  • "All equipment worked well."

    The house is clean and beds comfortable. Beautiful views from upstairs windows. The outside needs attention and is not as good as shown in the photos. Some of the crockery is scratched and should be replaced; an otherwise well equipped kitchen.

We've been waiting a year for this to be done but the weather frustrated the decorators. We are also having the balcony rebuilt at the end of the season.   • "Disappointed with lack of toilet roll only two half rolls for whole week had to buy our own!"

    ! Property is listed for six people so two half rolls would be totally inappropriate. Also extremely noisy central heating boiler kept us awake most of stay so didn’t get much sleep. Wouldn’t stay again or recommend sorry. On the positive side property was clean and tidy .

    Thank you for providing us with feedback from your stay at Slipway 15. All of our properties are self-catering and we supply one loo roll per toilet as a starter. Our maintenance team have investigated the noise and found that the immersion heater that can be used to boost the hot water had been left on overnight which was the cause of the disturbance.   • "A lovely property."

    We loved it from the minute we walked through the door. Very bright and very clean. Amazing views across the estuary. It was lovely to sit on that balcony first thing in the mornings and in the evenings. A very good location for the ferry and all the beautiful walks and of course the pub! We would definitely like to go back to that property.

  • "We barely needed the heating system but there are no instructions on how to use a complex system."

    I went to the office where you have an identical system and nobody knew how to use that either. Some explanation needed including ideally don’t touch it as I think others had tried as every heater said a different thing. Plenty of hot water but none in kitchen if bath runs. This is almost certainly rectified by a part on the mega flow cylinder. Otherwise small but charming and perfect for the golf course. I do think it is a bit curious thatwhen my wife rang to ask if there was a cafetière or coffee maker.( should have been on website ) she was told that it would be a breach of security so t she couldn’t be told. Woke gone mad !!

  • "It was a very comfortable and homely property."

    It was spotlessly clean and warm when we arrived. It's in a great location, with fabulous views of the Estuary and Padstow, and an easy walk to the shops and eating places in Rock. I would recommend a stay in 15 Slipway to family and friends.

  • "The house was spotlessly clean and lovely with almost everything you could want."

    I have taken one star away because in the very small print we were told that linen was not provided. i wonder how many people have arrived there only to find they have no bed sheets or towels provided because they had not read the small print. Apart from that irritation we had a great holiday and we were so lucky with the wonderful weather. A lovely place to stay and we would certainly return.

  • "Everything was as expected."

    (There was a broken blind on arrival but I managed to fix it). I would rent the property again. Good location & nice view of the estuary. Wish we could have stayed an extra week.

  • "We didn’t know there wasn’t any linen or bath towels."

    I only read bring tea towels (which were there) and beach towels. We even couldn’t rent them as they didn’t reply to me.

  • "A nicely equiped modern rental in a great location."

    It would have been nice to have had hot water available on our arrival. Some literature on the local amenities/attractions would have proved useful.

Slipway & Anchorage

The Slipway properties are all located at the bottom of Rock, on the other side of the road from the Rock Sailing club slipway.  There are three terrace rows of houses that alll have South facing aspects and balconies and offer a perfect spot to have family groups rent multiple properties so each family can be in the same place as their friends but also have some space and time to themselves..

Padstow 1.5 miles via ferry; Polzeath 2.8 miles; Wadebridge 6.2 miles.

Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.
