The property

Par 1.6 miles. The Old Milking Parlour is located in the village of St. Blazey Gate, within the Parish of Par on the South Cornwall Coast, it is in a good position to explore the County of Cornwall. Possessing great countryside views and sea views, as well as being close to the beach and several amenities, this cottage is perfect for a family trip away to the seaside. Nearby is the sandy, family and dog-friendly beach of Par; also close-by is Carlyon Bay Beach. Both are within the beautiful St Austell Bay, which offers a range of scenic cliff path walks.

Just over one mile away is the internationally renowned Eden Project, which you can access by car or through a local woodland footpath.

Between Par and the picturesque harbour of Fowey, is the Gribben Peninsula which has magnificent views of the surrounding coastline and makes for an excellent walk. Close to Par are many places connected to the author Daphne Du Maurier, including the small cove at Polkerris, which boasts The Rashleigh Arms. The Rashleigh Arms takes its name from a local landowner whose house was frequented by the author. There are many attractions in the area including the Wheal Martyn Clay Country Park, the beautiful harbour of Charlestown and The Lost Gardens of Heligan near St Austell.

Take on each other at Cornwall Football Golf Park with numerous courses or go for a stroll around the picturesque Pinetum Gardens.

Fowey provides the chance for a great family day; as you have the chance to touch some funky sea creatures at visit the Fowey aquarium, go on a scenic ferry ride across the River Fowey, go on a hike to see or discover the ancient ruins of St. Catherine’s Castle. If one would like to blow away the cobwebs, Bodmin Moor with its granite outcrops, is a great place to explore. Inside the property, a large lounge gives you the opportunity to become accustomed to your new holiday base.
