  • "Fulfilled all expectations."

. David is a great host

  • "On the plus side, there were new carpets in the lounge and bedrooms."

The large flagstones in the entrance and kitchen dinner were lovely. The furniture in the lounge was dated but exactly as on the Web page. The white goods were OK. There were lots of little things that needed to be seen to. Not enough mugs, small glasses, forks, only a huge frying pan, so annoying after a couple of days. The bedrooms, the twin room bathroom was so small it was unusable. The bedding and towels were so rough we used our beach towels. Now the outside a white table with three chairs all in need of a good wash, a wooden table with benches that needed a good scrub and a coat of varnish two ashtrays still full on the window ledges, weeds growing in the flagstones. General untidiness. So only used as a way to the washing line. On the positive side the lawn had been mowed. I will not comment on the spiders or fly's as this is a very old property and is to be expected to some degree. We enjoyed the pub, parking was fine. This property just needs more attention to the small details inside and rather more to the rear garden area.

The house was lovely, and had everything we needed. We had a great stay and I would recommend as the location is very pretty and central to a good few sites. Bude only about 25 mins away in the car, which is where we went most days.

  • "As a family we were pleased with the farmhouse even in the hottest week of the year, being old with thick walls it remained cool inside."

David the owner was very welcoming and informative when showing us around the property, if there was a problem he was always to help. Barney the dog was a star with the children and lead you to the pub, or wanted to play. It was tight to depart at 9am, but we understand that as it has to be cleaned properly to keep up the high standards. A very enjoyable holiday.

) We feel comfortable there, the facilities are good, and the spacious kitchen is well-equipped, with a table long enough for all to sit around for our evening meal after a day out. A peaceful retreat offering a strong feel of the country after the busy beaches of Bude, Crackington, Widemouth etc.

  • "We have just returned home from an absolutely fabulous stay."

There were 10 of us and an infant four generations in total. Every one of us loved our stay at Eastcott Farm. The house is a typical farmhouse filled with charm. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The garden was superb for all the children who spent hours playing games. We bought a small inflatable pool and spent a whole day in the garden. It is a great location, around 25 minutes from Bude which has a stunning beach and small town. Also close to other beaches and villages. Port Isaac is worth a visit. The pub next door to the house was a massive bonus and we spent several nights in there. David is a great host and is always around with advice on the area. His dog Barney loves children and is always waiting for his ball to be thrown. Would love to return here. Thanks so much David.

  • "We throughly enjoyed our stay at Eastcott Farmhouse."

As a family group of 10, from small children to grandparents, everyone was extremely pleased with the stay. Great kitchen / Dinning room fully stocked with everything you need. All bedrooms clean and pleasantly decorated with a en-suite or bathroom for every room. The garden is brilliant, great sun trap with the local wildlife popping in say Hello. As for David, a complete gentleman, he cannot do enough to help, with great knowledge of local areas for days out. All in all a brilliant place to stay and would definitely revisit.

Electric showers very intermittent with temperature. Whilst there builders where working on another building not adhering to speed limit past the farm house, again children around. We only comment due to having a very young grand children with us. Update details required, 1,you can leave after 9am owner was surprised we where leaving so early. 2 ,there is access to sky basic TV and a large android TV in lounge and smaller TV in kitchen diner. We were given all information about farmhouse and made very welcome by the owner. The dog is a big softy.Property in a lovely location, off the beaten track. We found 1 Indian restaurant that delivered. Overall the family had a really good holiday.

  • "This is a spacious and well-equipped rural house with a big garden."

Very clean. Wifi is patchy due to the remote location, and you will need a car to access anywhere from here (the listing says Whitstone but it's actually North Tamerton). Perfect if you want to get away from it all. Please note that you cannot run more than 1 bath or shower simultaneously. We did not know this, and found out the hard way :D The owner lives on site and is around to help with any issues. In fact, he saved our holiday - our car broke down and we we couldn't find a garage anywhere around Bude with the capacity to help us. David, however, came to the rescue to we could continue our break! A real lifesaver. He also gave us plenty of advice on ways to make the most of our stay in the area.

The owner David was very welcoming and helpful. The farmhouse was excellent, the beds were all comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. This very remote farmhouse has a beautiful enclosed garden for the safety of small ones playing and a pond to the front. It’s 20 minutes to the nearest shop so keep that in mind. Dave is really friendly and always on hand to recommend places to visit and eat. We had a Tesco’s delivery the evening we arrived. The farmhouse has a huge amount of space (their was 11 of us). Our only negative was the noise from the people coming out of the pub late which disturbed the bedrooms to the front of the house on a few of the evenings. Would definitely stay here again.
