  • "Loved our stay at The Wink, so much so that we have booked again for the same time next year."

We took our dog there to get away from the fireworks and it was perfectly situated for the peace. Great country walks with stunning views right outside the door.

  • "The Wink was amazing the moment we entered, it had the wow factor!"

, despite having arrived in the rain and mist. The layout of the accommodation was well thought out and executed, the ability to close the outer sliding doors and the Velux roof blinds allows the lounge/kitchen area to be sufficiently dark at night for our little dog to sleep through, the nice long walks helped. Very comfortable bed, and great bathroom, especially the large shower enclosure, always plenty of hot water throughout the day. Nice touch to have bath robes supplied, especially for going outside to use the hot tub. Great kitchen area with the Everhot range. Well stocked with all the utensils we needed. The best welcome basket we have experienced anywhere in self catering accommodation, all top quality locally sourced items. The walled patio area outside was ideal, and safe for the dog and a nice sun trap for most of the day, we managed to use the hot tub, without difficulty, plenty of easy instructions and useful information in the guest book. One of the outstanding benefits was the quiet location on the farm, no traffic noise, very peaceful, great access straight onto the SWCP at the end of the lane, great walks with stunning views. A very easy 10-12 minute walk into St Just with all the essentials, and great pubs, so no real need to be constantly using a car. Lorna, the owner came round shortly after we arrived, to see we were settled in OK, and husband Harvey also passed by during the week. They have gone to great lengths and much thought has gone into presenting this first class accommodation on their farm, it is certainly the best we have stayed in over the years we've been visiting Cornwall. We will most definitely recommend The Wink and hope to return. One last thing, the Cape Cornwall rum that is produced on the farm is excellent!

  • ""The Wink" An absolutely wonderful house in a fantastic location in Kernow!"

First-class facilities, very clean and the cottage really leaves nothing to be desired. Lorna & Harvey are absolutely first-class and very nice landlords, very friendly and take care of things immediately if there is anything. A successful holiday and stay in Kernow really couldn't be better...and that's exactly why we booked again during our wonderful stay! All in all, "The Wink" was one of the most beautiful houses where we have spent our holidays in Kernow in all the many years. Thank you for everything Lorna & Havey! We'll see each other again and are already looking forward to being your guests again... Best wishes, Stefan, Ulrike & Bolchen

The property exceeded our expectations. Communication with the owner was very good. We particularly loved the attention to detail and quality of fixtures and fittings. A major selling point for us was having its own EV charger that worked perfectly. We would highly recommend a stay at this property.

  • "What a wonderful week my husband, our dog Bryn and I had at the Wink."

We were greeted by a lovely box full of thoughtful edible goodies which was very unexpected but gratefully received. The Wink is well laid out with lovely furnishings and everything you need is there for you to use. The bed is lovely and comfortable and we both slept lovely all week. The hot tub was a lovely addition and a really relaxing treat to have in the evening ( it takes a good couple of hours or more to warm up so bear that in mind ). The surrounding area is stunning. It really is worth you doing a tour of the mines, it will amaze you. Lorna and her husband are very accommodating, if you run out of wood for the burner or tub then you just ask for more. We can’t wait to stay The Wink next year.

  • "There are no words to describe just how fabulous this cottage is."

We stayed for Christmas and arrived at midnight after a 5hr journey to a beautifully lit Christmas tree, a wonderfully warm cottage and a welcome box full of the most amazing and thoughtful goodies. The property is immaculate, everything is just that more lovely than you’d hope, the kitchen is full of brilliant utensils.. all lined up and sparkly clean!! Made me smile at the thoughtfulness of the owner and the time spent making guest’s stays all that more memorable. Wonderfully quiet and a few steps through the gate is THE most incredible view and wonderful walks around Cape Cornwall. Two minute drive into St Just which is full of super cute shops, pubs and a fab Co-op. The cottage is perfectly placed for exploring Cornwall. We travel all over the country with our dog and have stayed in many cottages over the years - this is the very best for location, luxury and all round relaxation. We WILL go back.. didn’t want to leave!

About the location

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
