  • "Actually great accommodation, great location, great garden for the dogs, ..."

Actually great accommodation, great location, great garden for the dogs, however there is a MMB major stumbling block with this property, "the shower" which is far too small, nowhere for toiletries whilst using the shower & it is near impossible to bend to get items off the floor, a walk in shower would be much better , and this property would certainly benefit from another toilet, even if it was outside, also a full length mirror would be helpful

Thank you for the review, We take feedback on board, we have now put shelves in the shower for guests products etc. In the future another bathroom is the plan, The property is newly renovated. So still learning and happy to take any feedback on board. So glad you had a lovely stay. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay, the house was very comfortable and clean, the utensils were a bit minimal but was fine."

It wasn’t very clear about the recycling as there was only a black bin which said general waste. Liked the fact that the back garden was enclosed which made us feel comfortable with our two dogs going in the garden only thing I would recommend is an outside light as it’s very dark when we let our dogs out there at night. It overall very nice stay would be happy to stay again sometime in the future, thank you for the cream teas very welcoming. Angela Paul and our two dogs Gibbie and Daisy

Thank you for your feedback, We will check the welcome file inside the property to make sure the instructions for waste is clear, I do apologies. There is an outdoor light, the switch is the big white switch, just under the kitchen light switches. We have learnt from your feedback and will put a little sign up so no one else has this problem. I am sorry this was not communicated to you during your stay. However I am glad you had a great stay and look forward to welcoming you again Property Owner

About the location

ST COLUMB MINOR

Porth 1 mile; Newquay 1.6 miles; Truro 14 miles.

St Columb Minor is a quiet village off the main road into Newquay, with a supermarket and an excellent local pub, the Farmers Arms. Here, apart from being well-known for their food and local ales, a varied range of weekly events prove most popular. Opposite the pub, is the magnificent village church, dating from around 1430, and the high tower has been a landmark for generations of fishermen. There are many lovely beaches on offer in Newquay that you will be spoilt for choice but, for families, Porth beach takes some beating. A lovely sandy beach with a sheltered aspect being protected by headlands on both sides, it has been a favourite with those in the know for many years. Just over a mile away is the town of Newquay which is known as the home of the UK’s surf scene, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a watersports paradise!
