more efficient shower would make the accommodation outstanding. A more comfortable settee and mattress would also help. The accommodation is beautifully decorated mixing some old fashioned charm with modern accessories. It is a lovely place to stay; you never tire of the spectacular view of St Michael's mount and even the local pub is only a couple of minutes walk away. It is a place we plan to visit again.

We took our fire stick and The WiFi was strong enough for us to stream Netflix so if the wether isn’t kind you can relax in the cottage. The fire engine pub opposite is fab. Only six tea bags and one toilet roll which we thought was poor. Parking space was extremely narrow and quite difficult to judge. In the dark, it would be almost impossible. Having that said, these wouldn’t put us off staying at Ner Sea again. We’d arrive with more tea bags and more toilet rolls and we’d be better practised at getting into the parking space! Light and airy cottage, plenty of wardrobe space, great facilities which all help to make it more homely. This cottage also has a great position, excellent views and quiet at night. Would go again.

  • "Ner Sea is a lovely comfortable, and thoughtfully planned cottage."

It has a sea view, which we absolutely loved, and to be honest weren't expecting, so it was a wonderful surprise. We were so impressed with the view, we decided to go and buy some binoculars, and believe it or not, we found a suitable pair in the Charity Shop in Marazion. The wood burner was one of the main reasons that we decided on this cottage, together with the fact that logs are supplied in the rent. We were not disappointed. The log store was very well stocked, which came in very handy, as the weather was pretty dreadful for the 2 weeks we were there. Fog, hale, snow, sleet, rain and wind were all experienced in the fortnight that we were in Cornwall. However, this charming cosy cottage, meant that on days that were too awful to venture very far, we could spend a wonderful time indoors, just "chilling". Jenny, the housekeeper is wonderful, and looked after us very well. It is great having her so nearby, in the case of problems. Not that we experienced any during our stay. The small electric heaters supplied, were also a lovely touch, as it helped warm the bedroom/landing up nicely. The position of this cottage is truly wonderful, and everything is easily accessible by car. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this cottage for a lovely romantic break. It is quiet, well appointed, and the bed is very comfortable. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.

The woodburner was a delight to have. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom bright and pretty and the living area very cosy. The housekeeper Jenny is a real dear and it was such a pleasure to meet her. She made me feel so welcome. The only issues I had were the relatively dark area at the table which could do with a light from above. And the traffic noise did not bother me too much but my wife, who is more sensible with that, was affected by it. Still, I can recommend it a lot.
