Feels very private with great beds and well proportioned rooms. Great quality of fixtures and fittings. Spongy lawn for morning coffee outside. It was nice to park your car off road in the driveway with room for 3 cars.

Very well equipped and lovely Steve Brown art work. Very central for visiting all the tourist places. A pity the New Inn at the bottom of the road was not serving food the 2 weeks we were there, however the beautiful kitchen and range made it so easy for us to make our own meals.

it is always very fresh and clean the beds are very comfy and every thing you need for a great stay is provided , we loved the two new sofas as we did find the others were a bit low (but that was down to our age and mobility ) the location of the property is great for reaching all local attractions also a shop and pub just along the road, will be booking again for next year

  • "The cottage is in an ideal location, well equipped and a perfect size for the 4 of us."

The owner had taken a lot of thought to provide more than enough for a weeks stay; scones on arrival, modern kitchen and bathroom, games/puzzles, leaflets etc. We did have a few minor issues with the back room which the owner was quick to try and resolve. The cottage itself feels very damp throughout, there is a strong damp/musty smell in both bedrooms but especially the back bedroom which is carried through the whole cottage, making the stay for us not as comfortable as it could have been. Without this problem though, it would have been absolutely bang on.

We are so glad you had a lovely holiday and to hear that the owner was able to help you during your stay. As mentioned in the previous feedback, the owners of Summerhayes are aware that guests have mentioned dampness and have planned work to fix this. Property Owner

  • "Lovely holiday accommodation in handy location but after the cleaning products have worn off there's a damp musty smell throughout the property and particularly the carpeted areas."

The sofas need replacing as they aren't comfortable. A blind in the bathroom would be a good idea, even though nothing behind the property, as when in the kitchen at night time reflections on the utility windows meant you could see who was in the bathroom. Beds were comfy and great to have such a big bed in main bedroom. Kitchen well equipped but not much cooking done on holidays. Lovely pub close by with a Sunday night quiz.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, we are delighted that you found Summerhayes lovely! We have spoken to the owners of the property who are aware of the points you raise regarding the damp. After such a busy summer season the owners are planning to replace the roof slates in October which they believe will resolve any damp issues moving forward. Update: the sofa has now been replaced with a brand new and very comfortable one. Property Owner

  • "A lovely bungalow in a residential area, but very quiet, close to lots of areas to explore, local shop, great Cantonese takeaway 5 mins drive away."

Beaches and walks close by. The only thing we would like to mention is, there are no instructions for the T.v, gas fire, dishwasher, washing machine, or oven and these would be handy. But otherwise we would highly recommend this bungalow. We had an enjoyable and relaxing week.

  • "We definitely recommend this comfortable, clean and well equipped detached bungalow set in quiet Park Bottom yet in easy reach of several beautiful beaches, Tehidy Country Park and the day to day amenities in Redruth and Camborne."

The A3O is easily accessed so you are spoilt for choice for seeking out stunning scenery abd breathtaking beaches or visiting historic towns such as Truro, Penzance and Falmouth. The property has a lovely private sun trap garden, an excellent modern kitchen with quality appliances, two very comfy king size beds, a ‘smart’ TV and a good size shower. There is ample private parking off road. Although our early autumn weather was mixed, we had a most enjoyable week here. The village pub and stores/PO are a convenient 3 minute walk away and there is a local bus service. All in all, we consider Summerhayes to be a real find.

Lots of space in the kitchen cupboards which is great, usually you do not have much space for food! Beds very comfortable. No instructions for anything in the folder except the waste disposal. Need instructions for the central heating, oven, tv system etc. Also no information about recycling, dustbins etc. Could do with a chest of drawers or similar in back bedroom. More electrical sockets or extension lead would also be useful.
