  • "Recently returned from chi am mor ."

property was as advertised in a fabulous location , with short walks / drives to many beautiful beaches , which is exactly what we wanted . House was clean and tidy on arrival , it was well equipped with most utensils and there was some lovely little extras like . nice loaf of fresh bread , some milk , lovely scones , jam and clotted cream which was all yummy , and a couple of treats for our little dog . there was also a bottle of washing up liquid which was all well received.( thank you very much) The master bed which was 2 beds zipped together was very comfortable and quite spacious ( we both slept like a log ) . overall we had a lovely stay in a house which was in a fabulous location . There was a few minor negatives , which we would not want , to put anybody off booking this property . there was no hammock in garden , which we would not have used so did not bother us and there was no barbeque which we would have used but to be honest was no inconvenience . but would advise this is pointed out to other potential renters . The wood burning hot tub was nice , but needed too much baby sitting and attention on this point and this point only we would probable not return , as we prefer a convectional hot tub , ( as with a hot tub . you would return from a nice day out , put some bathers on and just have to jump in and relax , with a glass of wine ) . instead of having to light a fire and wait for a couple of hours . We would like to finish on a high as the property is very nice and in a stunning location , the couple of minor negatives in no way spoilt our holiday we still had a ball .

They were obviously taken years ago. Property needs a good clean, hot tub dirty with hairs and dead bugs. Hammock broken. Wouldn't go again and Wouldn't recommend. Was offered 20% off any future visits ( not that we would ever go back). My daughter was so upset about the hot tub. We had to sweep and mop before we could try and enjoy our holiday. Paid £1200 to clean someone's dirty house. Not at all impressed

Dear Mrs Fisher, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that our property did not meet your standards. We, at Chi An Mor pride ourselves on having the highest standards and have a fantastic change over team that maintain the property. We were made aware of your reported issues after the fourth day of your stay and my changeover team were at the property within an hour to rectify any issues. Upon inspection of the hot tub, there was no obvious signs of dirt, however my team offered to empty, clean and change the water in the tub for you. The hot tub is always thoroughly cleaned by a hot tub specialist for every change over, filled with fresh water and treated. Unfortunately, we can not completely mitigate the risk of an insect landing on the water. We apologise for the inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused. We thank you again for your feedback and wish you all the best. Property Owner

a dressing table would of been nice in the double bedroom. A log fire but no logs! a log fired hot tub but again no logs, a washing line no pegs! etc. The outside furniture was definitely past its best, no table and chairs for outside, the BBQ was completely rusty we didn't use this or the hot tub. Just a few improvements would make this holiday home more appealing.

However it could have done with a deeper clean as there were multiple cobwebs on corners of all the rooms. I was also disappointed to have to put away the dishes from the previous stay. The kettle and toaster could do with a bit of an upgrade as the toaster on the highest setting took about 2 goes to get even mildly toasted toast.

Thank you for the feedback. We are extremely disappointed to hear of the cobwebs found and I have passed on to the changeover team. I can only apologise and also dishes in the dishwasher should not have been left so this I can only assume was an oversight from our cleaners. We will look at replacing the toaster. Thank you for the feedback and despite the minor issues, we hope you had a lovely holiday. Regards Ian & Claire Property Owner

Owners went above and beyond as it was my ‘special’ birthday, my friend had sent a banner and it was on the wall when we got there, the housekeeper organised flowers from hubby and prosecco from the owners. The sunsets are amazing from the living room, beds comfortable, lots of games if weather not good, games room and hot tub had limited use because we had fabulous weather but we found hot tub hot enough after a couple of hours. Within 5 miles lots of great beaches, country pubs and walks, we have already booked again for next year!

House was beautifully decorated with original art by owner and was very comfortable including the beds. Everything that is shown and described online and more! The welcome pack was such a nice gesture. Fresh bread, milk, jam, clotted cream and scones aswell as the wood etc. Fresh white fluffy towels provided and all of the bed linen was fresh, clean, white and comfortable. Plenty cleaning equipment and a clothes maiden aswell as an iron and board. The bar and beach are so close. It has quite a steep hill which may prove difficult for some but we managed just fine and had our beach trolly with us too. We visited new beaches every day all of which were only a short drive and Newquay town centre isn’t far to drive and has plenty parking. It’s well equipped with everything you could need and had sugar, sweeteners, salt, pepper etc already there. The decor is beautiful with some amazing pieces of artwork by the property owner on display. I don’t have pets myself and even though the property allows pets there was no sign of them at all. It was absolutely spotless and did not smell of pets at all. I read the reviews about the hot tub and really don’t understand the issue. We had it lit every night with no problems at all. The views whilst sat in it are fantastic.

  • "Chi An Mor is a beautiful bungalow with great views over Porth Beach ."

We had a great week , The hot tub is useless , we tried to light it twice but gave up in the end which was disappointing as I booked this rental because it had a hot tub . Garden is nice and spacious for dogs to run around although it is overlooked from neighbours at the back and we did feel a little on show . Garden chair covers could do with a wash . Didn’t use the BBQ as no table in the garden to eat at . The Bungalow could do with blinds up in the kitchen and the garden room as when you are sat on sofa people can see straight in to the sitting room . Chi An Mor would benefit from more seats in the sitting room as there is a huge space unused . We thought that it could have been cleaner too ! Cobwebs in the bathroom , sofa not vacuumed (dogs hairs all under cushions )dust underneath sofa . Back Door needs a good wash and so do all the window frames and Patio Door frames . The welcome pack for our dogs was much appreciated (toys and treats) The human welcome pack of scones , Jam & Cream and a loaf of bread was a lovely thought ,a pint of milk would have made it just perfect . We didn’t use the oven only the hob which was great . Plenty of utensils but could do with extra cups plates and cutlery as we were forever washing them up . There is a washing line in the garden but only 3 pegs . A hose pipe which was great for cleaning our doggies . Shower was great and lovely soft towels . The few things I’ve mentioned did not spoil our holiday .. we had a great time . Thank you Chi An Mor for the memories .

! The house layout was perfect, all the facilities were 100%. Small things were provided too which helped massively from bin bags, to washing tablets, dishwasher tablets, cooking oil and salt & pepper. The view of porth beach from the living room window and hot tub was amazing, especially at sunset. If I had to pick at anything it would be that maybe more fire wood should be provided for the hottub as you only get enough for 1 use but we were able to buy more (£8.50 a bag at logs n coal....a 10 minute drive away). Other than that this house was perfect for our family of 4 plus dog as the garden is more than big enough and nice snd enclosed. We will be back 100%.

Beds a little uncomfortable but that's personal preference. Plenty of space, fantastic for kids as its all one level. The garden is a little steep but we had good use of it. Wood, kindle and firelighters are all supplied, checked on the fire for the hot tub every half hour and mixed the water around, took around 3 hours for hot tub to heat and very worth it! The log burner inside is also very cosy, heats the house up really well. Loved the games room, played ping pong and pool and there’s also a cupboard full of board games in utility. Great size tv and comfy sofa in living room and also has a fancy swinging chair. Clean towels and linen are all provided. Really cannot find anything to complain about at all. Very close to a nice beach and pub and all the shops in Newquay. The sea view from the garden is gorgeous.
