  • "Lovely place to stay, high standard accomodation with modern facilities."

Responsive host. Great beach close by and not far from other attractions in Cornwall.

  • "We had an amazing stay at this beautiful house which was in an amazing location."

With it being close to some lovely beaches and places to visit. Lands end, St Ives and many more of Cornwall’s great landmarks. The property was well equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings. Close to many shops and restaurants Could not recommend this enough for a lovely family holiday. We travelled over 7 hours and would go back tomorrow if we could. Thank you for providing a great holiday property.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments which are greatly appreciated. I'm really glad you had a great holiday. Property Owner

  • "Lovely house but unfortunately not very suitable for anyone with problems climbing stairs as they are quite steep and have gates top and bottom for child safety."

Apart from that all needs were catered for. Lovely break.

  • "Great stay."

Very clean and tidy. Eva the house keeper very kindly sent us back a gilet which was left behind.

Many thanks for the feedback. Eva is a star isn't she - she keeps the house and garden looking beautiful and nothing is too much trouble for her. Property Owner

  • "A lovely and comfortable house in a perfect location for enjoying the stunning local beach of Praa Sands (3 min drive) and lots of beautiful Cornish villages, gardens, attractions and beaches."

See views from the bedrooms. Perfect for cooking and relaxing at home between outings. Good quality towels and linen. 1st floor has a king bed and two twins, which can be made into a King bed. 2nd floor has two double beds (not king). A bonus is that the house has a drier (which is not mentioned on the listing). Lovely small garden with seating. NB: There is no BBQ or hair dryer supplied. Friendly and helpful owner.

Many thanks for such a positive feedback. I'm glad you had a nice relaxing holiday. I thought long and hard about a BBQ but with children and animals welcome I thought it was wisest not to have one. There are, however, two hair dryers in the house, one on each of the bedroom floors. • "The property is is clean, modern and in a great location, the four bedrooms are all a great size but because it is over 3 floors the ground floor seating area would I think be a bit small if 8 people were staying and also only 2 chairs on the outside deck area, this was all fine for us as only 2 of us were staying but it would be a consideration for a party of 8 Although this is under no control of the property owners I do feel I should mention the very loud and annoying squawking from the vast amounts of crows in the trees in the next garden which started at dawn and was none stop until dusk, this lead to no peace and quiet when reading in the garden."

On the whole this property is value for money and I would recommend it.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

Proximity to the beach was a lovely surprise for our little dogs! The house itself was very comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Close to some great places to visit and meals out. We wondered if an information-pack could be included, but otherwise it was perfect.

Thank you for your feedback and I'm really glad you had a nice holiday and your little dogs enjoyed the beach. I have noted your comment about the information pack and will take this up with Sykes to see if one could be provided for future guests. Property Owner

There was lots of places to visit near by. Just Perfect, We was sad to leave, and will definitely book again.

  • "This property is a delightful surprise."

It is bigger inside that the external photo suggests, being on three floors. The decor and furnishings are top notch with every possible facility having been provided. Everything is immaculate, including the garden areas. There is a sea view from the upper rooms and it takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the beach down a quiet road. On the way there are a convenience store, a coffee bar and a hardware shop. On the beach, there is a bar and a cafe. There are one or two garages with shops included not far away along the A394. Also, there are Sainsbury's superstores in Helston and Penzance, each one about a 15 minutes drive away.

Thank you very much for taking the time and trouble to leave such a positive and informative feedback. It really means a lot to me. `i hope you had a lovely holiday. Property Owner

  • "Loft service hatch not secure on top floor front bedroom, could do with a latch to keep it closed."

A few too many plants, especially in garden where they kept blowing over. Sorry to sound picky, other than that had everything we needed couldn’t ask for more.

Thank you for your feedback and I note your comments. The loft hatch has now been secured. Your holiday did sadly coincide with some rather stormy weather with strong sea winds which did blow a few things around in the garden. The plants have now been re-sited and should hopefully be more stable. Property Owner

  • "The property was stunning, it had everything you could possibly need, all the appliances are top of the range, the finish in all rooms and bathrooms is superb."

We asked if there was an ironing board in the house, and then one appeared in no time on the doorstep, brand new with a brand new iron. All of the essentials were provided, and the location is wonderful. Praa Sands beach is idyllic, close to St Michael's Mount, and The Welloe down the road was a fantastic place to eat and drink. Thank you for an amazing holiday!

Thank you so much for such lovely feedback. I'm really glad you enjoyed your holiday and the house was left in immaculate condition which is much appreciated. Property Owner

About the location

PRAA SANDS

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
