  • "We had a wonderful stay at Still Waters."

The property was immaculate & finished & furnished to an incredibly high standard. There are lots of lovely touches such as the landline phone so you can receive calls, the welcome hamper & the minibar. The cottage is in a beautiful location with the beach just around the corner & it is very handy to have parking out front. It really was a most comfortable home from home & we would highly recommend it. We certainly hope to be back.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time at the cottage and in Pentewan. Please come back and visit again. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely comfortable cottage, beautifully decorated, very well equipped with all you could need and spotlessly clean."

A short walk to the beach and close proximity to a number of other places well worth visiting like the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan meant it was an ideal place to stay.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We hope you had a lovely holiday and we’d love you to visit again. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely."

It felt like home. Very spacious and fresh. We took our dog. He enjoyed himself too. Our gramps lives in Glentowan Road and we have been frequent visitors to Pentewan for the last 10 years. We know many in the village. We will definitely stay here again and I've recommended it to our relatives for their family too. Everything had been thought of. Go and see for yourselves. Great value for money. Close to the beach, pub and local shop.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and I am so glad the cottage felt like a home from home. Please do recommend us to all your family and friends, I'm sure we've probably already bumped into your Gramps when we have been down as it a small place full of lovely people. Property Owner

  • "We would like to say this is an aesthetically beautifully renovated cottage The steep staircase was very challenging for our arthritic joints and maybe prospective renters should be warned especially as only WC is upstairs!"

! We didn t have the sheets changed or clean towels mid week or a clean as we usually do with Sykes lettings Lighting in the sitting room not great for avid readers The kitchen needs an extractor fan as it steams up quickly and condensates on the walls The wooden draining board needs a water collectable rack to save the wood from staining long term These are observations to enhance the cottage preservation

Thank you so much for your feedback and we will be assessing all your valuable comments. We hope you still enjoyed your stay and the beautiful location. Property Owner

  • "Wow what a beautiful cottage, extremely well equipped and luxurious."

It felt like a real home from home, it was so clean and everything worked perfectly. Nice little touches such as the smart tv, washing machine and the air fryer. It was very handy having the cleaning equipment too especially as we brought our children and the dog! The roll top bath was a firm favourite all round too and the perfect way to soothe aching muscles after exploring all that pentewan and the surrounding areas had to offer. This cottage is close to all that you can need and is a perfect retreat from some of the Cornish weather too. If ever Still waters were to come up for sale I would be incredibly interested because this cottage helped us confirm that st austell is where we will settle.

Thank you so much for your great feedback and we are delighted you enjoyed your time staying at Still Waters. It’s lovely to know it felt like a home from home for you too. We promise to let you know if we ever do decide to sell! Property Owner

About the location

PENTEWAN

St Austell 4 miles; Mevagissey 2 miles.

Pentewan is a delightful coastal village set back from the sandy expanse of Pentewan Beach. The village shop and pub draw visitors from far and wide, while the beach is good for children and a favourite with water sport enthusiasts. Dogs are only permitted on the beach between the first Sunday in November and the end of February, but dog walkers can enjoy the stunning woodland of the Pentewan Valley Trail, along with other beaches a short drive away. The coastal path passes through the village and as it climbs up the cliffside towards Mevagissey, the views across the bay toward Devon in the far distance are breath-taking. Good cycle paths pass close by and there is cycle hire available in the village. The nearby fishing village of Mevagissey offers many restaurants and fresh local fish.
