The only issue is the tight awkward access into/out of shower cubicle. Not ideal if like me your 6ft +. Narrow gap to negotiate

  • "The owner was very friendly and helpful and left a very welcome cream tea as a welcome pack."

The cottage is in a lovely location, with easy access to many tourist spots, and has a lovely and peaceful garden in which to relax. However, we did find the sofa uncomfortable, the bed was rather creaky, and the shower door access very small, which made it difficult to get in if your not thin. However, despite these faults,we did enjoy our stay.

The gardens were a delight. Bed very comfortable and the rooms very spacious. Well positioned for lots of interesting places to visit. An extremely good pub, The Coach and Horses, nearby. Andrea, the owner couldn't have been more helpful. John and Jane

Well equipped. The garden is big and beautiful with amazing exotic plants. The cottage and surroundings are very clean and tidy. The whole place it’s very relaxing and the host is very welcoming. The parking is provided, however it’s a bit narrow and it’s difficult to manoeuvre it the available space, the road view a bit restricted. Cottage is located in a quiet place surrounded by plants. The beach is big and beautiful. I strongly recommend this place and I would like to come back in the future.

About the location

PRAA SANDS

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
