  • "This is our second stay and we came back due to the proximity to the shops and pubs, my father has limited walking, and this is perfect."

All on one level, warm with all you could ask for. Kitchen is well equipped, beds very comfortable, lounge is roomy. This is a good base to explore and we have enjoyed days at Rock, Padstow, Polzeath, Bude and of course Boscastle and Tintagel itself. Good food near by so you don't have to cook and you have to go to the boscastle farm shop... Book for lunch you should ont be disappointed and their sausages and meat is top quality!

Hi Thank you so much it was an absolute pleasure hosting you. We look forward to seeing you again. Property Owner

  • "We stayed here for a week in July 24."

The place is okay and a little noisy being right next to the main road but good for walking to the pubs shops. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen fitted out well. The lounge is very uncomfortable if you want to sit and read and watch TV. One of us ended up sitting on the floor as the red chairs are very uncomfortable. Bathroom is nice and the shower is very good

Your reaction to the tub chairs is a first and a bit extreme, however as we want our guests to have the best experience we will be replacing them with another sofa shortly. There are other seating options including a large two seater sofa (your party was two people) and a padded chair so really no need to ‘sit on the floor’. We would have provided additional options on request if necessary. You enquired whether it was possible to gain access to the apartment early. It wasn’t ready at that time, we managed to have it available shortly after and well before 3pm. We supplied a fan at your request which we purchased assembled and delivered within half an hour. Regarding these two points and your only dislike (the tub chairs) we feel the scoring on this review is very unfair and certainly does not reflect the experience or view of the majority of our many past guests. Low scoring can heavily impact someones livelihood. We are very disappointed as we work so hard to ensure people have the best holiday experience at Falcon House. Property Owner

  • "We already fed back regarding extra hooks in the bathroom for long dressing gowns and a grab rail in the shower to avoid slips."

The apartment was modern and well appointed and in a great position for exploring. The car parking was great and everything there we needed. A small bottle of milk would have been appreciated upon arrival. There was plenty of washing up liquid and soap etc but no salt, cooking oil or tea bags so be prepared and bring your own. Village shops expensive as expected. There is a Lidl and Aldi in Wadebridge to get groceries for the week if required. We are two older ladies so the visit to Tintagel Castle on the first day proved exhausting and really too much for us although enjoyable we suffered for the rest of the week with sciatica and aches and pains ... be warned! Local pubs are good but food very expensive so we cooked in the apartment. There are good facilities including a big Wok like pan that was great. We had a week and still didn't explore all the local little shops or even the Arthurian Centre with was only across the road! There is a lot to do round and about and if you are fit and like to walk you will love it. Ideal base for exploring.

  • "The apartment is perfect for anyone who can't cope with stairs as all on one level, just two steps into the shower."

The property was immaculate, well equiped and very warm and cosy. Their were lots of lovely touches, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and all bio friendly! So if you hadn't brought there were those little things you tend to forget. Kitchen has good range of appliances, washing machine and dishwasher and plenty of glasses. Also handy a range of child plates and bowls. Beds were super comfortable and even though your on the main street you don't get a lot of noise, so relaxing lie ins just kept happening

Thankyou for your kind review we want all of our guests to feel at home from home. We look forward to seeing you again best wishes Liz & Paul Property Owner

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
