  • "As sold. Can't fault it in any way."

Great property, parking space an absolute bonus. Central location.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in the Crows nest."

The apartment was clean and comfortable and nicely decorated, with every facility you could want. Although we didn't use them, as the position of the apartment meant that we were so central to all the town offered and we were on Holiday after all. Truan was really helpful during our stay with a few queries, thank him for that. The weather was fantastic, the apartment was great. One drawback was the noise early mornings from the brewery deliveries, but we could forgive that for the ideal position and treasured parking space. Great holiday

Good morning Mrs Robinson, We are delighted you enjoyed your stay in the Crows nest and you found all the facilities met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back hopefully in the near future. Best regards Lionel Property Owner

  • "Gorgeous apartment in the centre of Mevagissey with its own parking space."

The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay and is equipped to a high standard. This certainly ticks many boxes for a great holiday. I would say the only drawbacks if there are any would be the constant noise of the seagulls and the early morning (5am) deliveries to the pub opposite. The deliveries may have been more frequent due to it being “Feast week” so yes I would absolutely recommend the Crows Nest for a wonderful holiday.

Very clean and comfortable. Worth mentioning to owner that the front door lock to the apartment is very stiff. We were worried about breaking the key. Otherwise all good.

  • "We ha d a lovely stayat the Crows Nest Mevaggissey."

The apartment is excellent. Spotless and has everything you would need. For a sel cateting holiday. It is on the top floor of a 3 story building so if you have any issues with mobility it is not for you as there is no lift. There is a parking spot which is a godsend in Mevagissey as everywhere is pay and display. The only issue we had was noise in the early morning from delivery vehicles who all park outside the the Ship Inn opposite. If you are an early riser it is not an issue. Over all it is a great place to stay and we would book it again.

  • "Lovely apartment, but it was noisy being so central I guess."

The windows didn’t shut properly which didn’t help, so that meant our sleep was interrupted with deliveries at the local pub about 6am or earlier most mornings.

  • "The apartment was very clean, well-equipped, well-located in the heart of Mevagissey with the bonus of a parking space."

A short stroll to the harbour and all amenities - including an electric car charger about 200 yds away. There was a bit of noise from late revellers and early bottle collections from the Ship Inn opposite, but not a problem for us. More drawer space for clothing would have been useful. Though the weather was not particularly hot, the quilt was unnecessarily thick for us so we removed it and slept under the quilt cover.

  • "The accommodation was as listed, although it could have done with a few basic necessities, ie dishwasher tablets."

The location was excellent. A short walk to the harbour & very central to all of the town. However the apartment is opposite a pub & it is very noisy, at chucking out time and lorries start unloading from 6am. This spoilt our stay as we didn’t get an uninterrupted nights sleep.

  • "Generally our stay was good and only a couple of things spoiled it: I had to clean out the dirty gobbet of greasy hair in the basin of the bathroom as the water would not flow away."

Not a pleasant job to start our week! Also, the advertised welcome pack of bread, butter and milk failed to materialise although there was a bottle of wine. PLEASE, if you're not going to provide this, do not say that you will.

The car parking space was good as the streets were very narrow with few parking spots. Loads to do within 30 minute drive including : lost gardens of heligan and the Eden project.

  • "Lovely apartment and spotlessly clean."

Two bathrooms were a luxury! The bed was extremely comfortable too. I've opted for five stars for Facilities, although I wouldn't have expected to have to take dishwasher tablets and dish/cleaning cloths and if you're arriving late, remember to take the makings for a cuppa - Louise did say that they'd been advised not to provide these items, although the wine went down very well! The property was available several hours before the reported time, which was great. The only thing which could have been better was the relentless rain, but I guess we can't book that via the Sykes website!

  • "It's a beautiful apartment, the decor is lovely and fresh, the shower and bathroom were very clean."

The kitchen area is great with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. The only things we missed were a coat rack and clothes airer. We'd got some thick winter coats and waterproofs. There's not really much hanging space in the bedroom to use that area for coats. Maybe put a coat rack on the back of the door in the tank cupboard so it's out the way. Which we kind of did because that's where we put our coats for the week just on the shelves, also that door handle sticks so we never properly closed it. You could also do with it's own drying rack, we borrowed one that was in the hallway downstairs (we weren't sure if it was communal) so I could put some washing out to dry. The welcome pack and the wine was a lovely treat, thank you. The parking space was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family.

  • "Lovely apartment, I would suggest a check list for the cleaner to ensure all equipment are clean for next tenants."

The oven was left with the grill dirty, tray covered with foil and fat over it. We came upon this on the Tuesday, 3 days into our holiday and due to Covid 19 we did not want to call Sykes to ask for it to be cleaned so left it and used microwave and takeaways instead, not a major deal for us as did not intend to cook meals. But a check list may help avoid this. Otherwise a great location in a majestic harbour village right on the edge of the fantastic southwest coastal path. Thank you. Hazel

Handy for all local amenities, pubs, restaurants and amazing walks. Only two recommendations 1) a clothes horse or airier in our climate you can guarantee rain and wet clothes!! 2) hooks on back of doors for hanging coats or a coat rack.
