  • "Details that are crucial for customers confidence in booking is missing from the listing and attempts to get it via the WhatsApp chat with Sykes was completely fruitless."

When listing EV chargers, it’s vital that the connector type, if need own cable and if there are any charges. The property itself was as described, beautifully appointed and provided a wonderful base for exploring Cornwall’s lower extremities. It was well equipped for self catering. Had ample space for 6 people. The hot tub and outside space was great after a day of exploring. The parking space is a little tight and interesting when reversing out as it’s on a corner and whilst it’s a very quiet road, it seems at its busiest when trying to leave. The addition of a free to use (courtesy of the solar panels) type 2 Zappi EV charger, makes this a great cottage for those travellers who want to be eco conscious.

We are sorry that you had difficulty in obtaining information about our EV charger. It is frustrating because Sykes have this information. In respect of the parking space, it is 3m wide which is 60cm wider than a standard car parking space. We’re glad that you enjoyed your holiday and our lovely cottage. We hope these minor points didn’t spoil your enjoyment of it. We will be taking up the issue regarding the charger with Sykes. Kind regards Sally & Andy Property Owner

  • "Wow what a beautiful and well equipped cottage."

The owners have thought of everything. Very well appointed, loved all the paintings and little touches, my grandson particularly loved the fishes in the downstairs toilet. Shame about the weather though. Close to many beaches and well positioned to tour southern Cornwall., Great fish and chip shop nearby. Hope to return again one day.

  • "This is an absolutely stunning holiday cottage in a lovely location."

There really is very little to criticise, and so many great things about this cottage. It is extremely clean, well equipped and beautifully presented. The owners have sympathetically renovated the cottage, and it is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. The location is a small village just north of Praa Sands. It is a great location to cycle from, as well as to base yourself for a surfing holiday . Early on in our stay, we had some very heavy rain, and mud washed over the front of the property from up the lane. The owners became aware of this due to their CCTV, and rapidly responded (within an hour!) and cleared the front area themselves. They are absolutely delightful, and extremely helpful if you encounter any problems. My only concern, is that if we over-egg this review, it may become so popular that we can’t ever book in again! An amazing location and an amazing cottage!

Thank you so much for your amazing review. We’re so glad you enjoyed your holiday & hope that you managed to visit Andrew Giddens galleries. We look forward to welcoming you all back Best wishes Sally & Andy Property Owner

  • "Beautiful cottage."

Exactly as advertised. We had a lovely stay. Everything you could want/need all provided. Cottage is tastefully decorated, comfortable and welcoming. Delicious scones, jam and cream provided on arrival plus a couple of other necessities which were appreciated. Stargazy is in a great location, really handy for Perranuthnoe (lovely food at the Cabin/Tipsy Crab and Peppercorn cafe), Penzance, Marazion and St Ives. Brilliant beaches at Perranuthnoe and Porthminister. We really did have a magical trip to Cornwall and Stargazy was a key part of why it all worked so well. Provision of some small fans for the bedrooms ( it was really hot at night) is the only thing I can think of which would have added to our stay. Last mention should be of the hot rib which we used every night under clear dark skies - magical.

Thank you for your very kind review, we’ve tried hard to make Stargazy something that we would want when we are on holiday. Your point about the fans is a good one & is something we will address. We hope you will choose to return to Stargazy again in the future. Thank you again for your review Property Owner

  • "Stargazy Cottage was a delight for our family holiday."

It had all the perks of a cottage we prefer; a hot tub, fabulous decor, parking. We couldn’t fault it. The cottage is situated in Trescowe and even though it’s on a road; that road isn’t busy or noisy. The surroundings are so tranquil and peaceful. Which is ideal for us as we wanted to get away from busy home life. The cottage has excellent information so you can get your bearings and see how far things are away. Praa Sands beach was the closest and provided an excellent day out. In all honesty we are very sad to leave. And are hoping to return soon. If I had to be really, really picky I would say it would be helpful to have kitchen roll or some kind of kitchen cleaning equipment to help clean up spillages. The bed linen on the master bed felt rough and some of the pillows were rock hard. But these are really minor things!! This is an excellent cottage for families young and old. Highly recommended

Thank you for your very kind review, we’re so glad you had such an enjoyable stay. Your feedback is helpful & appreciated & will be addressed. We look forward to welcoming you back to Stargazy Cottage in the future Property Owner

  • "Where to start!"

What a wonderful cottage, it is stunning, everything has been thought about, there is nothing they don’t have. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. All excellent quality appliances, including a washing machine which is a godsend when there are a few of you. All the en-suites are fabulous and the decor throughout the cottage is of a very high quality. Everything was fantastic! The only downside is that the small double bed in the Stargazy room is indeed small, it does say this in the listing but I don’t think we realised how small it would be. But seriously other than that this cottage is perfect. We have already recommended it to a number of friends.

Thank you so much for your kind review & recommending Stargazy Cottage to your friends. We’re glad you enjoyed your holiday & look forward to welcoming you back. Property Owner

PRAA SANDS

Marazion 4.5 miles ; Helston 6 miles ; Porthleven 5 miles

The village of Praa Sands sits on the south coast in between Helston and Marazion. Praa Sands is known for its mile-long sandy beach and excellent surfing conditions. There is a bar/restaurant overlooking the beach – the perfect spot for lunch with a view or sunset drinks. Praa Sands is also home to a Golf and Country Club, from where the most wonderful sea vista can be enjoyed whilst you play. Just inland from the beach is Pengersick Castle, the tower of which dates back to the 16th century. It is said that Pengersick is haunted, and that the ghost of a monk has been seen wandering the grounds! The house at Pengersick is rumoured to be the birth place of John Carter, the self styled King of Prussia and a tunnel which leads from the house to the beach was apparently once used by smugglers. There are supermarkets and other retail stores in Penzance (8 miles) and Helston (6 miles).
