  • "The house is ideally located to Tregenna castle where we were attending a wedding."

Also close to a supermarket and local pub, The Cornish Arms. There is a bus stop 3 minute walk from the property that takes you into St Ives town which was great as the car parks were always busy. The house has a beautiful view of Carbis Bay where we had a meal at the beach club and walked along the beach after. Unfortunately on our day of departure, our car wouldn’t start and we had to call the RAC out. The owners arrived for a short stay whilst we were waiting and could not have been more hospitable, offering us drinks and to wait inside with them which was really nice of them. Overall a lovey stay!

Thank you for your feedback we are pleased to see you had a lovely stay with us and hope you enjoyed the wedding. We are sorry to hear about you car breaking down and we appreciate the kindness of the owner's hospitality while you waited for the RAC. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the near future. Kindest regards, Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "Lovely home with nice living areas, views & a well equipped kitchen."

The downstairs bedrooms had ensuites & were better than the upper bedrooms, but at least there was a small toilet upstairs. Tescos & a local pub was within walking distance which was really handy. Suggest a map of walking trails in the area would also be handy. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback we are really pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay and the views. Kind regards from the team at Carbis Bay Holiday. Property Owner

  • "Two points to note, first the garden."

Fantastic layout and gated but my cocker spaniel did find an area of wall next to the front where you can park your cars that he was able to jump onto the side street. I was able to deal with it once I found out but it would really benefit from an extra gate area next to the front door to stop this. Second, very simple but just double check filter in dishwasher. Needed a good cleaning. Otherwise great place and fantastic location with a short walk to both Carbis Bay Beach and St Ives. Would totally recommend and stay again.

Thank you for your feedback, we will be sure to pass on you suggestion to the owners for their consideration and follow up with the housekeeper regarding the dishwasher. We are delighted to hear you would recommend The Pines and that you would stay again. We hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future. • "The place in general didn’t feel clean."

On the first day I used one of the en suites and there was hair and even a toe nail clipping in there. The beds are a bit rickety and not comfortable to sleep on at all. Other than that, plenty of facilities and a decent view but certainly not worth what we paid.

Thank you for your feedback. We are saddened to hear that you found the property not up to our usual standards. We would always like the opportunity to rectify any points so please contact one of the local team on 01736 630015 and we will be able to assist straight away. We hope to get the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Kind Regards, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team Property Owner

  • "Property was very light and airy with great views from dining room."

Kitchen was very well equipped. Also a bonus having on suite bathrooms to the bedrooms downstairs. I would definitely recommend this property for a very comfortable stay. Very conveniently situated as Tesco 2 minute walk away and a great local pub Cornish Arms for great pub grub and quiz night on Wednesday. It was a nice walk either way to Carbis bay and St Ives down hill it's a good workout on way back. Although you can get bus back from St Ives. All in all a great holiday. Thank you for sharing your lovely house.

  • "Really lovely holiday home."

Great location. My only suggestions would be to have the windows cleaned so you can see the incredible view and comfier sofas. They seemed quite cheap and were not comfy. We went as 2 families of 4 so 8 in total and not really enough sofa space in the living room. Other than that, a lovely stay. Thank you

Thank you for giving us feedback were are glad that you had a lovely stay. We shall take the points you have raised into account for future improvements. Kind Regards, Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

The house is lovely and the chaise lounge is a perfect addition to soak up the sea view. The kitchen was lovely and all our party said beds were comfy and all rooms clean and tidy. Really appreciated that we had ground floor rooms and also dog friendly a rare but perfect combination for our clan. Thankyou

  • "Great location, easy walk to St Ives."

Bus back £1.60 per adult single. Train return £2.00, not so easy walking back up the hill. Pendolva in St Ives nice place to go for coffee or lunch and great views, good place if its raining. Enjoyed the view from the dining room, we loved watching the baby seagulls on the roof opposite.

  • "Really enjoyed staying in this beautiful house perfect for us as we love walking to Porthminster beach."

The weather was mixed but we made the most of it. We would recommend Becks fish restaurant. Hope they don't have any further issues with the heat pump.

  • "Thank you for a lovely stay here."

View is fantastic, we all had a turn on the chaise lounge. We had everything we needed, even a treat for Betty pup! Bus service was great so didn't have to drive everyday & Tesco handy 2mins away. Everything clean & tidy. Thank you! Tips for guests, TeeCee's diner is great for breakfast, La Casita was great for dinner, path by side of B&B next door leads to coastal path but steep- not great if mobility issues. Taxis are great.

  • "This property was not up to a clean standard."

The hot water and heating system was a hit and a miss and had to call in staff on two occasions to fix it. The information book reference heating system and water needs updating and there is no instructions on how to operate the TV. I will say the staff at Carbis bay holidays office were very helpful and dealt with our problems very professionally.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback after your stay at The Pines. We are sorry to hear you faced difficulties with the hot water and heating during your stay, however, are pleased to hear that members of our team were able to resolve the issues in a professional manner. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the near future. Best wishes, The Carbis Bay Holidays Team. Property Owner

  • "The house looks very clean and modern: it fits very well with the calm vibe of St Ives and Carbis Bay."

The kitchen is well stocked, Tesco is only a 3 minute walk away, incredibly convenient if you like to cook. Despite the rainy weather, we had a wonderful 7 days, packed with many activities, such as visiting Lands End, walking alson the Land path to St Michaels Island, chilling on the Carbis Bay Beach (thanks to the close coastal paths) etc. We would love to come here again in the future!

  • "The house is lovely, fully kitted out for everything in mind."

Nice touch to have picnic equipment. We were blessed with amazing weather. Loved Carbis Bay Beach & Porthminster Beach. We have dogs, they are allowed on the harbor side beach when tide is out.The costal path leads all the way to Porthminster Beach to the left and Carbis Bay to the right. Access down the side of the B&B next door, go through the kissing gate. Water sports, we hired the self drive boats. The blue building by harbour, where yellow flags are is where you can book boat rides. If you fancy a treat and a little luxury I can recommend the Spa at the Carbis Bay Hotel. I got an offer - beach mermaid offer. A real tranquil beautiful place. All in all, we had a super holiday, visiting nearby St Michaels Mount, Sennen Cove and Lands End. We all loved it. Thank you!
