  • "Location was excellent."

The floor layout and views are stunning. However, the property is in dire need of maintenance. It looked very "tired" with cobwebs and dirty glass on patios, rotten window frames and cracked tiles (hallways etc) and uneven paving to patios). Some mastic to showers etc was mouldy.

  • "Extremely disappointed with Moonbeams."

The location and views are exceptional, however the attention to detail, maintenance, and health and safety leave a lot to be desired. Certainly not worth the money we paid for our stay. Will be writing with issues, supported with photographic evidence, and suggestions to improve this property.

  • "We had a fab holiday here."

Location super. View of beach and sea stunning. House perfect size for number of people that can stay. Plenty of utensils etc in kitchen. Great that a whole pile of beach towels provided (we didn’t use them but a lovely touch - perhaps that could be added to info when booking so you don’t bring your own - unless it was and I missed it). A lovely touch leaving the biscuits and bag to keep. It came in very handy. We would recommend it without a doubt. But we do feel there are one or two things that need addressing and know that you will already be aware as they’ve been mentioned in reviews. The main one for us was the lounge balcony area floor. It needs fixing. It’s dangerous. We covered the broken tiles with a mat for the week so no one tripped or cut their feet/paws. The picnic table needs a lick of paint to tidy it up and make it cleaner. Clearer instructions in folder regarding rubbish days. It just says bag up rubbish and put in wheelie bin for Friday collection. We didn’t know which bin to use. I looked it up on Cornwall council site and date matched with black bin. When we left, the locals had brown and blue bins out. Also, on arrival all recycle boxes, bags were full (overflowing) at side of garage. We had nowhere to put our things from day one of the holiday. Other than that, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the setting for the house was a big part of this. Thank you.

  • "Firstly the positives - We had a great week with glorious weather, lovely house, very spacious with exceptional views, However various items let it down - firstly and most important were the broken tiles on the balcony outside the lounge this was a health and safety issue and has been mentioned in a previous comment but unfortunately this has been ignored, this needs to be reported before someone gets hurt."

the other items are all small and could be addressed easily - Seating on the downstairs patio only seats 8 - the table in the conservatory only seats 6 the patio furniture on the upstairs balcony only seats 8 this is a house for 10 guests. no roasting tins of any description, lots of small/medium pans but only one large pan so would have to use 3 pans for mashed potatoes for 10 - our welcome pack was 1 pint of milk and a few sachets of tea and coffee not enough for everyone to have a drink. This could be a stunning house with a little bit of TLC

Only missing item, though small is quite useful that would be foil and cling film. Especially foil to line oven trays etc.

  • "Great space and excellent facilities."

Let down by a few issues. The balcony spaces need cleaning and repair to the tiles as some are a definite trip hazard. The loft room balcony was flooded after it rained as the drain is blocked and has weeds growing in it. The views are amazing though. The bedrooms are spacious and each have an en-suite with shower or bath. Lots of storage for clothes etc. There are 3 TVs but the kitchen one had a remote that didn’t work properly. The dining room is a good size but desperately needs better lighting in there. We had to move a lamp from the lounge. As already mentioned, rest of the facilities within the house are very good. The location is perfect, within walking distance of the main road and supermarket and also the beach. The parking at the front of the house is plentiful and would easily take 3 cars. I’d certainly stay at Moonbeams again but would hope that the small issues had been rectified.

  • "Tiles broken in living room towards balcony also broken tiles elsewhere inside and out lots of trip hazards, kitchen cupboard doors damaged, a strong smell of sewage in the kitchen and the front single bedroom, shower traps filthy throughout the bathrooms, Pillows dirty, Cleaner didn't leave until 4:10 and we had to sit in our vehicles and wait for them to finish?"

WE had to de-weed and clean the balcony to be able to sit and enjoy, The property is a nice property and is situated in a very nice position, however needs some updating, and a good clean especially a good jet washing outside and bit of TLC. The property could also do with fencing at either side of property to allow your paying dog to roam without being leashed especially as the front gates are missing except the small side gate which is obvious to me that it is not intentionally missing, and some bare necessitys such as dog water bowl etc.. (these are basic things which all other property we have stayed at over the past 18years have included x3 times per year)
