  • "We really enjoyed our week at Cribbar View."

The apartment was a real home from home. Everything was there what we needed. The apartment is spacious and the master bedroom bed we found extremely comfortable. Would recommend for exploring Newquay and surrounding areas. The plus of having a parking space was great too. The only negative we had was as the week went on the master bedroom ensuite began to smell.

  • "We enjoyed our stay, only problems were the shower, could not control the temperature, so we could only get it lukewarm, also found the mattress was too hard and didn't sleep well."

    Overall we enjoyed the break.

Many thanks for your feedback. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. A plumber has now visited and dealt with the shower issue. Best wishes. Nicola and Jason Property Owner

  • "We enjoyed a lovely stay at this lovely property, it was clean well equipped and a perfect position to walk to Newquay Town or just 5min walk to Fistral beach."

The beautiful weather meant my grandchildren were able to enjoy the stunning beach and the lovely harbour. We would return to this lovely property, Pentire is so quite and peaceful, but so close to everything you need, with beautiful headland walks for dogs. Sandra and family

  • "We had a great stay at Cribbar View."

4 adults and a dog. Plenty of space, huge main bedroom with a spacious en-suite with a bath, plus a separate family bathroom. Beds are really comfortable. Well equipped property with everything you could need, plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils, iron and ironing board. Included was a lovely cream tea, tea bags, coffee, washing up liquid, liquid hand soap, kitchen roll, a loo roll in each bathroom, dishwasher tablets, dish cloth and tea towels. The wifi was great. The view of the sea and beach from the balcony is fantastic and was an added bonus. We walked to the beach and into town so didn’t need to use the car much. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

  • "The property is in a great location but has been well used could do with a freshen up some smell of drains when arriving every time."

Lovely touch with the arrival package Great stay

Thanks for your comments. We are so pleased to hear that you had a great stay. The apartment is having a major investment at the end of this month which includes an upgraded kitchen, redecorating and new flooring. We work hard to ensure the apartment is cleaned to the highest standards and will immediately look into the drains matter you mention. Best wishes. Jason and Nicola. Property Owner

Lots of little added touches which I feel were nice as a welcome to the apartment. Jason(the owner) was extremely helpful and easy to get hold of if needed.

  • "Lovely apartment with everything you need and a fantastic location for Fistral Beach."

In a nice quiet location. But close enough for the town centre. Cream Tea on arrival was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated after a 7 hour drive. Had a minor issue with the oven and the owner was extremely helpful and the problem was fixed within a day. Would definitely stay in this apartment again.

  • "We had a lovely week , the property is very roomy and in a great location if just want to be that bit out the way but also not too far away from the hub of Newquay."

We were there the week of extreme heat and as the property is at the top of the building it was very very warm as heat rises! But as the weather cooled it was fine. We did struggle with the key safe - it has an ‘X’ marked on the top which may be a good idea to add to your information as would make it much easier to know for sure that’s the one !

  • "Really lovely property but the directions could be clearer."

If the directions said 'turn right after the Pentire Hotel into Camullas way and then right again into the Spinnacker rear carpark'.....it would have helped tremendously! Also, things like the salt and pepper mills were empty, no hairdryer, just little things but things we would expect.

Only down side it is on the 3rd floor and the lift only goes to the 2nd floor so you have a flight of stairs to go up I would stay here again but it would have to be out of season in the summer it is to expensive.

  • "On the plus side, this is a modern, clean and broadly well equipped property with some thoughtful furnishing etc touches which help to make it feel like a home from home."

On the negative side, the WiFi was very slow and at evening peak usage times frequently non-existent (confirmed by the router flashing orange to indicate no internet connection). I do not think it acceptable today to advertise WiFi when its download speed varies between 0 and 2 Mbps. The seating in the lounge comprised a settee big enough for three people, an armchair, a foot stool and a bean bag. It is advertised as sleeping six people. I would not entertain trying to sit six people on that furniture - personally I would not book it for four people. There were just two of us and so it was OK. Whilst crockery, cutlery, etc. provisions were excellent, other niceties were lacking. I think this is the only property I can recall renting where a pint of milk was not provided. There was only enough liquid soap in the two bathrooms to last overnight. No tea towel was provided which is necessary even when there is a dishwasher and again has always been provided in every property I have ever booked in the past. For a 10 out of 10 rating from me, these small items would need to be provided, broadband speed increased to at least 20 Mbps and the property advertised for four, not six, people.

Thanks for your comments. I was sorry to read that items like milk and a tea towel weren't provided. They should have been and I have raised this with the cleaning company. The wi-fi is being upgraded to superfast. It has only been possible to do so recently due to the local network. We regularly have up to 6 guests staying without any issues. Indeed, most guests comment on the spaciousness (over 1,000 sq ft, 2 large bathrooms). We always recommend that the customer calls us if there is anything untoward. Property Owner

The property

Superbly located in Pentire, one mile and a pleasant walk into Newquay town centre, this spacious luxury apartment is set on the third floor in a small, well-maintained exclusive development close to the headland and overlooking famous Fistral Beach.

Enter the apartment into the hallway, taking you past the bedrooms and bathroom into the open-plan living room.

A large sofa and chair will allow everybody to sit around together and reflect on your day whilst gazing out to sea.

From here you can go straight out onto the balcony where stunning, far-reaching views can be enjoyed right over the Atlantic Ocean and down the coast to Trevose Head lighthouse.

There are two bedrooms; one has a king-size bed and an en-suite with a bath and rainfall shower as well as the luxury of a changing room.

The twin bedroom is located opposite the family bathroom.

With breath-taking coastal walking right from the door, walkers will be spoilt for choice.

Here you will be rewarded with 360 degree views, in particular down to Crantock Beach and the Gannel Estuary.

Whilst on the headland, a visit to Lewinnick Lodge is highly recommended, where food is served all day from a full Cornish breakfast, through to lunch where the main menu is served until late. The opportunity of enjoying excellent, locally sourced food and locally brewed ales or a cream tea is something that people travel a long way to experience.

A stay at Cribbar View will allow you to make it your 'regular' being only a 10 minute walk away.

The apartment is also only a short walk from the Quicksilver Surf School.

Newquay, with its attractions and facilities is close by and will offer something for all whatever the weather, making a stay here memorable whatever time of year.
