The location is great as it's close to the centre of Port Isaac without having the vehicle and pedestrian traffic going past. The views are fantastic - we were blessed by a week of sunny weather so we're able to enjoy the terrace and garden fully. The property is spacious and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "This holiday bungalow is simply gorgeous."

The pictures they put up for the view of Port Isaac don’t do it justice. The property is of a high standard throughout. It’s a short walk 2 minute walk to Coop. 5 minute walk into port Isaac. There’s also a children’s play area and a dog walking area 3 minutes walk away. There’s also a cute little coffee shop at the park.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay so much and managed to enjoy all it has to offer! We would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Amazing location and very comfortable stay."

It’s a fabulous house and the view is exceptional. Only slight gripe is that the kitchen was pretty sparsely equipped - could do with more of everything (Only 5 wine glasses when it sleeps 6) - and cooking / food preparation utensils were rather thin on the ground or missing (eg no peeler). A tumble drier would also be an excellent addition.

Thank you so much for your kind words. It's great to hear that you had such a fabulous stay and had the perfect base to explore the local area from. We are working with the owner to top up glasses/utensils etc. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Only issues were A) the feather filled cushions on the sofas, we kept getting pricked by them and B) bed pillows were so flat and lifeless, we bought our own from a nearby Tescos. Otherwise fantastic! Thanks

  • "No wardrobes at all 3 coat hangers in each bedroom on 3 pegs out of the wall not good for 2 weeks holiday."

Sofa very low I couldn't get off it had to sit on dining room chair for 2 weeks. Got asked to clean when we left no cleaning stuff apart from old dirty mop. No welcome pack after travelling for 12 hours to come in to nothing apart from 3 dishwasher tablets and 2 disposable clothes not what we expected from a cottage costing what it does. But the view was fantastic

Thankyou for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had issues the sofa being too low for you. We have had no other comments from guests on this one so it seems odd but this sounds like a personal preference! There are three pegs and hangers per room, hooks on the back of bedroom doors, a chest of drawers per room and a generous hanging cupboard in the hall. Our properties are self catering so we give you a starter pack for dishwasher tablets etc and then it is down to guests to sort the rest. All feedback is appreciated and can be seen by the owners. • "We had a lovely stay here."

The property was spacious in the perfect spot within easy walking distance to Port Issac and Port Gaverne. There were just a couple of niggles with the property one being the cleanliness.I do not think it had been cleaned before we arrived although beds were changed and clean towels provided. There was a lot of dust about especially in the bathrooms. The garden was very steep and not well maintained we luckily did not have young children with us as I do not think it would be suitable for them maybe even quite dangerous. The pavings were not level and clearly there had been no work done there for a while. We enjoyed our time here but would not return to this property.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays and to the owner. • "Beautiful property, spacious and well equiped."

Could not fault the standard of cleanliness. However, there were a few problems: The heating was sporadic, never knew what time it would come on - Monday it came on at 21:30!!! A welcome pack would have been a nice touch particularly after traveling four and a half hours. Wednesday just after 9 am thee men apeared in the garden and started leafblowing, jetwashing the steps and patio and weeding - luckily we were up and had planned to be out for the day. Pre warning would have been nice!! A visitors book would be useful so that guest could share their experiences, excursions and dining recommendations whilst staying in this fabulous area of north Cornwall. Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. The issue with the heating is odd as it is on a timer and should come on way before 9.30! Our apologies for the gardeners turning up unannounced. We do make them aware of the changeover days but sadly when they carry out the work is beyond our direct control. Only criticism is that it would have been nice to have a few logs supplied for at least when you arrive so you can light the fire. Apart from that the property was great.

Thankyou so much for your feedback. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! As our properties are of a self catering nature. We do not provide logs and such but we understand the frustration. • "Overall our stay was a pleasant experience."

The bungalow is in a great location, with wonderful views over Port Isaac harbour. Spacious, clean & comfortable, the utility room was especially useful as we were there for the 2nd half of a 2 week break. We did, however, have a few niggles. It's a pity that the exterior of the bungalow doesn't match the standard of the interior. We were disappointed on arrival at it's quite shabby (compared to photos) appearance, so it was a relief that inside lived up to expectations. In October, generally, the weather begins to cool down, especially in the evening. In the first few days, it was a surprise that we were unable to have any control over heat from either radiators or towel rails...towels had to be dried on the electric airer in the utility. After a visit to the local office & a maintenance man being sent around (while we were out), we had what appeared to be sporadic heat in the towel rails, though still not in our control. . The radiators never came on. If this was due to the thermostat, it needs to be said that the temperature in the living area was considerably lower than in the internal hall where it is positioned. The wood burner is of no use as an additional source of heat unless actual logs are used as well as the small amount of kindling...or were we supposed to provide them? The info said fuel was provided. Luckily, for the last few days we had a very unseasonable heat wave, so the lack of heating wasn't a problem, but the point is still valid that the control of the heating remotely is not ideal Lastly, 3 dishwasher tablets for a 7 day stay? Three quarters of a toilet roll in the ensuite ? Really?? At over £800 for the week, on the mean side to say the least!

Thank you for taking the time to feedback on your stay and raising these concerns with us. Since your departure we have reviewed these issues, and all have now been sorted! Our apologies for the confusion regarding the provision of logs, ‘fuel’ relates to electricity and gas etc. As a self-catering holiday, guests need to provide their own logs. On that note, due to the self-catering nature of our properties, we provide a starting measure of dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls etc. for our guests’ first night or so. Once again, our apologies if this was not communicated to you. Once again, these have been fixed/cleared on the site so these will not be a problem going forward. The house is spacious and well equipped with an outdoor terrace offering amazing views of the ocean and the port. A great base to explore the many stunning beaches of North Cornwall. The only thing we could have done with during our stay was a tumble dryer. We had torrential rain on our first day so everything was soaked and took days to dry as there was only an air dryer in utility room which didn't seem to be very effective.
