  • "The listing does not make it clear that the apartment is at the back of the block and does not have a view of Fistral Beach, which is the main reason we chose this apartment."

Whilst there is a partial view of the sea the main view is of a car park. The apartment is in need of an update - the tv is not a smart tv so unable to view any of our streaming services; there is no smart speaker or radio; sofa incredibly uncomfortable and not large enough for 4 adults to sit comfortably; the gas fire is incredibly difficult to light; there is only outside seating for 2 people; one of the windows in bedroom does not shut; the fridge has mould under the milk shelf which cannot be cleaned as the shelf is super glued in place; there is no coffee maker or large cafetiere; no hairdryer; no toiletries provided in the bathroom; there is no wardrobe in the 2nd bedroom and the wardrobe in the other does not have a hanging space for dresses so they get bunched up on the shelf; there is only 1 bedside lamp in each bedroom. Whilst some of these are being picky, put together they made our stay less enjoyable and comfortable than it should have been for the price we paid. On the plus side we could not fault the response from Sykes when we contacted them to say that the bed had not been zipped together (as requested), that there were several light bulbs blown in the lounge and kitchen and that the shower head was almost falling off the wall into the bath. They sent housekeeping and maintenance the same day and resolved these issues. The apartment is in a great location and very easy to walk to the beach and town.

  • "Stayed in Newquay for a week, and found Headland View to be a great base for our holiday."

It's modern, clean, private and walkable to anywhere in central Newquay. The views are nice and it has just about everything you need!

  • "Excellent communication with the management company."

The location of the property is perfect for both beaches and the town, sea views, sea breeze, absolutely perfect. Property is spacious for a large family or 2 couples and everything you need is there. The little welcome packs were very handy when we arrived. I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Newquay but this is the one I’ll return to!

  • "Very nice cosy holiday home."

I do like details like plants (well, artificial, but still plants ) in bathrooms and dining table. However before arrival when we asked to do twin beds as a double no one replied. Left item sent back easy and quickly.
