The property

Once part of the stables for The Wellington Hotel which can be found opposite, this charming cottage is now one of three stone abodes created from this historic building, resting in Boscastle, Cornwall.

Pencliffe boasts a pretty cottage style from both the exterior and interior, and presents an excellent choice for a family or group of five guests looking to delight in a coastal holiday.

On the ground floor, an inviting arrangement of leather seating are within the living room/diner, set before a homely woodburning stove, you can certainly see yourself winding down in here at the end of a fun-filled day.

Set up the folding table for an evening meal and talk over the coming events and activities, having prepared delicious food in the pretty kitchen.

Enjoying light and bright colours as well as excellent appliances, the kitchen space has all you need for a great self-catered stay, with country-cottage style touches throughout adding character all atop the classic slate flooring.

A double bedroom rests on this floor too, while upstairs you can find the remaining two, including another double, and a king-size room, with various beautiful antique furniture pieces used to provide fabulous decoration and storage for your belongings.

The lovely bathroom holds a bath with a shower attachment over, freshen up in here after a warm coastal walk in summer.

Sit out on the front patio and people watch as people come and go from The Wellington Hotel, as you enjoy an evening drink before you and your group pop over the road to sample the ales for yourself in the bar.

Just down the road you can find a general shop for any supplies, and within walking distance is Boscastle Harbour; stroll here and on the way back visit The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, home to the largest collection of witch-inspire items, it is a quirky place sure to amaze.

For some excellent scenery, head up to Warren Point before continuing along the South West Coast Path, and come to Tintagel Castle, an historic landmark said to be the birthplace of King Arthur, with a statue of him atop the cliff to commemorate this legend.

With pretty villages like Port Isaac further south, and the beach of Crackington Haven to the north, Pencliffe offers a great location from which to enjoy Cornwall.
