  • "This little gem is an absolute must if you want top quality accommodation."

The cottage has everything and more that you could want on your short break or longer stay. The peace and quiet and gentle sounds of cows grazing in the paddock was so relaxing. A great place to unwind !! The hosts Lisa and Felix and little Sassy were a pleasure and I hope I get to stay here again one day.

  • "What a great place to stay!"

We were after a break to relax and we definitely did in the peace and tranquility of Kingsand! The property was equipped with everything we needed to have a home from home experience. Massive bonus for us was the enclosed garden for our dog! We will definitely look at returning!

  • "Pleasant dog friendly hosts and located in a lovely quiet location."

We were informed prior to arrival that there was a problem with the oven and that it was hoping to be fixed prior to arrival but eventually took until 4 days after our arrival which could have been a problem had we not brought our Ooni grill with us. The property is very well maintained with a nicely kept garden with rural views. The only negative aspect worthy of comment was regarding the WiFi. I had hoped to keep in touch with work but the internet connection was really slow and inconsistent meaning I couldn’t really get much done. This at times also affected the TV apps etc. A real bonus was access to a shared utility room with a washing machine/drying facilities and towels to dry clean the dogs. Internet issues aside we would recommend Kingsand.

  • "Lisa and Felix were great hosts, the cottage was very well equipped, we did have an issue with the oven but Lisa cooked our Cornish pasties in her oven for us."

The cottage is a little out of the way, and you need to use very narrow country lanes to get to it, which can be a bit tricky when you have a tractor or car coming the other way. The main A38 can be a bit of a nightmare getting out from the turning,

The owners live on site and are very welcoming and are there if required but not intrusive. One of 3 cottages on site with excellent facilities in the cottage with extra communal facilities for laundry if required. Great uninterrupted views from the private garden over the fields. Lovely location for walking either with or without a dog. Recommend the butchers at the crossroads. Even called when we were leaving to bring some produce home. Great base for exploring lots of Cornwall. Would definitely recommend.

There was a lovely basket of delicious local treats for us to try and a dog hamper with useful things for our Tilly. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the crockery, utensils and equipment we needed. The garden was fully enclosed, had garden furniture and was perfect for us and our dog to relax in after a busy day exploring the countryside. We found it to be the perfect based to explore Cornwall and Devon. The hosts were friendly and gave great advice about where to visit and how to get there. What more could you want.

Everything mentioned in the reviews is true because everything is perfectly in order. The enclosed garden is ideal for a dog and the view is amazing. Felix and Lisa are indeed very friendly, service-oriented, and you can have a good conversation with them. Tideford is perfectly located with beautiful places like Porpello, Looe, Mevagissey, and Fowey nearby, while trips to West Cornwall and Devon are very manageable. In short: a 10 out of 10 in every aspect! Ron & Astrid
