  • "Absolutely beautiful!"

Decorated to a high standard! Well equipped and spotlessly clean. Warm and comfortable! Dog very welcome. All I would do is update photo of enclosed garden as in the booking photo there are only 3 sides, no problem for us as I rang to check but could put off some people off booking! Would highly recommend

The Forge is a fabulous cottage, so beautifully converted by the owners, very nicely decorated, fitted out and kept very clean, we had a fabulous week staying at "The Forge" and would highly recommend it

  • "On first impression very clean on closer inspection few cleaning things were missed."

For example “the upper part of the Extrator fan was very greasy and dusty. The Windows were dirty. The Bed although very big but has seen better days. I suffer with a very bad back and it definitely made my back even more painful and because of that, I lost a lot of sleep.

She kept in contact to make sure we had all the cleaning, bedding changes etc that we wanted throughout. The cottage has been done to a high standard with good quality materials. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this property.

  • "What a wonderful week we had at the beginning of June."

We were so lucky with the weather and couldn't have asked for a nicer location! Situated on a farm where you can walk through lanes to see the sheep or keep going to explore the country roads. The Forge was immaculately clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The fridge was a great size for a week! Also rare to find a dog friendly place with a comfortable super king bed. There is a small picket fenced garden out the front so not a huge amount of running around for dogs, but this didn't bother us as we were out and about every day. The WiFi was good and the water pressure for the shower was fabulous! We would 10000% come back and look forward to returning. Two small suggestions which could make the experience even better - where we had such good weather, the Forge gets quite hot with sun most of the day so maybe put a larger tower/lollipop fan in the bedroom. - a clothes horse would be super helpful as there is not a huge amount of hanging space to let clothes dry after washing them

In a peaceful location with lots of walks from the property which took us to some lovely villages with some great pubs Only a short drive and you are either on the coast, in the countryside or can visit bigger towns such as Falmouth Would highly recommend and we hope to make it back again in the future

  • "Just one word describes the Forge - FABULOUS."

Everything you could think of has been catered for from providing a delicious cream tea on arrival to milk, tea & coffee even a selection of spices. The mixture of modern and country style has been beautifully done. The owners should feel very proud of their achievement in providing this first class property.

  • "The accommodation was lovely."

The only issue was when we arrived at the property early, approximately 2pm. The owner said check-in was 4pm but on the email it stated 3pm. He appeared to be put out so we said we were happy to come back later, which we did. On reflection it wasn't the warmest reception for paying guests, considering he sent us email the day before to say there maybe delays on the A30, so we left early to allow for this delay

  • "The Forge was perfect - it’s very tastefully decorated and has a really restful atmosphere - I loved the lighting which was very unusual and a lot of care had been taken in choices of fabric and recliner sofa and chair ( very comfortable) There is plenty of outside space including a small fenced personal garden space with chairs as well as further spaces There was everything we needed."

We met one of the owners on our second day and he told us that we could pop across to him at any time if we had a problem - it was a nice balance of the owners being accessible but not intrusive which was ideal The location is also a lovely mixture of being in the depths of the countryside, through some magical woodland and a large pond with many ducks ( and a giant gorilla, swan and penguin which adds to the magic) but also only being about 9 minutes drive from the big Asda supermarket on the outskirts of Falmouth It’s not too far to get to some nice beaches like Swanpool and Gylly beach which has a lovely beach cafe and a nice sandy beach that isn’t too crowded Falmouth is my favourite Cornish town and I never get tired of walking through it So if you want a very high quality and historical property with a beautiful original blacksmiths stone fireplace that’s in a beautiful rural location but is also close to beaches, shops, restaurants and lovely bits of Cornwall, I would highly recommend the Forge

Very comfortable bed with luxury modern en suite walk in shower and underfloor heating; a lovely cosy open plan sitting room, kitchen, dining area with gas central heating and woodburner ensured we were warm during our sub zero stay. The kitchen had quality appliances with oven/hob/washing machine etc etc. The owners left us a lovely cream tea, milk and doggy treats which we very much appreciated. The cottage is in the perfect location to enjoy the many scenic local countryside walks without the need to take the car out. Our spaniel enjoyed playing ball in the enclosed garden and swimming in the Helford estuary. We had lovely days out to Falmouth, Truro, Godrevy Beach, Penrose National Trust and the Helford. Will definitely return to the Forge and this wonderful corner of Cornwall.

  • "Well our stay at The Forge was excellent, the cottage has everything you need from a washing machine / tumble dryer, dishwasher to everything you need to even make a cake or a home meal, it was really clean and the standard of furniture and equipment was excellent - I would however say that maybe a bigger TV in the bedroom would be nice other then that excellent in every way, The owners are very nice and they can assist you should you have any problems which I don’t think you will if you stay at The Forge."

As the cottage is very near to Falmouth you have everything you need should you wish to have a meal out, or even getting to a supermarket to get some food to cook. The bed and bathroom is excellent, massive walk in shower and Queen sized bed with good quality bedding. When you stay at The Forge you hear nothing but maybe an owl, it has brilliant views of the Cornish countryside and has super fast WiFi. I can highly recommend The Forge for any stay and myself and my family will return next year.
