Take the short drive over to Polzeath, well-known for its family-friendly beach with glorious golden sands stretching for miles, here you can sunbathe with your favourite book, paddle the shores or take to the waters and try your hand at the local favourite watersport, surfing.
Just off the beach is the popular Oystercatcher pub, where you can treat your loved ones to a flavourful meal on the picturesque beach-view terrace.
Just a little further is Rock, where you can explore the waters of the River Camel via water skiing, test out your clubs at the historic St Enodoc Golf Club or catch a ferry over to Padstow, where you will find the National Lobster Hatchery, the Camel cycling Trail and the lavish 16th-century Prideaux Place.
