  • "A lovely spacious apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay."

Modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped should you want to cook there although we didn't cook as there is a super cafe overlooking The Gannel (Fern Pit Cafe) just around the corner that does a great breakfast, lunch and evening meal plus the very impressive Lewinnick Hotel a five minute walk away that also does great food with fabulous views thrown in. I cannot fault this accommodation

  • "Lovely apartment and initially we said we’d stay here again however……."

The day before we left we’d been out all day and returned to find evidence that someone had been in the apartment whilst we’d been out. ( door wasn’t locked properly, my belongings had been moved around in the bathroom and a plant that had been on a shelf was in the bath!! ) contacted Sykes who eventually got back to me to say that the owners had not given anyone else permission to enter & no one else had door keys. Now either someone is lying & it’s not us or there’s a security issue with this property. Sykes representative say they don’t know what they can do about it??? Seriously!! Needless to say we won’t return and it’s doubtful we will use Sykes again.

Dear Guest We are truly sorry you had this unfortunate experience. On the day in question there was a problem with the plumbing in the apartment which caused an alarming noise and required immediate attention. The housekeeper was notified and immediately organised a plumber to sort the problem. At the same time the housekeeper tried, however unsuccessfully, to contact you and notify you as to the urgent necessity to access the apartment prior to allowing the plumber to enter. We understand that accessing the apartment by a professional company should not have happened without your permission. It was an unlucky chain of circumstances and we understand that this may have made you feel very unsafe. Please except our apologies for this unnerving experience. We hope that this explanation will put your mind at rest. Thank you for your kind comments regarding the apartment. We hope that you will now consider staying there again. To all interested parties. Please be assured that the building and apartment is fully safe and secure. The entrance door to the building is permanently locked and the apartment itself has two locks on the door one of which is a deadlock. Best Regards, The Owners. Property Owner
