  • "We had an amazing break staying at Endless Summer."

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for a lovely holiday. The location was perfect for walking the dogs and accessing all the local beaches. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

That’s so lovely to hear and we are so glad you had an amazing holiday . Sorry we didn’t get to say hello but we were away on our own holiday ! See you next time ☺️ Property Owner

  • "Although on the small side, the apartment was ideal for me."

Clean and well maintained. The only small concern I had was the steps to the door were quite steep and not well lit at night. However, this in no way spoiled a very enjoyable stay.

Hello Darren We are really happy you enjoyed your stay and must say we didn’t get chance to chat as you were so often out ! The two front steps do have a handrail and there is an outside light but maybe you didn’t find the switch , we will make sure it is well identified now that the nights are drawing in. See you again perhaps . Property Owner

  • "Positive: Perfect location, only minutes away from 2 beaches."

Close to the town centre. Comfortable bed and settee. Negative: Garden in patio area very much overgrown (unlike photo provided) the bathroom is separated with what I can only describe as a wardrobe door, therefore not much privacy when going to the toilet. Also no vent/fan in bathroom.

Hi Lisa glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking time to leave a review . The garden has certainly flourished since the photos were taken some years ago but it is advertised as a courtyard which is tidy and private for your use, as there is no access onto the main road we like to keep the top part of the garden as a wildlife corridor for the bees, birds and butterflies . There is infact a fan above the shower in the ensuite and the ensuite door matches other internal doors but we could take a look at changing those in the future . Property Owner

  • "Just stayed here for a week."

There was a few problems on arrival: 1: there was cobwebs and spiders in the bedroom, bathroom and living kitchen area 2: ants on the floor in the kitchen area 3: the patio area was very over grown (nothing like the pictures shown) 4: there is a cat which is not mentioned in the description. (Our dog doesn't like cats) When we knocked on the door and mentioned these problems to the owner we were told the patio area is a wildlife one and the weeds are too much to maintain, there shouldn't be cobwebs as she had just spent three hours cleaning the property, the birds like eating the ants and she couldn't do much about the cat other than say he doesn't go in the patio area so wouldn't be a problem. ( The cat does go in the patio area as we found out one morning when we took out dog in luckily on a lead) The owner could tell we wasn't happy and went and got the hoover to suck the cobwebs up, put any powder down outside and starting trimming the over grown patio area. The owner also said over the weekend her husband would mow to make a path for us, it never got done. We couldn't sit outside or let our dog off the lead due to it being so over grown or our dog chasing the cat. One thing about the description that is right is it's in a good location, easy access to crantock beach and fistral beach.

Hello Melissa and thank you for taking the time to leave a review . Whilst I’m glad you were happy when I hoovered up the spider that you saw as I said at the time I could not see any ants at all inside the property . The courtyard garden has been enjoyed by all our guests this year and was clear enough for you and your dog to use. As a nature lover and wildlife gardener I do not use any toxic weed killers or poisons and as I explained I leave the hedges to grow for privacy and enjoy the wildflowers that feed the birds , bees and butterflies just as we use and provide only eco friendly cleaning products in the property . No pathway is mown from the courtyard as there is no access through the locked gate at the end onto the main road for safety and security reasons . Our cat and our neighbours cats are very used to all the dogs that visit us but if your dog is unsociable with cats then perhaps enquire before you stay somewhere again . For our part we were pleased that you had a sunny week and enjoyed the location but disappointed with the amount of unbagged and rotting food rubbish that you left behind and the fact that you failed to use the recycling facilities provided for any of your waste. Very comfortable and warm and good quality bedding, towels etc. Would have liked a welcome pack...ie attractions, etc. A little pouffe would be ideal too. Well equipped kitchen with nice pots and cutlery but would have liked another small baking tray. It was nice to have cleaning products, hand soap etc. I understand the house is for sale but if the rental stays, I suggest a little paint spruce up in the bathroom. On the whole a very pleasant stay for a reasonable price. Many thanks to the owners.

  • "Great location, within waking distance to the beach."

The place was really clean. I’d alerted the owners to there being no oven gloves and fish slice and the next day both were provided for us. Both us and our dog were made to feel very welcome. And the enclosed garden space just for us to use was brilliant for our dog The owners also offered their garage to store our sports equipment. The place has a generous parking space off road with loads of room for our van. The wifi was intermittent, so I wouldn’t recommend if you needed to work from the accommodation. It would be great if there was a vacuum cleaner availble as we took our dog to the beach a lot and the place got quite sandy. The only warning to other guests is the bathroom door. There are gaps in the slats of the doors which doesn’t give much privacy. It wasn’t a problem for us, but I wouldn’t have liked it if I was in a new relationship!

Thank you for your positive response and we are glad you enjoyed your holiday . We will look to add a small vacuum cleaner . The louvre doors in the property are in keeping with the beach theme and haven’t presented as an issue previously but we note what you say ! Property Owner

It is in a fantastic position between Fistral Beach and the Gannel both no more than about 10 minutes walk away. The property is small and cosy. It is tastefully decorated with most equipment you might require during your stay. (There have been complaints there’s no dish washer but we did not find this a problem) The bed and sofa are very comfortable. Outside there is a garden for your use where, depending on weather, you can sit while your doggy companion has a good mooch around. Johanna and Graham are excellent hosts and are available if you have any problems.

  • "Our first impression on entering the property was the warm and cosy atmosphere, then the cleanliness of the accommodation was faultless."

Everything we required was available for use. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Endless Summer was central for our needs to spend time exploring Cornwall with our 2 German Shepherds and we certainly did plenty of that. If we were going to holiday in the area again we would certainly like to re-book for another stay there. If there was anything to complain about I guess it was not being able to get to grips with the TV and we were unable to find the TV listings. However, we could have spoken to the owners but we managed with what we could find so not really a complaint.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay, not sure where the tv listings have gone so have ordered a new remote control and thank you for highlighting this issue. Property Owner

The owners were lovely and welcoming, just next door. The location was just right for us with walks to the headland overlooking Crantock Bay and Lenwinnick Lodge where they do meals and drinks, looking over the coast towards Newquay. If you are very disabled the steps up to the front door you may find difficult, this is not criticism, just thought I'd mention if you're thinking of booking. Otherwise absolutely PERFECT. We had a really lovely week at the property and would definitely recommend. Thank you

So good to hear you had a great stay at Endless Summer and thank you for your valued feedback. We are finding it hard to get a mattress that pleases all our guests as some like it soft and some like it hard, it is brand new and we hope it pleases most! But our main disappointment was the cheap metal bed and very uncomfortable mattress so much so we left two days early

Hello we were surprised to learn that you found the mattress uncomfortable and we would have course attended to this immediately but understood from you that you left early due to the cool and wet unseasonal summer weather. The bed now has a brand new mattress with memory foam topper. We hope you enjoy the rest of your summer holidays with your gorgeous dog and we would love for you to visit us again. Kind regards. • "I booked this staycation as a treat for my Daughter and my grandson."

On arrival to the property it became clear there were no laundry facilities on site to wash clothing during their stay and I was told by the owners a launderette would have to be used which was a 15 minute walk from the property and with it being a self catering property with no onsite laundry facilities this was strange. Also having to make regular trips to launder wet water gear and towels used for the beach regularly was not ideal and caused more expense as well as taking time throughout the stay which is far from ideal. There is also no way of drying wetsuits after use in the sea as no outside hanging space. Also an iron was provided in the property but no ironing board to use with it? Also with regular trips to the beach throughout the stay and no vacuum in the property to clear up sand debris off footwear was a nuisance with just the use of a dust pan and brush. You would have to ensure you have plenty of extra beach towels and clothing to last during your stay if you wish to not use a local launderette during your stay. Also no dishwasher so the facilities provided are pretty basic which does not reflect well in the rental cost per week. Fabulous location and great heating but the other factors I’ve mentioned were a huge let down and I feel it should be made known in the property details about the lack of laundry facilities onsite and cleaning facilities to keep the property tidy during a stay here. Otherwise it’s in a great location.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review following your stay and I am pleased you found Endless Summer ideally located, comfortable and warm . The property is not advertised or priced accordingly to include a washing machine or dishwasher . However there is a rotary washing line that can be used to dry wet suits, towels and swim wear and an ironing board has now been added for future guests use and of course if washing is urgent then we are more than happy to facilitate . I don't think we would book again if we wanted to return to Newquay though as it was quite expensive for basically being in the owner's converted garage for the week. The view from the shared garden was amazing and we love the Pentire part of Newquay which is really close to Fistral Beach, the Lewinnick Lodge and for walks along the Gannel Estuary and over to Crantock.
