  • "There’s not a lot to be done to make this place perfect."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the property was spotless, incredibly well equipped, beautifully decorated and Bright and airy. Our only negative was the mattresses as they were thin and uncomfortable. Saying this, we would most definitely book again.

  • "Lovely property in a great location."

Even on dull wet days the Net Loft was flooded with light. The minor problem with hot water was dealt with promptly and efficiently. It is everything that you hope for in a seaside holiday cottage.

  • "The Net Loft was in a wonderful location in Mousehole - a beautiful village that we have stayed at on numerous occasions."

The accommodation was well appointed and looked quite stunning with marvellous natural light. The facilities were as you would expect in a modern apartment and it was well maintained and spotlessly clean. If we had one small issue it was that the single bed mattresses were rather uncomfortable and the duvets on the single beds could really have been heavier winter duvets by the first week of October when we stayed. Having said that we would have no hesitation in recommending the Net Loft and Mousehole to friends and family.

  • "Perfect location a few steps away from the harbour."

Upstairs open plan living area is superb, very comfortable, light and airy. downstairs facilities and bedrooms are small. The instructions need updating, the double mattress springs were noisy and the outside shared access was untidy - we saw a rat twice and a neighbour said they had seen one going up our steps. The rats came from another neighbour's decking. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay and would stay there again. Thank you

  • "A stunning house in the most absolutely perfect location."

Steps from the harbour, it's a joy to spend time in this light open, airy space where a whole family can find a place to be comfortable. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked and in terms of tools, I've never stayed in a place that was so well supplied. Useful touches like torches and a first aid kit show how much care and attention is paid here. When we had one very minor issue (with the TV, nothing important), both the housekeeper and the owner were amazingly responsive. It was such a magical holiday and we made so many memories here I've done something I've never done before, booked again for next year!

The property

This charming converted Net Loft nestles in the centre of the picturesque fishing village of Mousehole, one of Cornwall's hidden gems, famous for its Christmas lights, with views from the harbour across Mount's Bay to St Michael's Mount.

Conveniently located in its heart this once modest net loft situated above the old village bark house (where nets were treated), has been transformed into an enchanting holiday home.

The property itself is set over two floors and is accessed via granite steps leading to the first floor level.

The interior design cleverly reflects the centuries old tradition of life bound up with the sea and has immense appeal.

Comfortably furnished and well equipped, open beams and exposed granite walls add to its character.

There are three stylish bedrooms and a pristine family bathroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs is the versatile open plan living room with a kitchen and dining area featuring a lofty ceiling with exposed beams and velux windows to make it extremely light and airy.

Reversed style accommodation affords a view of the harbour and Mousehole Island.

Although there is no garden, the harbour is only a few steps away where you can sit back and enjoy the colourful scene.

The village fishing heritage dates back to 1266 and the tightly knitted streets and lanes are full of local Lamorna granite built cottages.

Perfect for a stroll to a host of pubs and restaurants, collect some provisions from the excellent delicatessen, or use the property as a base for touring Cornwall with beaches and sheltered coves, some fantastic walking as well as attractions which include Lands End, numerous National Trust properties and Gardens and the Minack Theatre at Porthcurno.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
