  • "We loved staying at the cottage."

It is beautifully furnished, well equipped and provides a wonderful base for exploring this area of Cornwall. Wonderful walks on the coast and inland. Great restaurants in walking distance too. Port Isaac remains a gem of a place and staying at the cottage really added to the experience. A visitor book would be a nice touch to share guest suggestions.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay and had the perfect base to explore the local area from. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Please Note: this was our 5th stay at Crows Nest before you read on."

We love Crows Nest. It really is a hidden gem within Port Isaac. However this time there was just a few minor complaints. The amount of cobwebs and spiders are really mounting up inside the house. We have been there 3 times this year and some of these cobwebs were there throughout the year. I’m not talking about hard to reach places either. We also noticed that some of the dishes and plates were a little grubby on arrival. A problem we had this time also was that when we arrived, the bins outside were full with nappy’s and dog waste. This is not the fault of the property however as it sits adjacent to a public footpath where I’m guessing people walking past have just used them instead of the council bins around the village it was within the busy season and I understand this does happen due to some people who have no respect. As we had nowhere to put our rubbish for the week, I had to make a trip to the nearest household waste centre which wasn’t ideal. We still enjoyed our stay and we still love the cottage. Just a shame about those few issues. We will be back again next year.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We're very sorry that you had to experience these issues during your visit but thank you for bringing them to our attention. Your comments have been discussed between the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and the owner. We wish you informed us during your stay as we could have resolved these issues for you! • "The Crows Nest was a beautiful and comfortable cottage."

The decor and furnishings were of a very high spec and the cottage was stocked with everything you could ever need for a holiday. Crow's Nest was located perfectly for a short walk in to Port Isaac and the ability to enjoy the surrounding area. The cottage was perfect for our week's holiday with plenty of space inside and out. I would highly recommend Crow's Nest.

  • "A great cottage with a well designed interior."

All items, furniture and colours fit well together a offer a warm and cosy place. The kitchen was very well equipped and the direct access to the garden makes it worth to enjoy breakfast outside (if no rain...). Everything is well thought and coordinated. We felt very welcome and enjoyed it. Price and performance fit doubtless together. Thank you very much - again. Improvement: -may be some more pads for dishwasher machine would be helpful and the sign (Crow`s Nest) for the dedicated parking lot up hill was almost unreadable (should get renewed).

  • "Although the property is finished to a high standard, it does have some issues."

No property instructions on how to operate items in the cottage. Although it looked clean on arrival as you begin your stay it becomes apparent it’s just a quick turn around, many cob webs dirty windows and as you approach the cottage there is debris around the front door… If you’re infirm or elderly both the cottage and parking will be an issue. Most places offer a welcome pack which is a nice touch, expect nothing here. We left two days early not for us and certainly wouldn’t recommend.

  • "Really lovely cottage, high end finishes, which we really appreciated."

My one comet would be that it really could use a 'Welcome Pack', internet is a bit hit and miss but we are not a techy family so would rather arrive at destination and read some info. The cottage itself was so lovely, we really did feel spoilt- but info on one time local restaurants closed would have been really useful. Loved the books in the cottage, learned a lot about the area, all in all it were our first holiday since losing our 10 year old Lab, Charlie (who always came on holiday wth us) we loved it and had a lovely stay

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are all sorry for the loss of your much-loved dog Charlie, we hope to welcome you back soon. Property Owner

  • "The property was lovely."

Very well equipped . The patio area needs maintenance and when we arrived the patio was filthy - absolutely covered in seagull excrement over the tables too - including a dead rotten pigeon which absolutely stank and hadn’t been cleared up. We spent over an hour scrubbing the patio. It would be great if all areas were checked before guests checked in and we’ll maintained

Thank you for leaving your feedback following your stay at Crow’s Nest, it is great to hear that you enjoyed the property. I have passed your feedback onto our caretaking team they are going to ensure the issues raised are followed up with our property checkers, I can only apologise that this hadn’t been cleaned up before your arrival. – John Bray Cornish Holiday’s on behalf of the owners. • "Lovely property, quirky, cosy, well equipped and well located."

Quality furnishings and facilities. Only a couple of minor gripes 1. Upstairs shower rainfall shower head didn't function. 2. Garden area was unusable due to condition of furniture and "crazy" paving, both in need of updating and cleaning of gull poop. Outdoor BBQ might have been nice also. That said we didn't intend to use the garden as the cottage location was so close to harbour that we had no desire to use garden. Overall, a really nice place and great location.

The standard of the furnishings, decor and equipment was excellent and very stylish. The garden was perfect for dining, and having dedicated parking just up the road was a real bonus. Our only problem was with using some of the tech in the house, so a few more instructions would be good, however we would definitely book again if going back to Port Isaac.
