  • "Property is very run down although the kitchen is nice and well equipped."

All beds are old and worn out. Sinking into the mattresses. No table on the roof terrace. We made it work for us but don’t think we will be coming back to this property. Location is great.

Thank you so much for your feedback. All suggestions/comments can be viewed by the property owner so these are appreciated. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "In the past you had an arrangement to have a delivery from Nursery Stores which was very useful."

Missed that. The local office dealt with a problem about a radiator very quickly and efficiently. All out dealings with the local staff have been excellent. Lovely new kitchen and very well equipped. Adequate number of towels but bath towels too small. When we stayed here 8 years ago for Xmas the tree was already up which was lovely. This time there was nothing to indicate Xmas until we found the tree in the cellar and put it up. The house information could have included local churches. We also needed to know what to do with bottles. For many years it has been in at 3 and out at 10. Changed understandably immediately after Covid but should now go back. For 12 people to be out by 9.30 means a very early start. Trying to contact the local office meant going through Sykes head office which was annoying and didn’t always work. We have always found John Bray very good but not impressed with being part of Sykes.

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback with us. We are very pleased to hear that you were happy with our services and thank you for your suggestions on how to improve the property. We hope to welcome you back again in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "This is an amazing property in a great location."

Where it falls slightly short is in the state of repair. It could really use a lick of paint and some damp treatment. It also seemed like the roof was leaking when we had a downfall. The outside frontage should also be made safe for children with a fence on the sea wall.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We will be sure to take a look into everything you have mentioned. We are happy to hear that you had a good stay, we hope to welcome you back in the future! Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved No."

4, I celebrated my 60th Birthday with all my friends, the weather was amazing, everyone loved the house, perfect for a group of adults, luckily parking up the road was available (until the end of March), so everyone could park for free!. The rooms were all spacious, heating was great, the basement great for coming inside after a swim & walk. The kitchen was big enough for us all to be in at the same time & socialise. Best place, the window seat!. We all watched the rugby up on the terrace on the Saturday afternoon, inside watching & the others sitting outside with a drink!. We will definitely be back & the others all interested in booking for their friends!.

Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted that you had such a wonderful time at The Terrace 4. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. John Bray on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

  • "The property location is great for families and dogs, the property was clean and tidy."

Although the adjusted key collection times(4pm) and departure times (9am), are restrictive, and had to leave a day earlier - but hopefully when covid restrictions will relax at some point so will these times too. Rubbish bins were over flowing, although probably due the holiday collection times. Although overall great property, we love the window seats and the proximity of the beach for dog walking and trips to Padstow.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. We will be reviewing our processes post covid and seeing what is best to follow so we thank you for your comments on the matter. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "This is in response to your request for a review."

I am responding for us. We always eat well and this year was no exception. The Mariners as always lovely for a quick lunch and upstairs excellent. A small discovery for us was Fresh from the Sea at Port Isaac. A table outside with fresh lobster and crab and oysters to delight us all. Otherwise just the lovely walks either along the beach to Polzeath and across the dunes. We all love this house. All well and a lovely week weatherwise for a change which makes all the difference.
