  • "It was all perfect - we were so glad if the bedding and towels."

The only issue was the very dirty windows, which made it feel a bit shabby/unclean. We appreciate the weather in Port Isaac, but these really did need a good clean to see out of. Otherwise, all good. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your comments. We love hearing just how much you enjoyed your stay! Hopefully we can welcome you back anytime in the future. We will see what we can do with the windows. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

Tap in bathroom broken so hot water just a trickle Shower thermostat not working so scalding or cold Nicely newly painted interior but windows painted shut Outside windows dirty and bench neglected We agree that the old lock should be kept but needs repair as annoyingly difficult to use Location fantastic and cottage charming More TLC needed and things like bin bags and extra lol rolls provided

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays. With the shower, as long as there are no other demands on the water and it is kept on eco in the middle. It should be fine. We hope you still managed to enjoy your visit despite these issues and would love to welcome you back to North Cornwall in the future. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Nestled in the charming, coastal, Cornish village of Port Isaac is Honey Cottage.

This characterful cottage boasts a fantastic location in Port Isaac which is easily recognisable as the setting of Doc Martin, the cottage itself featured heavily in an episode of the TV show!

It also benefits from both the stunning coastline and easy access to the countryside, a close location to the village’s amenities and a welcoming interior adorned with exposed beams and parquet flooring; the perfect setting for families or friends looking to explore the wonders of Cornwall.

Make your way into your new home-from-home and head straight into the fully-equipped kitchen where you can rustle up tasty meals that the whole family can enjoy around the dining table.

Tuck into this delicious meal and raise a toast to your getaway before unwinding on the plush sofas in front of the smart 4k TV or spark up competition with the collection of games available.

When the evening draws to a close, follow the stairs to the first floor where you can wash off the day’s adventures in the shower room before sloping off to sleep in either of the two double bedrooms or the single room.

During the day, take a short walk to Port Gaverne Beach where you can soak up the sun, admire the stunning views across the azure, explore the surrounding caves or take to the open water on paddle boards or kayaks.

Later, fans of Doc Martin, can explore iconic filming locations like Doyden Castle, the Golden Lion Pub, Louisa’s home on Fore Street or the windswept Bodmin Moor.

Follow the coast to find other iconic coastal village including Polzeath with its beautiful beach, Padstow housing the National Lobster Hatchery and picturesque harbour and Newquay which is famed for its surfing opportunities, exotic zoo and family-friendly aquarium.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
