  • "Absolutely beautiful clean apartment with the most amazing views."

Loved our week there and sad to leave. Very well equipped with everything we needed. Comfy bed in main bedroom. The only down side for us was the sofas in the sitting room. Not very comfortable at all.

Hi Thanks for the feedback. The sofas are brand new so hopefully they will settle in a bit. Property Owner

  • "Our stay was unfortunately interrupted by 2 issues."

    1) The en-suite shower leaked into downstairs number 5. Apparently this had been reported before and even I could see after the complaint that the mastic and grouting looked in disrepair. 2)The next morning the hot water ran out and 1 guest had no shower. With my experience I could tell by the fault code that the pressure was too low and that needed to be increased by finding the right connections to release more water into the system to get the bars above the minimum. This resolved the issue after finding the right place. A call was still made to ensure everything was done correctly and the system safe for us and future guests. This situation should not arise and a changeover maintenance check conducted. So disappointed in these respects but fair play to Sykes the call outs and maintenance support was pretty good

You could sit in the chair and look at the view for a week it is so relaxing here, we slept like babies from the comfort and also the sea air. There’s everything you could need here from comfort to all the kitchen utensils, lovely white bedding and plenty of fresh white towels. There is one tiny thing I could mention and that is maybe WD40 the window and door hinges they’re a bit stiff. Also I should mention there’s no noise from surrounding apartments this must be a good insulated building. Thankyou for the milk, scones, jam and cream, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and bin bags you thought of everything. It was a pleasure to stay in such a beautiful place Thankyou.

Apartment was very clean and comfortable with some fantastic walks on your doorstep. Fresh scones, cream and jam was a lovely welcome and very much enjoyed. Only very minor negative comment would be that it would have been good to include hand soap for the toilets. Other than that I had everything I needed for a great stay. Will definitely return.

!!! Can't fault the place, the view is amazing the position is perfect, parking excellent the standard/quality of the apartment is very good. The pictures REALLY don't do it justice as I think someone else commented. Only negative I could say is the bedrooms face onto the road so can be noisy from passing road traffic but other than that can't find fault. Thank you to the owners for a perfect stay in a perfect apartment in a perfect location. We will be back!

  • "This apartment is really lovely and far better than the pictures show."

The settee and bean bag are really comfy but they don’t look it in the photo. The apartment was spotless & very well equipped. In a recent review someone mentioned dirty windows but when we arrived they were clean. However, following a storm the glass balcony & patio doors were covered in spray and salt but the owners have provided an electric Kartcher window cleaner so within minutes they were clean again & we could enjoy the stunning view, again the photos don’t do the view justice. Will definitely book again.

  • "The only drawback to our experience was the fact that the apartment had a very good balcony overlooking beauty full views over the beach, but we were unable to use it due to the locks to the doors were inoperable."

The lock’s handles had been damaged and no longer operated the mechanisms. As a couple with a combined age of 177 years one of which is rather short, we think a footstool would make using both the microwave and high cupboards more easily accessible also a list of local chemists, vets etc would be a helpful addition to the data provided.

Thank you for your feedback. Since your booking the doors have been checked and they are working fine. Many thanks for bringing this to our attention. Property Owner

  • "Overall, quite disappointing, given the excellent reviews on the website."

The main attraction is the view over Fistral beach. Unfortunately, the patio doors were FILTHY; clearly, they had not been cleaned for months with children's greasy finger marks including 'mum' written on the window as well as bird excrement. Ironically, all the other windows were spotless and were cleaned whilst we were there, but not the patio windows. We struggled with the heating controls - it was very difficult to get the room temperature below 25C, even at 4am at night in the bedroom! Given the energy crisis not very sensible. Some proper instructions would have been helpful, or the contact number of someone local who could help. Overall, the apartment was very well appointed; the massive collection of DVDs was excellent (particularly given that the weather was not very kind to us) the addition of some egg cups and another saucepan would have been welcomed. We did not find the (stained) settee very comfortable at all.

Hello, the windows are cleaned weekly by the housekeepers but because of the position of the property and the sea spray they do get dirty again quickly. We are sorry about this. A Karcher window cleaner was provided for other guests in response to this same problem. Property Owner

The facilities are good but it would have been helpful if there were instruction manuals for the oven and the dishwasher. We also had to seek help when trying to connect to the Internet. The information in the Helpful Holidays folder was incorrect, and needs to be updated. The hub in the bedroom was very disturbing at night with all the flashing lights. The balcony doors were difficult to open and heavy, and the balcony was dirty with cobwebs. However, we did have a lovely holiday!

There are 2 large bedrooms, 1 en-suite and a master bathroom. The main living area consists of a large kitchen, dining area, lounge and contains everything you need for your stay including WiFi, although we did have to turn the router off at night because it lit the bedroom up. A lovely touch was the scones, clotted cream and jam left for us on arrival. Great location, views and high quality equipment make this apartment easy to recommend and we would definitely return.

Very clean & tidy . We have a king size bed so this smaller bed obviously didnt feel the same but still a nice bed & only other thing I struggled with was the oven & hob I could only get 1 ring to work at first front left then after 20 minutes got back right to work after watching YouTube. So a manual on how to work cooker would help. Still give 10/10 & hi recommend it everyone who's thinking about booking it .

Kitchen had every item we could wish for, on the couple of evenings when we stayed in and cooked. Great showers - plenty of hot water at all times of the day. Nice touch of the PS3 and games & huge selection of DVD's should the weather turn rubbish. Fistral beach is 5mins walk from the apartment and if you follow the coast path along its length, you'll find three great places to eat and drink! Large covered parking space for your car with secure access straight into the building and an internal lift that will get you up to the apartment if you don't fancy the stairs. I have a few suggestions though. A week's supply of toilet paper should have been left in the cupboard, not just one roll in each bathroom, considering the price we are paying to stay there, in a hotel, loo paper is always resupplied. One of the loo seats had not been properly cleaned, I guess that was just an oversight as the rest of the flat was nearly spotless. The flat really could do with better balcony furniture, like a rattan style set, a proper table and four comfortable chairs (as it is accommodation for four) so that the outdoor space could be enjoyed more, especially in the summer. The current plastic table and two red chairs on the balcony look unsightly and spoil the view. It would also be nice if the balcony glass panels were cleaned before our arrival so we would have a clear view of the beach. We did not find the flat particularly drafty, (we had a cold NW gale blowing), the doors have to be shut fully tight, otherwise the wind will get in, actually we found the flat can get too warm!

Fabulous for families or couples.

It's just a three minute walk from the cliff access to Crantock beach and the Gannel estuary, which is accessible at low tide.

You can use the lift or the stairway to your front door which opens to an entrance hall and through to the open-plan living-dining room and kitchen area which is dominated by those views, then step through the full-length glazed doors to the balcony – wow.
